A Wharton sale will come down to if JDT gets 85% to spend in this window.

If that's a NO , I can't see JDT or GB entertaining the idea.

The longer we can't get transfer fee money out of India the need to generate it from sales grows larger with the results on the pitch alarming.

True saleable assets are few and far between . Getting a million here or there for a first team player ain't going to generate a fund decent enough to attract better first team players.

It's a certainly a conundrum for the manager and GB I suspect

Is this something you've heard through the grapevine Glen?

You can find out how many home tickets have been sold by inspecting the classes on the Ticket Map SVG, on the website.

I've just checked, and found that we've sold around 5835 home tickets at this point. (3176 in the JW, 1790 in the BBE Lower, 869 in the Riverside)

    An update on this;

We've now sold ~6522 home tickets. (3617 in the JW, 1966 in the BBE Lower, 939 in the Riverside)

Not bad, considering it's an early cup game on a cold Monday night, and against a teeny-tiny little League 2 club.

  3. 15m is way too low for Adam, and i'll be pissed if we even entertain it.

He's a very rare talent, the kind of which we may not produce for a very long time. We need to squeeze out every penny that we can.

    I doubt he fancies a move to Palace for some reason, but if it turns out he actually does, i'd give them 2 options;

    A - 20m with a 25% sell-on clause. Plus, Rak-Sakyi permanently (with a 25% sell-on clause to you).
    or
    B - 25m with a 30% sell-on clause.

We're in the driving seat for this one...

    - He's Rovers born and bred, and is in no rush to leave.
    - He has 4 years left on his contract.
    - Young and English, with massive potential.
    - He starts pretty much every match for the club he loves.
    - There are many other clubs with their eyes on him.

  4. Although he's more for the future, i'm happy with the signing of O'Riordan.

I've read some of the Crewe fan's reactions, and they pretty much all seem to think we've had their pants down getting him for 500k - pricing him more in the 2m region.

On the other hand, we still desperately need experience... if they're spending that much on a kid, they'd better have more to spend on the more pressing matters - and can expect pelters if not!

Maybe they want to get the sign off from the court to be able to send x amount over and then the Gallagher sale wouldn’t impact on it. Otherwise it may be reduced by the courts in line with the amount we sell him for

    Correct.

"Hold on, why are you trying to send £11m to the club? They've just sold Sam Gallagher for £2m, you only need to send £9m!"

    What a mess.

  6. All transfer dealings, no matter how cheap, have clearly been put on hold whilst we wait for the decision from the Indian court.

Meanwhile, Clubs around us are strengthening. Our once great club is in freefall, desperately in need of reinforcements... and at the mercy of some judge in India who probably has no idea who we are.

The next hearing will conveniently be scheduled in towards the end of the summer window too, so there'll be nothing to see there either.

Get those wankers out of our club.

EDIT: Vicky Kiankaulua, plays in Belgium. Winger/forward. 22.

You know the club is scraping the barrel when they can only afford to buy a bloke called Vicky.

  8. Hopefully sales pick up for this one over the next few days. Just bought my tickets when I found out it's our next game - I assume others will do the same!

Realistically, early cup rounds never really pull in big crowds, let alone against League 2 opposition.

Plus, a good chunk of our regulars might not be aware of Wrexham's current 'Hollywood' status, so will just see them as little minnows who aren't worth catching a cold for - and I agree with that...

However, since their arrogant, plastic fans think they're the biggest team outside of the big 6, I really hope we bring a good couple thousand more than them, and give them a proper tonking.

JDTs had a “shift in tone” according to Elliott. Wont talk about transfers or anything off field.

Who can guess what mad shit we’ve done now?

The poor bloke is probably sick of repeating himself regarding transfers, either that or he's had a telling off for all of the (well-deserved) digs he makes?

When he was last in the Championship he scored 12 goals and I think played in all or most games. So not great at this level, but a lot better than what we seem to be aiming for.

And to think we signed Wahlsted with that kind of money.

12 goals in a poor side (that got relegated) isn't too bad!

That's more than Gally has ever had in a Championship season aint it?
