  1. I keep fluctuating - one day I feel like we have absolutely no chance, the next I can be full of hope.

If we can maintain the same level of aggression and determination that we displayed in the second half against Hudds throughout the rest of our remaining games, and keep creating chances (54 shots in our last 3 games) then I think we've a decent chance.

There's certainly a team in there, with a few minor refinements I guess we could make the play-offs. What do you think?

  2. Would like to see us go with this;

Time for Kami to come back in, and Scotty in for Carter who's dipped a bit lately. Would like to see Leonard start too, a fearless and hungry natural striker is exactly what this squad has been missing for a while.

I'm not very confident for this game though tbh - getting a 'final nail in the coffin' feeling, for some reason. Feeling like it could be a 0-1 Hull.

Hope that isn't the case though of course, come on Rovers!

  3. Got a good feeling watching Leonard yesterday. He looks like he can be a real handful, good movement and good positioning - a hunger for goals just oozes out of him.

It's clear that he's a natural striker and goal scorer, and that's literally all we've been missing. He may be young and inexperienced, but a fearless youngster looking to make a statement can't be a bad thing for this side.

Whatever the case, i'd feel more confident with him in front of goal than I would Gally or Vale - hope he starts against Hull!

Could there be north of 20k? Or is that pushing it a bit? North of 18k Mayne?

From the Ticket Map, i've found that there are now ~15k seats taken in the home stands. Apparently Norwich are bringing 2k... so we're already at around 17k!

20k might be a bit of a push - but with further online sales and walk-ins i'm sure we'll surpass 18k.

Confirmation that Reading have now been deducted six points which leaves them precariously close to the bottom three. I hope they go down. It's a horrible, soulless stadium with few amenities in the surrounding area and awful car parking.

Potentially good news for us - since they have games with Luton, Coventry and PNE before the season ends.

Hopefully this can fire them up enough to grind a couple of results in those games.

Highly unlikely though... they're absolutely shite these days.

I'd go with this personally. Dacky up top, but have him and Szmodics quite fluid and switching when it suits.

Have Szmods further up when out of possession, utilising his high energy and pressing. Then have Dacky in and around the box as much as possible when on the front foot. In any case, i'd feel way more comfortable with either of Dack/Smodz in a 1v1 than I would Gally, he just can't be relied on for goals at this stage.

Would start Sorba too, we can't play him next Monday so it's worth keeping Hedges fit and ready for that game with Hudds. Besides, Sorba has been decent for the most part - let's give him the benefit of the doubt! He makes a big difference when he's playing well.

Adam Wharton for Morton too, because i'd honestly rather JDT field himself than see Morton out there again - the lad has good potential but he's holding us back right now. Wharton is clearly better anyway, we need to get his 'situation' resolved pronto - we've a potential future England player there ffs!

Praying for +3 in this game, COYB

Haha that's not my kit, I just found a picture of a massive kit cos I thought it was funny.

DW do sound immense though. My mate has a three piece with a Ludwig black beauty.

Ahahaha, you had me seriously jealous for a second there 😂

Oh yeah DW shells are in a league of their own! Black Beauty's are brill too, always worth investing in a good snare.

    Pears for me

                  Pears

    JRC Carter Hyam Pickering

            Travis Morton

    Thomas Szmodics BBD

                Gallagher

    Ditto this!

However, BBD hobbled off holding his leg around the 50th last night - anyone know the extent of his knock?

Praying it's nothing serious, he'd just about found his feet again!

Bloody international friendlies at this stage in the season 🙄

  9. We're at the business end of the season now, it's all to play for - and looking at the table it's still pretty tight at both ends!

Which 3 do you think will go up to the PL? Which 3 do you think will go down to L1?

    I'll go first I guess!

    Up
    Burnley (1st)
    Middlesbrough (2nd)
    Rovers (PO)

    Down
    Wigan (24th)
    Blackpool (23rd)
    Rotherham (22nd)

  10. After a bit of tinkering with the seat map on the site, i've found that ~11,900 tickets are taken at this point for home supporters with ~5,800 still available (excluding BBE upper of course).

Poor do at £10 a ticket IMO, I know it's a Wednesday night and not the most mouth watering fixture - but at that price I expected at least 2k more.

Hopefully more people will buy in the next couple of days and get behind the lads!

  11. Stoke away was never going to be a walk in the park, but boy were they up for it?! It was clear early on that it was going to be a bad day at the office for us. They brought us down a peg or two, to say the least.

On the bright side, at least we ended the game well. Given our recent results, it could be considered 'a blip' I suppose?

Anyway... We need 3 points against Reading, or we can kiss the play-offs goodbye. Hoping for a dominant win, but there's every chance we'll make it harder for ourselves than it should be.

Will predict a 1-0 win, BBD to score. COYB.

  12. Our recent wins are much more credible than theirs, we're clearly the more in-form side here. Teams will not be wanting to play us at the moment.

Stoke away always sounds daunting, it's a fixture i'm usually not too confident about... but with the way we're performing lately, I just can't see us slowing down anytime soon. We're defensively solid and creating way more chances.

They had a solid win at the weekend, but I think we bring them back down a peg on Friday and give them a good hiding.

3-0 to the Rovers! Gallagher to score and a brace for Dolan.
