  1. We simply cannot expect Sparky to pull a rabbit out of the hat every time we sell our best players.

i understand what your saying, but i dont believe that getting a striker who could score 15-20 goals for £10m (or however much we would possibly get for Benni) would be the equivalent of pulling a rabbit out of the hat. Hughes knows a good striker so he should be able to replace him with that sort of cash.

All hypothetical of course, id much rather he stays here. If he goes there is a pretty bad trend developing....

  2. If things continue the way they are going i cant see Nelsen ever leaving us to be honest. He doesnt seem like a money motivated player...and so long as Fergie gets his way and Quiros gets the Utd job, then i would thing that Sparky would be with us for a while too...certainly the next 4 years.

  3. He's a player who ain't improving the team at all in my opinion. I thought it was embarrassing when we signed him and I was sure he wouldn't get much playing time. Now it seems Hughes thinks he is good enough to hold down a regual place in our starting XI, and that really is sad.

I just hope Samba can show some quality and Nelsen to stay fit, because I do not want to see Henchoz playing 20-30 games a season for us!

Henchoz hasn't stepped a foot wrong since he's been back in the team that i can remember so he hasnt given any reason to drop him. If someone plays well, they should keep their place in the team (see Derbyshire!)

I highly doubt that he will play a major part in the first team next season, but he has showed that he can be depended on when called into the team so he deserves this extension in my opinion. I

Its not like hughes signed him to be first choice, but injuries have dictated that he got his chance and he's grabbed it with both hands!

  4. All this Mokoena bashing is getting a bit much...

He aint going to distributed the ball like tugay does, but that isnt why he is in the team...he is in the team to win tackles!! Which he does!! Get over it!!

I guess people need something new to moan about now that Neill has moved on though!!

  5. well if thats the case, you lot should wait a few weeks before attacking him

Thanks to Neill for 5 good years at the club, and thanks for rejecting liverpool cos I hate them. He has gone to west ham most likely because of the fantastic contract they offered him, I don't like it, but thats how football is unfortunatly.

I won't boo him when comes back to Ewood with west ham, but unfortunatly most of the Ewood crowd will...nothing I can do with that either, thats how most football fans brains are programmed.

I haven't actually attacked him though have i...

I reckon the time was right, i wouldn't have been able to trust him playing for the rest of the season knowing that he's leaving. Silly when you consider that his performances have generally been good this term but that pessimism for you!

The thing the annoys me about this transfer is the fact that everytime i get a shirt with a name on the back they leave!! First George Donis, now Lucas...any advice on who i should get next? Mokoena anyone?! :P

  6. I feel like everytime he opens his mouth there's less chance he will become our next manager...something that i wanted to happen.

It's not the things he's saying but rather the way he puts it across...there's enough predujice against rovers for being dirty or whatever...could you imagine what it would be like if we had the refferee hating, woman hating and foreing player hating Mike Newell in charge?!!

  7. If it's true then im glad we didnt go for Dunn. Without Reid its even more important toget someone in who isn't going to break down every few weeks.

Dont forget that the Axe can still come in and do a role.

Its really important that we get someone in with quality, rather than looking for a bargain.

    Koumas or Sidwell for me

  8. I dont think he be going anywhere for a while, its obvious that he's rated by the management. I think he's done a good job this season..he's certainly improving from when he first started playing in a four man midfield.

As for the mokoena- derbshire thing...i would say the the axe was more impressive at Everton..but as his name wasnt on the scoresheet most of you lot dont acknowledge his contribution.

I think Gallagher was more impressive than Derbyshire aswell..not that i dont rate the lad though...but just because he scored two tap ins doesnt mean he's the new messiah!

  9. Don't start on Hughes, it's not his fault. We will get back on track and win this match. Pedersen and Bentley to score, 1-2 Rovers. Not sure why I believe this, but I would love that as a result.

How the hell is it not his fault? He's themanager so it is his fault...

Even my blind grandmother can see that there's something drastically wrong....yet he has refused to change it for soo long, and now he has a plays this peach of a formation!!

Edit: Nonda is on so everything is saved!
