And they say "the money we are going to raise by selling all the first team squad and raising money by renaming Ewood Park "The Totally Wicked Stadium" "
That could be the same day this old fogey decides he'll never again set foot inside our historic stadium. (And that's a different point from the way our owners' representatives are caring for the fabric of the stadium.)

Prepared to spend or able to spend? Because that's the situation. I'm 100% not defending them for a second let me make that clear.
Of course they should spend on stadium maintenance, it's no coincidence that crackpot owners like the Glazers have left Old Trafford to rot too, same at Birmingham amongst others. On the basis they never visit, who's actually flagging up things like this though? Travelling to grounds up and down the country its bizarre how many other grounds need sprucing up too.
Not that I follow closely what goes on at Manchester Un-tied, but I thought the Glazers had started showing their faces more often at Old Trafford in recent months.
Perhaps someone who's angrier at Venky's than I am - they've worn me down - could tell me how long it is that any of the Raos have been spotted in BB2??

Spot on.
Organise, organise and then organise again.
Make life feckin difficult for the opposition.
Remember when we beat Spurs in the League Cup Final in Cardiff some 20 years ago with the players available (several missing), Souey got a tune out of what we had - physical (Hughes prowling midfield) aggressive and organised. Pre match, not many gave us a prayer - we stuffed it back down their throats.
Apologies; I know this isn't relevant to the subject of this thread, but I heard Radio 5's best-ever programme that day, sitting in one of the coaches in a traffic jam on the M4, listening to all the Spurs' fans whingeing about the result of that game!
Back on topic, it's now down to JDT to 'do a Souey' with the material at his disposal.

Venky's have supposedly set the price at £20m plus add-ons, so he's not going for less than it no matter what clubs offer.
I'm not getting at you, @philibut what does this actually mean?
Does it mean you're guessing (hoping? praying?!) that Venky's have set £20 million + add-ons as a sum below which, they won't sanction BBD's sale? Or that you've read someone who claims to be in the know - but of course can't reveal their sources - has said it.
Time for all similar statements to be treated with a lot of doubt, methinks. What'll happen will happen, whether or not we speculate about it.

Marius Lode got his work permit application rejected yesterday (no surprise). We were the club in the Championship with the offer, heard this from two different reporters.
Anyway, won't happen now.
Presumably there's no right of appeal??

Players hammering home the message that we don't with the result !
Let's not get carried away here! Yes; they were an inexperienced team which has beaten what at the moment is a League Two mid-table team in a game which, hands on hearts, very few of us expected us to win.
But, at present, that's all Bradford City are; halfway up the old Division Four.
Hopefully, by the time we play in the third round of the League Cup, Greg will have got us a bigger, more experienced squad than JDT was able to put out last night and some of those lads will be on the bench hoping to come on. Others may be on loan to develop their experience elsewhere. And in a kitchen somewhere on Teesside, a 59-year-old former football manager will drop his slice of lemon drizzle cake in surprise at how far we've got in this season’s League Cup!

Forget the Liverpool twitterati; I must confess that I wondered what the Liverpool management team’s reaction would be when they learned what position Morton had played for us last night.
On balance, I'd have thought they'd be pleased for him. It must surely be good for them to know that if he's playing for them in seasons to come and one of their centre-halves is injured, he could fill in there for them.

Carabao Cup Videos & Highlights | Sky Sports Football
They'll be on here eventually. Just keep refreshing the link. They've loaded up most of tonights games, just not the Rovers game as yet.
The highlights of our game have now been loaded up.
The big question they pose in my mind is how on earth (Anglo-saxon phrases may occur to others!) did Bradford City's goal end up in our net? Did Pears let it squirm under his body?

Anywhere I can see the goals or highlights please chaps?
If, like me, you don't have Sky TV, they'll be on ITV4 tomorrow night from 10.30 pm. (They'll be towards the end of the programme because - if I remember correctly - the highlights programmes have to show first the games played that evening.)

Well; according to 2 separate posts further up this page - and according to Radio 5 - it was Markanday.

No matter how hard I look, I can't see us getting through.
Sparky's job of motivating his team for tonight was never likely to be difficult, given his own links with the club, let alone those of Smallwood & even Chapman. And even we finish level at full time, then I fear we'll lose on pens. While that will be yet another premature exit from the League Cup, it'll be less unacceptable than being beaten by a team whose own League form has surely been poorer than their fans expected.
So, with fingers firmly🤞 , my best hope is that we don't disgrace ourselves.- 1

9 days is both a very long time and not very long at all, so I’m anxious to see movement, but aware that we could have a signing lined up to announce this afternoon and I’d be none the wiser either way. I have to be hopeful and assume everyone is capable, but the only time I’ll know is at the end of it.
Thanks @Bethnal; that's exactly how I - and I can't help wondering how many others of the silent majority of readers of this Board - feel.
I just kinda want the window to have closed and then we'll know exactly what - who! - JDT has to work with until the next window opens. And, for me, the fewer nudges and winks from those who claim to be in the know, the better. It's not big and it's not clever, imo.
I'm perhaps a bit more sceptical than you, @Bethnal. It feels to me like the new model of running the club with Broughton - operating as the latter-day John Williams(?) - deciding who he can recommend our owners to approve buying but being hamstrung by the bureaucracy which seems to bedevil communications between Ewood and Pune.
I hope that the new team of Broughton and JDT can work some kind of miracle that I thought they were working after three Championship games; but at present it's a case of "Calm down, dears" as we wait to see just whom JDT and his backroom team have to work with.

Not disputing any of the answers; just wondering how far from the sea-front in Kirkcaldy is Raith Rovers' ground??
I came past there on the train on my way to/from the pre-season Friendly game at Dundee last month and it felt really close to the seaside.

It's a particularly cruel disease that's taken him, specially as sgig notes, when he put so much effort into his games. RIP, Lenny.

I have an old schoolpal of that persuasion who now lives in NZ. I can't wait to break the news to him in an early morning call!
It's 5.13 tomorrow morning there presently and it's taking all my willpower not to ring him!😉

Score on the door? I'm going for a shock, with us only getting a 1-1 draw.
Cancel the above last paragraph!
I share the view of my Geordie pals about Bruce's abilities as a manager; and with the news from WBA's game last night, I'm now more optimistic than I was about Sunday's game.
I'm quietly confident about a 1-0 win, with the goal coming from an opportunistic effort from Dack.

Good answer, @Iceman!!
I should, of course, have asked, "How long is it since any of the Raos were seen in BB2 4?"
