Looks like he's got experience. Perhaps brings some Brighton experience of how to manage the admin dept. They do well with their tsfs

Looks tidy. Loan with purchase option?

Im not sure on renewing McFadzean's deal. I think hes very much helped in doing the job this season, amidst a very defensive set up trying to scrape over the line. That being said, I was hoping that wed move away from the back 5, backs to the walls, incapable of attacking style that weve seen as a short term stop gap. If McFadzean plays thats the only way we can play.
He'd be cheap. In the door. Knows what the gaffer wants. Knows the sqaud. Could end up being a coach.
I'd keep him

We can get loans in but the number of=players willing to sign on full time to the Chicken Chokers Flying Circus are few and far between. Only if there are no alternatives will most players join up. The world of pro football isn’t very big and everybody knows about the shit show behind the scenes at Ewood Park.
It’s obvious really. If you were in the market for a new job and your choices were a couple of well run, forward looking, stable companies and a nightmare place where you don’t know what the future holds where would you go ?
The nightmare place would have to be paying well over the odds before any sane person would consider going there.
Hopefully players see Sammie doing his bits from being where he was and take the leap. We've actually developed a few players over time, Raya, Elliott Wharton Diaz all playing in the premiership. Maybe we aren't that bad at attracting potential who will see us as a stepping stone

I’ve said it before but 90% of the players who’ve signed recently at Rovers only come here because nobody else is interested. The minute it becomes a two or three horse race it’s over.
Exactly..
Billy K...
Do you think we will get Hill back on loan? I think we are going to be loaning in for the foreseeable

Last summer we didnt sign a left back under the rhetoric of not blocking pathways with Batty as back up, when in reality we had no money. Batty played one game against Walsall, was awful, and hasnt come close to playing since even when Pickering has been injured, with us having to play someone out of position to cover him for half a season before we could loan in cheap back up in Chrisene.
At least with Gent, he has proven at senior level that he is up to it, or so it seems. There are still question marks, he is playing in the Scottish League which isnt the greatest, his team have struggled and I havent seen him play but if hes more of a wing back say and we want to play a back 4, he might not fit in. But at least there is more potential for him to provide some cover, with more confidence as opposed to spending a year playing in the under 21s. We should never assume that players can step up purely on kids football, Gilsenan seems to be doing really well for example but he himself could have done with a loan, as it is we dont know if he can make the step up or be like Vale etc who couldnt.
With presumably a small budget and an onus to slash the wage budget, I fear that problem positions will continue to remain weak. Are Venkys really going to authorise us signing a keeper when we have 2, one who got a pay rise and a long deal last summer and one who was our only paid for signing. Venkys wont care that the pair cost us loads of goals and I doubt any club is stupid enough to take either from us. Equally, our team is slow, dull and lacks goals. We badly need a couple of quick wide men who can offer a goal threat. We have Hedges who is our best wide man but doesnt score many and is injury prone and might miss pre season, Dolan who flatters to deceive, Sigurdsson who has been poor and Markanday who is nowhere near up to it. But unless we can shift one, will they allow us to strengthen and add to the wage bill? Possibly not.
What happened to Batty?

I really didn't like his pressers and post match analysis so I had to stop watching and reading... however. He did keep us up.
He is our manager.
The boys obviously play for him.
The Bristol game hopefully was a one off
I'm backing him to keep us up and hopefully mid table next season

How about a temporary lock? For say, three months?
Optimistic there mate haha!! Let's give it a few months and then review. Clearly the boys appreciate JE and he has shored up the defence. We may not be down there next season once he gets his pre season underway.
-
I'd hope we keep the fella. He clearly is good enough even around the poor quality we have. Get hedges fit and jrc a full pre season. Would be great to hold on to all those ones, even Dolan.

Any news about offloading telalovic?

Can this thread be closed now?
We are staying in the championship. Let's be positive and focus on what we can achieve next season

That is the sort of stat which will catch Southgate's attention and he will know all about Adam at England youth levels.
He's in with a chance, if he was with a Big Name Club he would because shoe in.
Would be great to see him at an arsenal, city Liverpool villa or spurs. Hope he doesn't go to Chelsea or utd!!

It was his decision making ability that caught my eye when I first saw him play. He’s two moves ahead all the time. “ The ability to make the right decision at speed under pressure is what separates the top players from the also rans “.
Unfortunately no one else in our side was on his level so he was two moves ahead of everyone

Very surprised by Hull decision to sack Rosenior now.
He will have offers this summer I would imagine
Yeh agreed. Seems very ungrateful for his efforts.
Wonder if it were a mutual agreement rather than sacking?

Now we're safe, I'm sure he'll look back on this period as a pre pre-season. As fraught as it's been, it's been the perfect situation to assess what he does and doesn't need.
Looks like bucko isn't wanted by him either

Apart from Shearer who absolutely smashed it in every single time.
He was also the best of all time so probably just an outlier.
Sammie is class getting goals considering the dross he plays with ( Wharton has been excellent and is one of those gems but Sammie continued to score even after Wharton left)
A mate messaged me said "oh he's worth £25m easily..!
On another point.. any changes Ipswich still want Gally now they are promoted?

Moran's attitude was shocking.
After a bright beginning at Rovers, a run of starts in the first team seemed to knock the stuffing out of him. He hides from the ball and shirks his responsibilities now any time he's brought on.
God I forgot we still had him. Agreed. Started off well and declined rapidly.

Fair play. Especially after his poor performances lately. Well played today son. Well played. Now let's sell him and invest in a proper keeper

I said at the time Pears value will never be as high again as it was last summer. Should have sold him and Kaminski whilst we had the chance. Nobody is paying money for Pears this summer, too many clangers.
So true. He had looked sellable after the tail end of last season. That was our opportunity

Really? Didn't feature under Eustace much compared to under JDT.
If the coach doesn't want him he can go
Yep. He has given enough up for the club. Best we shift him
Stats below show he played 60-90mins most games under JDT then after QPR his appearance no.s drop dramatically bar a couple of games..now he is injured
Doesn't suit JE style?
