Can you coach someone to score? I think we're expecting a bit much here considering our forwards (inc wingers and attacking mids) haven't been prolific under multiple managers if you look at their scoring records, aside from Dack for a couple of seasons pre injury.

    Are you serious?

Of course you can. That's why football has coaches.

Look at any team anywhere and see how good coaches develop players into better players.

JDT has been coaching them to pass better press better and control possession but he needs to focus on getting players into the box.

Dolan looks like he tried yesterday. He actually took shots. So did JRC.

  2. "It’s more or less the same old story and having the same talk, what we didn’t see was games, that was the only thing.”

No shit JDT. Why can't he learn from the games and coach them to score then?

"When you’re at this stage of the season you would want your only senior No.9 Sam Gallagher to be involved in every game."

Really. Is he being serious. Sam has been awful. We need others to step up. He shouldn't be blaming the lack of Sam. What about BBD or Dack or hedges etc.

"The performance at that level at this stage of the season with this young squad not used to playhign for the play-offs was brilliant."

Haven't we been up there ALL season. I don't rate the BS in the post match interview.

Sorry, I just don’t buy the “project” stuff.

It’s an excuse for repeated failure.

Not that we are anything like or near obviously but look at arsenal and where they were when arteta took over. Look at the work he did and how long it took. And they are still struggling but have made huge progress in a few years

Shame. Would have been a good experience.

Agreed. He is going for the long game. The results don't seem to matter to him. We may end up in a worse league position than last season but we are building to play better. He needs better players and a striker. If he stays he will get us up the league in seasons to come. This is a project

Dolan had done us more damage than good

    12:06pm

Dolan breaks free of Bradley after the Luton defender is caught on the ball, his shot is across Horvath and narrowly wide of the target

Looks like he is trying to score at least. usually it's dribble dribble lose

This games got Dack written all over it. Low intensity, loads of space in midfield. Get him on...

Definitely. Is he THAT injured he can't play the last game or two? Or be a part of them?!

Can you ever see us score 3 or 4 goals in a game?   I don;t see a goal coming.

Rankin-Costello doing his best to score.. think he will get one at least.

So 2 wins does it, 4 points COULD do it, but the 4 points would have to be a draw on Monday and a win on the final day; the other way around would be no good as it would mean Millwall would be on the same points as us and both theirs and Coventry’s goal difference would be better?

    Loving the optimism!!

Leicester would've been 2-0 up after 10mins but for Pears.

Yes exactly and he hasn't done anything wrong since that match either..the Benson goal does look suspect as well as he has been doing it all season...but he has been scoring them all season too so got to give him credit. Not many keepers have stopped him either

There was an interview with Wharton the other day and part of it mentioned him playing in a deeper role. At one point he laughed about enjoying it because it meant he didn't have to run as much as its not one of the main pressing roles in the team.

Hopefully it means his stamina will be up to it tonight, though personally I'd love to see him a little higher up the pitch as he's by far our most creative player.

Got a link to the interview?

I'd happily involve him in a swap deal for sorba thomas

Love this interview. JDT - I would have put it in the net.

Yes we need a f***ing striker. The message is clear!

Think he has been quite honest about hedges there.
