  1. 100% all the itk accounts or not even super Nixon had this one…..
  2. Have one of the oldest squads in the league by far - would need some serious youngsters to come through
  3. Didn’t dispute that other than the wording ‘vastly superior’
  4. I stand by what I said seasons are 46 games Eustace has had good spells but nothing has ever been finished so it’s all assumption at this stage I stated he would be my preference but vastly superior to me is too far with little to no evidence really
  5. Like most clubs report…that’s the point being made
  6. Good question we would love to know let’s take millwall as the perfect example so no attendance excuse or wage bill excuse can be used 24/25 lower average home attendance than us pretty much the same average wage bill Fleming gone for approx 8 million coburn in for approx 6 million 23/24 home attendance again very similar wages again similar esse sold for 14 million 6 x players in for just over 10 million a direct comparison to us with distinctly differing re investment
  7. Far superior really? Hasn’t achieved much doesn’t stay at clubs long enough to really determine that. who would I rather at present no doubt Eustace but to state he’s far superior is a bit of a stretch
  8. We don’t have skint owners……and he corrected himself by saying little of the money is significantly reinvested into the playing squad
  9. And I think the point that you may be missing is our owners are billionaires and are now choosing not to significantly re-invest in the playing squad. Not that they can’t they just simply aren’t Now I’m not on the side of conspiracy theories and/or the ultimate doom and gloom reaction of everything that goes on but at the same time im not on the side where everything is all rosey in the garden and without them we would be doomed etc there has to be balance venkys running of this club has put them in a position where they are now ‘by choice’ not significantly re-investing in the playing squad their off field issues which is no fault of rovers is also fully on them but it’s rovers it seems that are paying the penalty they do pay the losses they are keeping the lights on but they shouldn’t be praised for doing so as Iv outlined numerous times on this post………billionaires
  10. Bigger picture is being missed here again….the gross mismanagement from the outset has put them in this position. All of their own doing sacking Sam and replacing with Steve kean - criminal and countless other poor choices this is all on them
  11. Well you believed last year signing Ohashi Gueye batth weimann that we were doomed and set for relegation so I suppose anything is possible
  12. Agreed 100% too much emphasis on the business side of things and not enough emphasis on the player and their actual ability
  13. Most players are replaceable particularly at the level we play at however the concern from rovers fans is that the replacement won’t be of the same standard
  14. Whilst I’m not happy at the running of the club etc to say the current squad is equal to coyles is simply just not true do we need replacements absolutely and hopefully some more experienced ones (jury is out on that one given rudys youngsters claim) but if season were to start tomorrow we still have a team/squad there capable of mid table obviously of Travis/tronstad or both go that could change the conversation but to say at present it is like coyles team is simply wrong
  15. I will never get why people can’t just admit when they are wrong baffles me. Not the end of the world everyone entitled to an opinion but when it’s so obvious that it’s wrong just accept it and move on
  16. Again much like the negative comments from fans - all irrelevant until he pulls on a rovers jersey
  17. Mercer for the umpteenth time you know nothing more than the average joe so please stop filling this forum full of nonsense we can all see through it
  18. Agree with a lot of that I just don’t think there’s a 10k cap at present (just a personal opinion) could well be next season I just don’t see it as a blanket decision now brittain is on 10k already if he negotiating new terms it won’t be for the same so again if he signs id say it’s fair to assume no blanket 10k cap if not then obviously there’s something in place either way financially from the outside looking in we are being handcuffed
  19. It’s Brittain signs it will debunk the 10k rumour but there is no doubt penny pinching is in play across the club at the moment
  20. Its pathetic in all honesty they will dress it up saying there’s another year left plenty of time etc but thats not how it should work reading between the lines looks like Brittain will sign but Travis/tronstad likely go on a free next summer or trav goes this window
  21. As of now after his injury I’d say 3/4 million at a maximum prior to his injury 6/7million given his form at the time and his age etc
  22. Your last line is why I have little to no sympathy…they have form for it managers/agents talk he would have or should have known. Unemployed now getting paid
  23. Seen it mentioned on Twitter….could be nonsense could be true likely find out tomorrow
