Newsflash: Alex Ferguson is bitter, obnoxious old git.
-
hoobastank are @#/?
There's a member of this board who's always fond of a good preach about the evils of such statements. He'll be on soon no doubt...hold on a minute.
-
There were 3 minutes on the board, before RFW stuck his orr in. F***ing typical...
And as for Amoruso, the man is liability.
-
Arrrggghhh, I can't believe it.
No wait, I believe it completely; four minutes of stoppage time and the obligatory dodgy equaliser. Same old Rovers, same old scum, same old luck.

Talked to a friend from Arsenal last night who was at the match and he had some interesting comments about the Rovers and where they're going...
He said that Rovers used to be his second favourite team and were probably one of the most exciting sides in the Premiership with Dunn, Duff, Cole, Jansen, and Thompson all able to create and provide a bit of flair and imagination going forward. I'm sure everyone on here would love to see that team line up for Rovers again, but it's all in the past...
Now we're seen as bottom half also-rans scraping for Premiership status. For Dunn read Matteo, for Jansen read Dickov, for Duff read Gresko, etc. You can tell the difference even on these messageboards: a couple of years back we would have been relishing the Arsenal match and had a genuine optimism with a belief that we would be able to get at least a draw at Highbury. Looking back at the posts from the previous week now, the pessimism and lack of belief in the team is all too apparent.
However, with our full-strength lineup back and fit there is a bit of optimism and with midfield/attack comprising of Thompson, Ferguson, Tugay, Pedersen (if he signs), Stead, and Gallagher, I think all is not lost. I just want us to ditch this "battling" lineup that Souness is hell-bent on playing and get back to the flowing football that brought us a bit of success (and respect) in the first place.
So very true.
-
Was just about to post about Cole too.
Nothing against the guy, but I can't help but feel frustrated after what happened to us today and he's banging them in for Fulham already.
He quite simply should not have been sold. Madness.
-
Your not even a real blackburn fan so dont talk utter pants. Living in oslo, you just dont think or have the same feelings as people in this country.
Your joking right?
-
And so it begins again. Hopeless defending, lacklustre attacking and appalling refereeing combine to deny us. This is of course exactly what we need considering our next three fixtures.
We f***ing had it...

Murdoch's empire may be the nearest thing to hell on earth, but God can it cover sport. The highlights were excellent. They should be for an extra £15 per month though.

Maybe it's on another thread but according to Sky Sports News we turned down the chance to take Claudio Lopez on loan for a season. If that's true...dear oh dear.

Linkin Park, the best band in the world

We're bound to have an adequate replacement lined up. Surely?
-
Its interesting that the LET says that Cole would've been starting on the bench next season, behind Dickov. Surely GS knew what would happen if that was the plan. Well at least we can while away endless hours speculating on a replacement - how about keeping that nice Dwight Yorke after all?
...wonder if Milan Baros fancies the short hop to the east?
thought not
That is an incredibly worrying thought. Dickov may be a relatively solid addition to the squad, but he possesses only a fraction of Cole's ability and experience. How Souness can let his own feelings get in the way of fielding a bloody good striker like Cole is beyond me. Incredible...

I was considering buying one of Frusciante's albums. Would you recommend any in particular?
-
If its true, then we must take action, 2 players who havent got them self a new club. Kluivert & Kanu.
If it´s true that we are paying Cole 60.000 a week then we can have kluivert for 50.000 a week. He was rejected by WBA.
I severly doubt that we are paying Cole 60K per week.
Kluivert and Kanu are about as past it as Yorke. Stay clear.

LOL - you're in the real world now ; well as real as it can be for a lawyer
I'm surrounded by the @#/?s. Bloody lawyers.

The cynicism is breath-taking.
It's hardly surprising. Why would such a base, right-wing rag issue a sincere apology when instead it could go off on some paranoid diatribe about one of its rivals?
A "right wing" rag that supported the Labour Party in the last election - some would argue it's not that right wing then ...! Welcome back Matt BTW .
The last election was how many years ago? The Sun is tangibly right-wing nowadays, although that could change of course. Whatever sells eh?
Oh and thankyou for the welcome, this 9-5 lark has been taking it's toll.
-
Typical of The Sun.
Fifteen years late with an apology stretching to ten lines, instantly followed by thirty lines blabbing on about how The Mirror is orchestrating a campaign against Rooney.
The cynicism is breath-taking.

Thank you Phil, I was beginning to tire of this "the ref got it right" nonsense about the laws of the game.
I still genuinely think it was a goal and we were stuffed because Johnny Foreigner didn't want us to win.
Only another 2 years and we can have another crack.
The ridiculous protection afforded to goalkeepers can be seen every week in a league campaign. Why would it be any different at the higher levels of UEFA's pedantry? It wasn't a goal, the keeper was 'fouled'. So what if Terry was only watching the ball? Surely that's not a prerequisite?
One can only imagine the reaction had a similar incident occured in the English six yard box.

Good news this week: Creed are gone and, hopefully, never coming back.
I bought the 'Human Clay' album a couple of years back and was actually very impressed, despite their tiresome (and quite transparent) Christian agenda. 'Higher' in particular was an excellent anthem. Far less noteworthy was their hugely average follow-up (the name of which I can't remember) whose catchy single couldn't disguise the fact that it sounded very much like the predecessor.
On a far brighter note: I'm going to see the White Stripes in Botanic Gardens in August.
-
I then camped out on the main stage, Machine Head were the next band on, followed by slipknot, both really good. Next were the two bands I had come to see, Korn first were superb, playing a good selection from their albums.
SLIPKNOT - NOOOOOOOOOO
I saw those nasty clown people at the Carling festivel a few years back. The lead singer has got a good voice if he would just stop screaming half way through a song.
Check out his solo effort 'Bother' (which was then adopted by his equally lamentable offshoot, Stonesour) on the first Spiderman soundtrack. A very nice tune it is.

Sure, but that was more in reply to the incredulity of those who were complaining about Ferguson's post-match 'comments.'
