  1. I don't understand the obsession people have with getting this guy in the team. We have finally found a balanced midfield with Emerton playing on the left so why change it? Even as a sub he is behind Thommo in the pecking order and is unlikely to get on unless their are injuries.

We would just like to see our most expensive signing this summer at least feature a little.. True we are on a good run and the midfield is settled and we are reaping the rewards of Emerton & Reid showing their true potential. Morten-Gamst was impressive and raved about for Tromso, so if given the chance and taking it (like Reid) think what a player we'd have?

A few minutes here and there surely would suffice?

  2. Great result and I was expecting more from Fulham but they were very very dissapointing. I wonder how different the game would of been if they had Boa Morte available *shudders*

I can understand people being worried about Nissa at left-back but apparantly he was solid there and I wonder if this will be his consistent position from now on? Since McEveley has been dropped.

Anyway, out of the relegation zone, 3 points, a clean sheet and a hardworking, professional performance.

    'Ave it!

  3. Can't believe that's going on....particularly after everything we've had this week... sad.gif

I actually remember several years ago when I was at Fratton Park watching Portsmouth against Crewe (free ticket, nothing else to do)

Crewe's black goalkeeper 'Ince' (can't remember his first name) but he was injured and the fans thought he was wasting time, I was surrounded by fans calling him a "black c*nt" "black bast*rd" etc. and making the monkey noises.... Me and my uncle told a steward nearby who did naff all...

Racism will never be kicked out of people I'm afraid..

  4. Apparantly Souness is looking at Boumsong at Rangers and John O'Shea (who I rate highly and always did since I first saw his earliest games for Man. Utd).

Apparantly Souness made enquiries and kept constant interest in O'Shea when in charge here. Do you think there is any truth in this?

Also, why didn't he ever go for Boumsong at the start of the season for us? I mean he was available on a free.... Hmmm maybe he did who knows... I'm just still sick in the stomach that he thought Dominic Matteo was the key to solving the creaky backline mad.gif

  5. We need to scrap our way out of the bottom 3 and lift confidence any way we can and if that means forsaking flair and fancy football for sheer graft then Reid / Douglas / Thommo are probably better bets than MGP.

Sometimes though quality can be enough. After all football is football and if you have the skill and ability (plus application) you will do well.

I'd choose Morten Gamst over Douglas on the left 1,000,000 times...

  6. Worst ever has to be Dahlin.. he was terrible

    Don't be daft.

He wasn't particularly good by any stretch of the imagination and had a fair podge of a stomach when he played for us but 6 goals in 16 starts isn't that bad.

Anyone remember that poor scandanavian we fielded against Sheff Wednesday in the League Cup Semi Final. He was bloomin awful. Paddy Andersson or something he was called. I bet he never did anything after leaving us. rolleyes.gifrolleyes.gif

    lol laugh.gif

Did he play appauling for us then?

Funny how bad players can actually turn the corner then..

But what we have to think about is how much money has actually been spent on fees and wages for a right load of tosh in the past few years..

    Worrying... unsure.gif
