  1. I'd only be saying similar things to others who posted in this topic but Mark Hughes is the manager of BRFC now and the board have to give him his full backing and if Hughes feels that Tony has no real proper role in the new regime building, then so be it. I know Tony has been a terrifice and loyal servant to the club but nothing lasts forever and we can only thank him for his service and not curse the club for making a decision based on fact.

  2. Chris, are you serious? Andy Cole misses more chances than all of our strikers combined!

Yet seemed to be building up a great understanding with Stead and

    'tutor-student' kind of partnership.

Talking about players after a chance for the first team (Gally) I hear Neil Danns has returned to Ewood to force himself into the first-team, anyone think he can?

  3. Despite the recent determination to earn a draw and the fact we got one of those penalty-things we've heard about at other clubs, the fact is we have to be beating sides like Norwich and Man.City. Once again Paul Dickov seems to be the only forward proving himself and getting goals but we desperately need a victory and to stop going a goal behind and giving ourselves more work to do.

Some may not like Rodney Marsh but he did actually hit upon a few things. We may have been fighting and earning a few draws here and there but we are still a very dissapointing side and we need victories.

  4. ######. ban me. hughes is an idiot.

mgp will show you idiots how this game is played, once he gets the chance.

i hope he goes to newcastle, and i hope he'll make the goals that sends your ###### average club down to where you belong with your 1 div players (reid, flitty, amoruso, gray, neill, dickov, stead, bothroyd ++)

how can you actually reckon that you will survive in the PL with only 4 real PL-players? MGP, fergy, emerton and friedel is the only pl-players.

burn in hell for ruining the greatest talent ive ever seen. i will laugh straight in your faces when morten ###### your club up, fools.

    ######-club fc.

Is it safe to believe you like MGP? rolleyes.gif

  5. Basically I think Souness balanced it out in terms of positives and negatives. Granted it was an utter disaster last season but at least he managed to get the team sorted out (of course a lot of the credit actually going to the players) to get a little end-of-season run together to avoid relegation- although we should never of got into that position in the first place. Souness deserves a lot of praise for inheriting a miserable side back in 1999, then managing to get us promotion and establish us as a Premier League team again. Of course then he deserves equal criticism for clashing with so many players and letting quality like Andy Cole and David Dunn leave solely based upon personal clashes. Also, despite banking £20m+ from the sales of Duff & Dunn we never used the cash to great effect. Players like Lorenzo Amoruso and Dominic Matteo destroyed the tough, gritty defence we had built up in past seasons. But this is all in the past now and we should just focus our thoughts on our current manager and just remember the good times under GS.

  6. Look at McEveley, out in the dark for a long time then gets his chance and takes it. Give Gally a chance, and send Bothy back to Italy!

Going a bit far aren't we? Every player makes mistakes and think if Sir Alex had sold Keane because of 'mistakes'. I think Bothroyd will learn from this- he has to- and I heard he was actually posing Norwich quite a threat (in a footballing sense tongue.gif ) before going a complete idiot.

  7. Blackburn manager Mark Hughes was delighted with the commitment of his side following their 1-1 draw with Norwich.

Despite being down to ten-men following Jay Bothroyd's sending off - Blackburn came from behind to level 1-1.

"Obviously at that point [the sending off] you fear the worst, you cannot do that no matter if you are the victim of a nasty tackle you cannot lash out on a football pitch," said Hughes.

"But to be fair second half the lads were superb and on chances in the second half I thought we shaded it and that was with one less man.

"We had great energy and two or three weeks ago we could not have sustained that, so we have shown how far we have come.

"The determination and commitment meant we deserved it."
