So it seems that Sergio Peter hasn't been given the squad number. Does that mean mean he will be involved more in reserves? I thought he deserves to slowly be introduced into the side. Maybe more in the Cup competitions.

The only reason why he went for that formation against Liecester and not an attacking 4-4-2 is, in my opinion trying to get the team used to the big games coming up during the week. I.e. Arsenal and Man United. It was important to keep the same team so that they build the required understanding. On the note for tonite's game, SUPERB performance from the lads!
