  1. Brett certainly offers a lot going forward as a Right Back although I'm a little concerned about his defensive positional play. However, hopefully that will come quickly and sometimes attack is the best way of defence.

From the games i have seen, his defensive side of the game has been better then his attacking, as he is linking with bentley well but a few times they have both been a little to tricky for rach other and not realised what the pther was doing resulting in the ball going out. But that will come with more time.

Emo for RB! Lucas for LB!

  2. I remember Lucas playing a good run of games as a left back a couple of season ago and aquitting himself rather well. I can't remember for the life of me who was playing on the right at the time (certainly wasn't John Curtis).

he has also played left back for australia on more then one occassion

  3. Bentley had a good game for the most part and I was surprised and disappointed when he was subbed. Nobody has mentioned so far the brilliant backheel pass that gave Benni his goal. And he was certainly quite effective as an AMF especially in the first half.

Umm, didn't it hit the defender and bounce back to benni?

  4. We're carrying on where we left off last season. We are not playing together as a team. I've seen more movement in a fitted carpet.

Everton are the usual Moyes team; all running and playing together and wanting the ball.

Rovers are slow at getting forward, they do not support each other. Often when we have possession we are forced back into our own half. Then the ball goes back to Friedal who has to hoof it upfield, because there is no-one competant to throw it to, and we lose possession again.

The second ball is usually won by the opposition.

Re individuals; Todd and Zurab played well. Emerton had a very good game at right back. Gray was awful, losing possession regularly. Reid was holding midfielder and therefore didn't get forward enough.

Savage is the problem. The man is totally useless as a footballer. He cannot tackle, control the ball, create anything. He would be the first for me to drop, putting Reid in his place and bringing Mokoena in.

Bentley on the right and Pedersen on the left were ineffective.

Roberts was fouled and beaten in the air most of the time by Yobo but Rennie the ref ignored it all.

We'll lose to Chelsea 3-0 and then away at Sheff Utd we'll get kicked off the park and lose 2-1

    Played four.......1 point and bottom 3 :-(

Did you watch the same game?

  5. Good first 60-70 minutes, then it fell apart a bit. Not really a drop from the rovers players, more a pick up from everton. Bloody McFadden and co

Emerton did well, also was impressed by bentley, he did a lot of good things from the right wing but i did see what everyone means by he is a bit of a lightweight when he was pushed off the ball by kilbane when he was streaming forward.
