  1. Puts them on target to sell out by 4.00pm Saturday.

obviously this is only assuming the demand of the last few days is kept at the same high level as we have seem since tuesday- which it will probably not be? from the people i speak to, all the season ticket holders and walk on fans have already purchased- please let there be another 10,ooo rovs still to get down to ewood!

the 13,000 LET report is a little worrying.

Lee is probably in the best position to keep us updated- please give us an acurate upto date figure at the close of play today!

this is one where we will need every single roverite in that ground, to drown out 7000 sreaming trolls.

    thumbs-up.gif

  2. From a purely selfish point of view, as a member of the 500 club this is great news for me, as the club had obviously told us the facility we have paid for in the Darwen End would not be available.

I can fully understand though that you regulars who use the blues bar week in and out, and pi**ed off about the clubs decision.

Stu-The reason for closing the 500 club is simple- we have to walk through the hordes of away fans to access the lounge, bothe before and after the game. Although we do it v man u etc, the feelings on this derby are massively different. Its possible the Dingles could set upon any 3 or 4 rovers fans going to the lounge, and i just think the police will simply not allow it.

would you like to walk through them all?

Agree though that the blues should be used as normal, i wasn't expecting any facility at all.

  3. The 5 i hate the most...

    1: Diouf spit the dog

    2 & 3 : The neville sisters

4: john Barnes- just because i can not watch any football programme which he presents without cringing- who one earth keeps employing him?

    5. Dave Edmundson- taught me P.E many years ago and I though he was was a complete knob- then he confirmed my beliefs by taking the dingle job.

  4. I went down to Ewood today at around 12.30, and was told by the steward that there was around an hour wait.

a lot of people down there were complaining as they only had 2 windows open!

i dont think weve a chance of selling out, purely down to the fact there is a very limited number of days to sell 22,000 tickets. sad.gif

  5. Also, been having a look at the dingles messageboard, and it is awash with their fans stating that due to Burnley charging for the coaches, hundreds of them are coming over in the afternoon and go round the pubs in town.

If this is true, it is a recipe for disaster. Most of them will probably just be mouthing off, but some of them are stupid enough to do it.

  6. managed to get mine this afternoon, only waited 5 mins.

As for the Segregation, the telegraph mentions areas E04 seats 189-202 and W01 seats 1-14being closed-

anyone able to advise what stands/sections these are?

Riverside and Nuttall Street, ends diretcly next to the Darren End.

    Cheers-

cant see any point in doing that though. If the Dingles have got 7k tickets, there is obviously 1000 seats in the Darwen end that will be used for segregation also? Probably the first few rows of the bottom tier.

this seems far too 'over the top'.

Surely the system they had last time would be right- i can't particulary remember any trouble between the Riverside/JW and the Darwen End?

  7. Just to clear up a point a few have been discussing on previous pages-

the first plane read "Come on Burnley- The Circulation."

The Circulation is a WMC/social club that is near trurf morgue, and they obviously must have been behind it.

-I know because i work for a Brewery.

Thought Gally was poor, a real dissapointment and the less said about Emerton the better. He tries hard, but is so frustrating.

As for the Fans, i thought the atmosphere was great, and would agree that with both sets singing their hearts out, maybe we couldnt hear the others as much. I was a little dissapointed with the variety of the Burnley songs though, they only seemed to sing the usual 2 or 3.

as for the under 16's Longside Chav army at the end- i remember my first derby game. biggrin.gif

  8. I can see it now...in 10 years time our home game in 2000 will have seen 5000 Rovers fans in the Longside, the away end sold out .... and burnley locked in for the own safety as Rovers fans ran amock celebrating a famous victory.... laugh.gif

    Yawn wink.gif

Difference is we need a few years before we fabricate the facts in our favour, where as You Clarots like to do it almost instantaneously!

E.g. How burnley fans had 7-8000 at the last match at Ewood, and they away end was absolutely packed.... laugh.gif :

lets put this to bed! we didnt sell out the away end and neither did you. does it really matter that much? biggrin.gif

By the way- LET tonight qoutes 600 tickets still left?

  9. I don't know how this will affect your voting, but we didn't do anything at all for valentine's day. We didn't even send cards to each other.

Gav says every day is valentine's day living with him.

I say valentine's day is hyped up nonsense dreamed up by card manufactorers and rose growers.

just for using that line, (smooth gav!)

    Gav gets the vote. laugh.gif

  10. tricky one this. having not met either of the two candidates, i feel i may be perectly positioned to judge.

Given yesterday was Valentines day- Gav how did you treat Debs? nice suprises, cook a meal etc?

Debs- how did you treat Gav?

i will vote purely based on this! have to say though, as Gav works in and around dingles, i am swaying more to him at the moment as i know exactly how he feels.

  11. Attendance at Hallowed Turf 21,369 of which 2,979 were visitors.

Attendance at deadwood 23,442. We had to get tickets at front of jackwalkers stand and from there the Burnley looked full bar the first few rows left unsold for security reasons.

Now u lot were on the pushing for/on the verge of promotion but still thousands upon thousands of empty seats.

Any answers to that one? (Hopefully a bit more intelligent and not of the usual moronic type)

    mmmm. yep. jesus christ!

anyone yet met a dingle who's memory doesn't automatically add 2-5000 on their away support a week after the they have played anywhere?

as for deadwood- please see link to clarets mad sight here discussing turf morgue....

  12. Oh that fly by will be hard to beat ye olde yorkshire folk!

while we are are on the subject, may be a good time to alert anyone who hasnt realised why i am SD4E....

please see the message on the back of the plane!!

    laugh.giflaugh.giflaugh.gif

" cos 'ill hate burnley b******* till my dying day....."

  13. I also have been enjoying the banter "theoriginallongsider", especially the post by one of your lost on a previous page which stated you brought 7-8000 to Ewood the last league game!

    oh how i laughed. biggrin.gif

If you go back through the pages you will see someone qoute an official figure.

Might shock you a bit- that after general sale!!!!!

(but im sure there were 15000 locked out)

  14. Make sure someone remembers to bring your drum (and the fat **** who bangs it).

    It's great.

    Rovers Rovers Ra Ra Ra.

and can you make sure you have that fat b****** from the safestyle Uk window adverts (you buy one, you get one free) walking around the pitch as normal-

oh, if anyone can sum a club supporters up!

seriously though- i hope the drummer doesnt come!

The atmosphere was superb last time, the longside went very quiet after our first goal.
