As I live in Sunderland I quite often go to the Stadium of Light and I have to say they have one of the most astonishing entrances I've seen. Starts with Prokofievs 'Dance of the knights' from Romeo and Juliet, lasts for quite a long time and you know it's time to find your seat. All of a sudden when the teams are marching in, Republica's 'Ready to go' kicks off and lifts the roof of the stadium. I've been to a couple of Newcastle matches and they can nowhere compete with the mackems when it come to the entrance theme.
My point is, I think it is a good way to do it the way Sunderland do it, with first having a classical and mellow piece building up the atmosphere and then kicking it all off with something noisy and rocky.
