SkySports: This was the report of our 3rd goal.
GOAL! BLACKBURN 3-0 WYCOMBE (Armstrong, 33)
It's turning into a walk in the park for Blackburn. Adam Armstrong has his second of the afternoon.
A swift counter as Graham charges forward to the edge of the box and finds Brereton, who then squares for Armstrong and he can't miss.
Graham?

Haven't noticed this anywhere else in this thread, a significant extract from his Wikipedia page:
He also played in Liverpool's 4–0 win over Burnley, subsequently relegating them to the Championship

Remember when we had a side of international captains? Friedel, Tugay, Mokoena, Savage, Samba, Nelsen, Pedersen, Neill all captained their international sides at some point which is pretty incredible.
Then include the likes of Bellamy, Dickov, Kuqi, Todd, Warnock, Reid, and others that escape me and you've got a team full of real hard bastards all over the pitch!
Happy days....

I'd forgotten it was under Hughes. Really his only very bad signing amongst a lot of superb recruitment.

It's a terrible user name but one I'm stuck with. Deryck Guyler was a comic actor from 60s and 70s sitcoms. I once had a drunken disagreement with someone as to whether or not he was also an accomplished spoon player. Apparently he wasn't. Not the first or last time I was to be proved wrong.
Not the spoons, but the washboard, this is from Pebble Mill (apparently presented by Charlie Nichoas) surreal!

I remember, years ago, reading a report on an England U-21 game in which Dunn and Lampard played together. The report said something like "judging by the performance of Dunn and Lampard the future of England's midfield is safe for years to come". Sadly it didn't work out that way.

As I mentioned a few weeks back, would be great if the fans sang this....
We'd better leave out the line "stop your running around", might give the wrong message.

I wouldn't want to see him go, 50 goals in 127 games isn't just because he's lucky. I thought SA was supposed to be good at getting the best out of players, but then I guess he can only do that if he gives them a game

Benni Happy at Rovers from the LET Mon 7th May.

Aside from his fitness and play I was very encouraged by the fact that, whilst others were off the pace and flagging in the first half, he seemed to take some responsibility for the team perfomance. He tried to motivate the team by example and by encouraging his team-mates. I wouldn't want to speak too soon, but if he continues to improve his fitness/performances and also becomes more of a leader on the pitch his own game will improve and he could become a real assett to the team.
here's hoping.........

Be cool if a Rover was the first player to score at the new Wembly
Wish I'd put a few bob on Bentley for the first English goal - well done to him & Matty scored 2, set-up one. Rovers christen wembley

Perhaps he's been reading the Boycott Bolton thread....?

Anybody get the feeling that a goal is coming for Derbyshire and then when he gets a taste for PL goal he will gain confidence and muture into a solid pacey striker... I can see it happening anyway!
Absolutely give him a bit of time, he's got great pace and awareness but its stupid to expect him to play like a superstar after just a few minutes of Prem football. Even the best ,most experienced, players need time to settle into this league and while he does it wouldn't hurt to be a little more optimistic and supportive than some of the posters on here.
He's just got his goal vs Wigan hopefully the first of many, well done Matty
Happy New Year

Thought Mickey Gray was way off the pace but thats probably down to match fitness and he worked as hard as he could to do something about it. Neill on the other hand really did look like he couldn't be arsed - definately his worst game for ages, whats going-on there? Also it looks like Nonda & Benni are going to have to put some work into their partnership - both good players but as a pair they don't look great right now
On the positive side Zurab would have been my MOM if it hadn't been for Brad's saves and its good to see Jeffers scoring and looking sharp albeit for just a short time.
Lets hope we can combine a decent performance with a good result at Villa and get our prem season back on track.

2-2 horrible game, at least 1 red card (its only being so cheerful that keeps me going)

Fantastic - well played lads :)

David Bentley you are a star

Hmm, Rovers keeping a clean sheet would be good. We won't want to loose and neither will they 0-0.

Wouldn't it be refreshing if we could buy or sell a house without the need of an Estate Agent?
You already can, they are completely unnecessary - you can do the whole thing if you can do your own conveyancing, otherwise you just need a solicitor.
As for the BBC - very poor, threw a lot of mud at fat sam, some of it will probably stick, but otherwise they proved nowt.

Selling that nice Jason Wilcox
Which utterly brilliant manager will we be delighted to welcome next?

He’s been working for years with one of the smallest budgets in the football league, they don’t even have a reserve team. Who knows what his style would be if he had a few quid more to spend.
