Not sure I agree but you might be spot on - that said  his experience could be invaluable. Inevitably we are taking calculated risks. We can’t compete for proven talent in its prime so has to be older, like walker, potentially injury prone (Hartmann and Tuanzabe) or unproven kids with perceived potential (Koleosho when we signed him).

I doubt I’ll have anything to gloat about in 6 months or all season though - even if Walker proves you wrong on every point

Thanks for the heads up 😉.

We cant compete for talent in this toss pot of a league!😂

What a club we had… and could again if they just. fucked. off.

We held the Whip Hand on ALL the Lancashire Town Clubs,no one could touch us,we were in pole position.

Now..we cant compete with fookin Preston and Div1 Bolton on ST sales and Gates.

    FFS!!

At barely 9k ST's they need three thousand walk ups to just hit the hardcore 12k figure before away fans and i can see that being a tricky ask beyond the first game unless the form is good.

12.30 kick offs are the pits.

I think the walk ups will be well down this Season, again, putting the prices up and we cut our own throats.

"SW stated that the club had currently sold almost 18,000 season tickets, compared to a total of 14,000 for last season, which included half season ticket sales. This represented a 30%increase, with sales still expected to continue for a while. This was an excellent response to price reductions.

When our Club was run by responsible people who gave a damn...seems a long time ago now😟

I thought it was common knowledge.

I am sure Duncan will confirm my statement above.  This has been the case for years, we have been told the likes of “there is so much infill in the BwD area that this is our focus before we look elsewhere”.  The Community Trust have arrangements with other community trusts in Lancashire not to tread on each others toes - perhaps this will also explain the lack of activity in Rishton, Ossy and Accy alongside that for Chorley, Leyland and local villages such as Samlesbury, Hoghton, Withnell, Wheelton, Abbey Village, Brindle and Brinscall - all these villages have local schools with footie mad kids.

WATR offered to sponsor an Ewood Express built only on the basis it was from outside of BwD, we were never taken up on the proposal nor asked for payment.  I do believe an Ewood Express has subsequently been run a couple of times from Hyndburn but this was due to friendships between the different parties involved.

They are simply not interested in fan involvement with initiatives...its either our way or the highway is the mantra.

Its just horrible the way we are being run, just horrible.
