The last few weeks had been mental torture, especially after the home defeat to City.

If Coventry had avoided defeat against Utd a few days earlier we could have picked up the title at this game but it wasn`t to be.

I was in the Blackburn End, about 20 rows up, level with Le Saux when he dinked that ball on to Shearer`s head for him to power the ball and anything in his way in to the net.

The rest is a blur of Tim Flowers stealing the show.

Every time Ruel Fox got the ball was a bloody nightmare. He destroyed us. That game and that game alone signifies what it means to be a football fan at the cutting edge.

Regardless of what old Jimbob says, Spurs may have won the battle but not the war.

The majority of their games left are away from home, they still have to play Chelsea, Utd and Arsenal and playing like that won`t get much.

We on the other hand have the majority of our games left at Ewood ( 6 at home, 4 away ). 2 of the away games are Sunderland and Pompey. I don`t care if they are scrapping for points, its better than having visit top a top 6 team and playing like that we should be just fine.

Next tme you watch Rovers, count the times Todd gives away possesion.

Rarely, he passes hard and fast to the forwards, accurately. After that, they should be holding the ball up.

He can strike a dead ball well right enough, but as for the Wigan goal it's a case of one swallow does not make a summer imo.  He really needs to stop trying to hit it too hard.
