  1. Is going to be great final Shepherd Vs Part, I thought the Painter Part semi final would have been closer, it was Painter's worst performance of these championship.

Well done to Shepherd as well, I though Mardle would have made the final after his great win against Taylor, but Shepherd played a great game tonight.

Really looking forward to the final this evening. I think Part will be too strong for Shepherd however I am sure everyone will be cheering him on being the underdog and an englishman.

  2. This is a cracking tournament as far as averages go. Barney and Wade both averaged over 100 yet still lost. Of the others, Jenkins, Taylor, Scholten and McDine have all been averaging over 100 consistently.

Mark my words, if the boy McDine plays as he did last night against Wade and keeps his bottle he will win this tournament. He was absolutely outstanding last night.Watch out for Scholten though, an average of over 107 last time out and he's looking crisp on his doubles. That allied to his usual scoring power makes him very dangerous indeed.

Then there's Taylor's old nemesis Johnny Part, he's a live danger too.

Darts - it's the new rock 'n' roll doncha know.

McDine does look a very good player and it was a great result against Wade, who was having, up to last night, a very good tournement. I cannot however see him winning the Grand Slam....he does look very nervous and the inexperience will show in the later stages of the competiton.

Looking at the current odds....Taylor is odds on favorite at 8/13 with Jenkins second favorite at 6/1.

  3. Is anyone watching 'The Grand Slam of Darts' on ITV.

Currently a cracking game on ITV4 between Priestley and Lewis. The crowd are really getting on Lewis' back and Priestly has brought it back to deciding leg.

I must add what shocking coverage by ITV......the camerman has missed loads of shots as they do not know their way around the board.

  4. Thought I would bring this up to the top. Cant really afford much this weekend as going to York races tomorrow (any tips will be greatfully received).

  5. OK

As promised now the transfer window as shut for the time being - not sure whether he deserves a tribute for it considering his performances of late or if it now typifies him but for the hell of it

As mentioned there was a clue in the original thread and you where getting warm and it is a MADNESS track (ONE STEP BEYOND and B side to 'IT MUST BE LOVE'

Although was popular during the 80's it may be a tune some are not familiar with, but its one of my favourites and one that has had a ablast or two by England Fans in its originality on away trips in the 80's.

So KAYOS Productions presents to you to the tune of 'Ben and Breakfast Man' ........

    'BED N ’BREAKFAST PEDERSEN

    (FREEKICK MAGICIAN)

WELL THERES A MAN WE KNOW

AND HE LIKES HIS CUT N BLOW

    BUT WE DON’T REALLY MIND

IF HE HAS THEM ALL THE TIME

BUT IT HAS TO BE SAID

THAT HE IS KNOWN AS GAMST NOT PED

AND A FIRST WE THOUGHT HIM A GOFER

AS HE SEEMED LIKE A LOAFER

HE’S CHANGED A LOT SINCE THEN

BUT SOME OF HIS WAYS HE JUST CAN’T MEND

    AND WHEN WE PLAY

CORNERS & FREEKICKS ARE HIS SAY

IT’S NOT A WHIM OR FAD

HE HAS PRACTICED SINCE HE WAS A LAD

FOR WHICH HE HAS NO SHAME

HE IS A MASTER AT IS HIS GAME

    HE DOESN’T NEED A HAND

    HE IS THE FREEKICK MAGICIAN

HE IS, HE IS, HE IS S THE FREEKICK MAGICIAN

HE IS, HE IS, HE IS……….. '

    I thank you :lol::unsure:

    Your probably right.

Theres a fans forum meeting next week, and the DRUMMERS are keen to hear any alternative suggestions, and meet with people who can put something forward.

Come on down Blue Phil ;)

Why exactly does there need to be an alternative to the drummers. Other teams manage to get an atmosphere going without a drum.

My suggestion if we need to keeps drums would be to have one drummer and one only. Also for the drummer to be up at the back of the Blackburn end with the singers. This way they would be more in tune and with the majority of the vocal fans.
