Arsenal are cheats. It's just not fair.
Arsenal were always going to draw this evening it was inevitable.

So the Champions League group stages have finished and I was bored therefore I was having a look around to see what information I could get for a perspective away trip should we finish second in the group.
Werder Bremen Germany
To fly direct to Bremen it appears that you need to fly via Amsterdam. To fly out on the 13/02 and return on the 17/02 it current costs £150.
Spartak Moscow Russia
Again I checked flights from Manchester and it appears you need to change at Amsterdam. Through E-Bookers you can get a return flight to Moscow for £214.60.
Bordeaux France
BMI Baby fly direct from Manchester to Bordeaux and costs roughly £60.
Shakhtar Donetsk Ukraine
This is a tricky one as you can fly to Kiev however you are looking of a train journey in the region of 15 hours to travel by train between Kiev to Donetsk. To fly to Donetsk you can change at Munich and will pay about £450. This is based on Flying our 12/02 and returning on the 17/02.
Steaua Bucharest Romania
KLM currently charging £188.10 to fly to Bucharest via Amsterdam.
Benfica Portugal
£140.00 is the cheapest flight I can find from Manchester however British Airways are cheaper from London. To fly from Manchester you need to change at Amsterdam.
CSKA Moscow Russia
As above
AEK Athens Greece
As with the others if lying from Manchester you will need to change at Amsterdam to get to Athens. To fly with KLM they are charging £180.00

As far as i'm concerened Hughes can (Please don't use that word again) off and take his crap summer signings with him we are no better now then what we were under souness.
What a load of crap.
Remember writing this?
Hi i was just wondering what everyones opion of Benni McCarthy was as i think he is a top player and will score a lot of goals this season as every time he shoots he makes the keeper make a save.
So are they crap signings or not?

Liverpool v Arsenal is live on BBC1 at 17.15 on the Saturday. I would assume this means we have to play on the Sunday regardless of whether it is televised.
-
Just got bac from the game, stayed in London.
What an absolute shambles. Cannot really add on anything which has already been said however we look like such a different team than we did last year. There is no pace for a start and everytime the ball broke into the last third of the pitch Nonda and McCarthy looked like they could not be arsed. There was one point where the ball was going out of play and nonda just jogged after it, stopped, saw that Mark Hughes was p1ssed off and then chased after it again. By that time Charlton had a throw in.

Don't know where to put this but...
WHAT THE HELL IS THE POINT IN HAVING THAT GIANT CREST BANNER IN THE DARWEN END???
Get it up the Blackburn End and get it passed around before kick off! This would be perfect at the Nancy game, then Blue cards lifted on the JW side of the BBE and white cards on the Riverside side. Bout time we got a little something special for an important european game!
Probably not the best idea for the Nancy game however a good idea for the guarenteed big attendance games, for example Liverpool on Boxing Day.
I was hoping that the flag would be at Feyenoord.
-
I think SteB has already answered the question.
-
Looking forward to that one. Should be a cracking traditional good old day out if it's not moved from 3 p.m Saturday.
I doubt it will be as Liverpool play Arsenal and that will most likely be on the Sunday therefore Everton should play on the Saturday.
-
Nice informative preview Eddie.
This should be a good game which both teams will be desperate to win. Its a game which we should and will win.
Prediction - 2-1 to Rovers.
See you all in the antigallican (sp?)
-
No accusations from me. Loved both those guys for their commitment and their ability to pop up and score goals at a crucial time . Miss them both .

I went in to buy a shirt in advance of the Feyenoord trip, reversing my decision to wait until next season for a new shirt, only to find that after one wash in line with the instructions, the stripes had come off the sleeves!
Upon taking the shirt back, I was accused of lying by the ignorant hag behind the counter who said this had never happened before. I know this to be wrong as it happens with all shirts since Lonsdale became the official supplier.
Why should I lie about a football shirt?
Who the hell does this woman think she is?
When I got a grudging refund, I looked around for something else to buy instead but could find nothing Rovers-related that was not, quite frankly, tat.
The shop is pretty poor at the moment in terms of quality and service - me and my family won't be going there for our shirts for quite a while I'm afraid.
That women was speaking rubbish. Last year I had exactly the same problem where the Londsdale logo peeled off the front as did the stripes down the sleaves, and in the end I had to buy a new one.
This has happened again this season.
Yan - Near the Aquaduct pub there is a guy that sells scarfs like the one on the link. These will not be as good a quality however they cost a mere £5 and and also show BRFC.
-
Was watching the Championship this morning and could not believe my ears when I heard the commentator say 'and man of the match Shefki Kuqi'.
-
Full of confidence for this one.
Rovers 2
Fulham 0
First time this season I have got one right. Yay.
Cracking result for the boys today and lets hope we can follow this up with a win at Charlton. Impressed with Bentley today however very concerned with Gamst. I think he would look poor in a pub team at the moment. Pleased for Nonda and McCarthy for their goals and hopefully this will continue.
-
Looking forward to it already.
Just checked the UEFA Cup odds and we are 5th favorite at 14/1.
-
Yeah I saw that this afternoon!, looks like someone somewhere gave me duff info. Anyway it'll be about 3.15pm.
Its after the Salisbury City - Nottingham Forrest game.
-
Leeds away would be my first choice followed by an away game at a 3rd division side.
-
Correct me if I am wrong but I think that the shirt sponsor changes every two years and the shirt manufactorer changes every two years as well however the two are not aligned.
-
Home - 3
Away - 1
Like them all though.
-
I feel sorry for decent Feyernoord fans like SCF08
And also the Nancy fans who only got to see 80 minutes of one of the biggest games in their history due to idiotic Feyenoord fans. As their will most likely be a fine they should use this money to re-emburse the Nancy fans for their tickets.

Basle and Krakov are drawing 1-1.

oh dear...on todays quiz:
You scored 1 out of a possible 10
You've just scored an own goal that Djimi Traore would be proud of.
the only answer I got right was which nba club Henry is supporting,..by guessing of course
Oh dear, poor score. I would have a word with the quiz manager.

And are we all still happy that when/if he returns after injury he gets handed the captain's armband for Blackburn Rovers Football Club?
Ironic how a nagging hamstring can sometimes rule someone out!
God no!! If he returns and gets given the armband again I will be tempted to not go to the game. I think it is digusting how Rovers have made him captain. Tell him to eff off and give the armband to someone who deserves it, for example Savage, Tugay, Ooijer.

Me and Mark were talking about this morning whilst we were waiting for our train home from Charlton.
I think should we go down (which I don't think for a minute that we will) we would not be able to get ourselves back in the premierleague as quicky as previous. This would ofcourse have a massive impact on the club with loss of TV money, supporters etc.
The UEFA cup is nice and when you enter the target should be to win the thing however I feel that premiership safty is still the priority.
Knowing rovers we will probably get to the final of the FA Cup and the UEFA Cup, Lose both of them and get relegated!
