  1. Sorry I just cannot share the excitment that other Rovers fans have about this signing.

I really really hope he does well and when he played for Rovers in Division One I throught he was an excellent player but I cannot help thinking this is a sidewards move. I remember having to heathed discussions with Scotty in the summer about David Dunn and my opinion was that we should be looking elsewhere.

I hope he makes me eat my words and ends up playing in the majority of he games till the end of the season and has a cracking 3 1/2 years at Blackburn.

Will he be able to play in the UEFA cup?

  2. Aggy posted this in the Arsenal thread but I wanted to bring my comments in here

Exactly. I'm now down to three games I actually look forward to ~ Liverpool, United and Newcastle (bizare I know). Wonderful isn't it. Three games in a season that make you excited about the idea of going to a football match. THREE! Is it any wonder the game is dead on it's feet? Unless the PL wake up to the simple facts - 15 of the PL clubs are not worth watching - they run the risk of the attendance decline excelerating beyond belief.

I can appreciate Arsenal's quality but abhor the time-wasting we saw on Saturday, which I think is the worst I've noticed at Ewood, and will not give them credit as a team when they are so cynical. It's beginning to look as though something like 4 points will be needed for an away win if there's to be any chance of bringing entertainment back into football.

For me it does not matter who we are playing as I know I will have a decent day. For away games the football is more of an excuse. I enjoy the day whether we are playing Fulham or Manchester United. I get to see my mates have a few beers watch the Rovers and hopefully get the three pints.

  3. I heard the bad news today. I am absolutly gutted for him. Not only is he a great player and adds alot to the team but from speaking to him in the past he is great lad who loves his football.

Hopefully he will make a full recovery and be back to his best early next season, if not sooner.

  4. Why don't the shop print numbers and names on shirts that you didn't buy from them?

My son got a the away kit for chrimbo and I had a massive problem getting Tugay put on the back as we didnt have the receipt. We get all our rovers stuff from the shop.

Also, he got a Turkey top for chrimbo which he'd also like to get Tugay's name on. They wouldn't do this...anyone could see that it was a proper shirt (Nike).....I didn't realise we can afford to turn tenners down.

Am I missing something here in relation to damaging the top etc....????

They say they won't print shirts bought from elsewhere but they did my Aachen shirt when I asked them.

  5. I still stand by my original stance. Give the lad some time and he will come good. He's in good scoring form at the moment and long may it continue. Championship football indeed.

Kind of agree with you now after Nonda's recent performances. I thought he was poor against Wigan but against Boro, Liverpool and Arsenal I thought he looked alot better than his previous performances.

  6. imo Jeffers having predictably been a complete flop,

I don't understand how you can refer to Jeffers as a flop. The lad has hardly played due to injury and when he has played he has looked sharp and likely to score. Jeffers is not going to play every game as we have three strikers who are better than him but we knew that when we signed him.

  7. I think your spot on Bobby. Like I said in another thread, Neil's situation in the team is definitely not benefting the club and I don't think Todd's is either. Think in your job if you were demoted for half a year and then called upon again because every other person was off ill you'd be livid. Get shot of both in January with obviously Neil first.

BTW on a side note I read in one paper yesterday that Brad and Sav had a huge bust up after the game? Anybody see this?

It would not be the first time, they nearly came to blows last season during a home game.

I would not mess with Brad he is a big man.

  8. Not exactly awe inspiring news, an Average Premiership midfielder if that. Was hoping Wigan would offer a nice sum to tempt John Williams to sell in Jan.

    Bring back Donnelly and Danns.

    Are you having a laugh??

Savage is one of the most influential players in our team and he is the kind of player you need.

Granted he is not the most technically gifted player but he would be one of the first name on the team sheet for me each week.

Donnelly/Danns . they are not good enough to hack it in the Championship.

  9. OK, had enough. Only worked on this for an hour so please be gentle. It probably wont work out but what the hell?!

If anyone has anything they want me to include, either post it here, pm me, or email me.

Not done any nice design work or pics but it is coming.

Should have done this ages ago...

    NOT THE ROVERS STORE

Just had a quick look there Wolverine - Good Job.

May I give you a couple of suggestions.

    1) I recently bought a couple of replica shirts from Toffs. It maybe worthwhile asking whether they want a link on there for their site.

    2) Possibly have a word with the lads who sell the scarves and badges outside the ground and maybe arrange to put their e-mail address on there and have some kind of arrangement so for those fans who cannot make it to Ewood can but a scarf online and have it sent to them.

  10. if jeffers isn't on the pitch then he will probably have to, neill and benni have both missed penaltys this season and i don't know if they would fancy another especially in that pressure situation, roberts has taken one and missed but is currently out injured.

    neill is the first choice.

I think Pederson is the first choice penalty taker at the moment.

As for the next captin, it has to be Savage.
