How about Blackburn doing something like Fulham and having a neutral area which can be used for fans who don't particulary support the teams who are playing but fancy watching a live game.
I also had an idea about away support.
Say for the Chelsea away game we are given 2000 tickets which cost the club £50. We would be looking at selling about 1000 of these tickets and Rovers would lose £50.000 in not used tickets. Say they put on free coaches from Ewood, I imagine that we would sell another 500 of these tickets. The coaches to London usually cost about £20ish. Now the club would lose this but would only lose £25.000 from tickets. Therefore having a better away following and not losing as much money.

Great news.
He is the player which we have really missed this season and hopefully having him back will give the lads an extra bit of confidence. He is one of those players which you can really rely on and hopefully that will rub off on the other players.
Its seems like he will be back in about 6 weeks which is great news considering they were saying he maybe out for the whole season.

Someone mentioned this before - If someone has an email address for the club why dont we forward them a link to this page so they can see what the fans think.
They probably will not do anything but there is no harm in trying and atleast they cannot turn around and say 'well we were not aware of any of this'.
I was in the club shop before a game recently and I thought the attitude and the customer service skills of the staff was awful. Even if the club shop was half the size but sold just Rovers material it would be an improvement.
I remember going to the Pre-Season games in Germany. We were playing Hamburg but in a town about 500 miles from there and they brought a lorry full of Hamburg shirts, scarves, pennants, badges etc. I must have spent about €100 which is more that I would dream of spending at the sol called 'club shop'.

Bentley's too Fantastic effort, that footytube-link certainly gave us some much-needed credit !
Benni's a legend btw, his comments are always pure class!
What was with the grabbing of Bentleys man hood during the celebrationg?

After West Hams win against Manchester United today yesterdays result seems even bigger.
-
Did you go to the game? I cannot understand how you can say that on the basis of yesterday. He worked his socks off, ran with the ball well and created space for McCarthy. The trick now is to do it every week but that was much better from him.
I have to agree with you there mate. I have been a bit critical of Nonda recently and was happy when I knew he was not starting but I thought his performance yesterday was very good.
As you mentioned he ran his socks off and created alot of chances. I know that we did change formation and that is probably what won us the game but Nonda had a big part to play.
If he continues to play like that then I am sure goals will come.

Someone asked me after the game, when was the last time Rovers won a League away game after losing at half time. Well I think it may have been THIS game.
-
Confirmation of ticket news.
£20 for season ticket holders seems very fair however I cannot see us selling the full 3039 allocation. I have never seen it before where away tickets are cheaper for Season Ticket holders than non-season ticket holders.

New league started today.
Promotion would get us back up into the third division.
-
Away first, home second.
8th March, then 14th or 15th March
Cheers, better get that booked off work now then.
EDIT - Off work 6th,7th,8th,9th March.
Would love to play Panathanikos should we get through. Seems fairly easy and cheap to get to .
-
Should we get though the Leverkusen game, will we be away or at home for the first leg against Lens/Pananananaankkios

Spurs fans might not get to watch the Feyenoord game
Aww how can they do that to the arguably the second biggest team in England behind Birmingham City.
-
Just checked the fixture list for the weekend after the away leg and there appears to be no Premier League games.
Is this an FA Cup weekend?

You arent looking hard enough Jordan!
Braga 32.96!!
Levekusen 40.98!!
Livorno 51.55!!
I will give you my sources after I have booked them
Mine were based on flights from Manchester. There are cheaper flights from London if you are wanting to travel down there first.
-
Yeah, like thats gonna happen after Feyenoord.
Tell her that if you are allowed to go to the away tie you were take her to the home tie. Sounds fair to me.
-
My choice
1) Livorno 2) Braga 3) Zulte Waregem 4) Lens 5) Hapoel Tel-Aviv 6) Leverkussen 7) Fenebache.
For flight prices I currently have these.
Waregem £110
Tel-Aviv £250
Fenebache £186
Bayer Leverkussen £50/£70 depending where you fly to
Brage £250
Livorno £200
Lens £110

BBC and Sky showing that Lens have finished third.
-
At half time in this evening games the following teams currently occupy third place.
Auxerre (Fra)
Besiktas (Tur)
Slovan Liberec (Cze)
Lens (Fra)
Osasuna winning their match, I would not mind a trip to Spain at all!
this means they are currently second in the group.

I bought a ticket for this game on Monday. It is now Thursday and they still haven't arrived...
Reading 0 Rovers 2
A shockingly bad performance from Rovers but a dodgy penalty after a plongee from Gamst gives Rovers the lead (not sure who'd take it...Neill?) and a second from Peter.
Can I just add that not once have any of my predictions EVER come true...
Savage and Gamst were both practising penalties before the Nancy game therefore I would imagine it would be one of those two.

I go to either Tel Aviv or Eliat (Israel) every year.
Fantastic country, great night life just godamm awful to get to with very few flights from the North of England with most via London, Amsterdam or Frankfurt.
Belguim or Holland would be best from travel and cost point of view.
Is it tel-aviv where Liverpool were meant to play earlier this year however the game had to be moved due to some trouble, or am I thinking of something completly different.
-
I quite fancy Portugal (Braga) myself, never been there before, looks nice, and locals seem friendly too!
Belgium wouldnt be too bad though - I just dont fancy a trip to Tel-Aviv
Istanbul is not the nicest place either to watch football.
There appears to be some more appealing ties in the other groups Spain, France, Portugal etc.
-
Have we ever had a more helpful oposition fan on this board??
Very kind of you Handbag to take the time to assist away fans and their trip to Reading.
-
Stuart Pearce: Foreign players not given enough time, instant success demanded.
Give the lad a year. If he is not any good by the end of the season then that is every reason to ship him out.
In the meantime he deserves his chances at impressing and a bit of support, along with the rest of the players in the squad.
Give him to the end of the year...and what?? By that time we could be looking forward to Championship football. I think he has had enough games and unless he is going to but a bit more effort in I can see him returning to Italy sooner rather than later.

by the way....who the hell are zulte waregem.....they sound portuguese?
Edited - Baz beat me to it!

I was having a look at odds on who will go down.
4/1 on Boro seems a decent bet. They dont look like picking up alot of points. They have some decent players i.e. Yakubu, Viduka and Downing but they do seem to have some crap as well.
