  1. My parents have just swapped to BT Broadband and Mum's computer has had a wireless card added. They have installed that and the little icon is green and saying that the connection is good. But when you open Internet Explorer it is saying that there is no connection and won't find any web pages.

    Any ideas???

It is not the internet as I am logged onto their wireless using this laptop

  2. The drums have never been a problem for me personally, i've always thought they were good for the atmosphere HOWEVER those plastic bloody horns...god no! I had 2 kids behind me with one EACH for a game last season and they sound bloody awful... they are a cheap replacement for the good old fashioned air horn, which in moderation I don't mind!

Mum came with me to the Intertoto cup game with me and politely informed me that if i had ever come home with one of those horns when i was younger she would have wrapped it around my neck!!!

Totally agree, really loud, really annoying and the worse thing i have ever come across with a hang over!!!

  3. i 'm so good. I shall send my bill in the post.

Did you get a card or usb in the end?

A card - it still sticks out of the side of the laptop though!

I took my laptop to PC World and the man told me which one I needed. I managed to install it all by myself!!!

I really hope you cant send me a bill as that would mean you knowing where I live and that would scare me a lot!

  4. I have finally signed up for Broadband and gone with the Sky package at £5 a month. I have set it up no problems but I am now struggling to make it go wireless. Now this might be because my laptop is not wireless enabled but I don't know and no idea how to find out!!!

I followed the instructions in the booklet about going to Control Panel and wireless network setup and did all that ok but now I dont know how to log onto my wirelss connection.

    ANyone got any ideas???

Really need help as flipping rabbit keeps chewing wires!!!

  5. Id have thought that people would be buying in the prime viewing areas while they are so cheap.

£15 or £39 (or whatever it is normally!)

Well that post was quite interesting because I have jsut got off the phone to rovers (Who to be fair to them are still taking phone calls despite stating that they close at half 12 on a non match day saturday!) And I have just had an indepth conversation with the man on the phone (who was lovely) about where me and my mate could sit tomorrow.

He could offer me - seats at the very front of the Blackburn End in the corners (i didnt want them) Only seats in the Jack Walker Lower were right in the corners (which i didnt want either) and then they had some in the very back rows of the upper tier of the Jack Walker. All he could offer me in the Walker Steel was views with posts.

To me this sounds really positive. (ALthough I would have prefered a better view) At a price of £15 we decided to make an unexpected trip up as it is so cheap.

He did say we could have better seat if we sat seperately but i wasnt to keen on that idea!

Looking forward to it now -as i have just booked myself in for sunday dinner at the hotel parents!!!

  6. errr now I might be a bit old fashioned here but shouldn't that be your job Hannah? ;)

When the children are 6? I firmly believe it is something they should be able to do a lot younger than that.

Totally agree if they can not do it , it is in my job description to do it - but how can I do it if the parent can't spell their name?

  7. On another positive note about Rovers I recieved that i thought was junk mail from them last week. When I opened it, it was infact two 'cards' On the cards they had stuck the stickers from the games I have attended and explained how it worked. I had not heard about the card but they have taken the time to send them out to customers and now I can save my stamps for a free ticket! How exciting!!!!

  8. I read the other day that there was a woman in Wales who had the names and DOB of her 4 children tattooed on her arm so that she could remember what they were called.

I think that pretty much sums it up really.

Asked a parent of a child in my class to clarify how to spell her child's name was it Keir or Kier and she said - 'Now you are asking - I don't know if I am honest!'

And I wonder why the children in my class cant write their names.

  9. Not really sure where to post this as it is about today's game but equally so it's about ticketing as well!

Could not decided whether to go or not today as I am skint but had to go up North for my dads 60th Birthday Party! I decided that as i was up and wasnt likely to get to a game until Fulham, I should make the most of it and thought I would try out the cheap seats! I got a ticket for £24 in the Jack Walker Lower - it was a crap seat and i wasnt even in line with the pitch! But anyway it soon became apparent I was surrounded by several Man City fans. When they equalised 3 jumped up and cheered. Obviously the Rovers fans were annoyed and tried to get them chucked out - rather than chuck them out they were moved stand. Then at half time another 10 fans at least must have gone to the stewards and asked to move stands. The stewards let them for safety reason I guess but I was annoyed because they only paid £24 to get into the game and were moved into the Darwen end which I think was £34 - so they made a saving of 10 quid - not exactly sending out the right message! THey wouldnt have moved me into the Blackburn end though would they!

It is very clear as an away fan how to get discounted ticket!

(Sorry if someone has already posted this but it has jst taken me 4 hours to get back down the M6 as all the Man Utd and Arsenal fans were also coming back down the M6    )

  10. The site Hannah found the commentary for was the official Sunderland site (run by our old friends Premium tv). The same feed was also available on the official Rovers site if 'safc' in the url was substituted by 'rovers'.

I can't see it could be deemed to be illegal unless of course someone had hacked into the official sites to create the broadcast?

However, what is puzzling is why the commentary wasn't publicised?

When you say Hannah found the commentary makes it sound like it was me who discovered it!!!!
