  1. Torres every single time. As far as I know he's only made headlines for his footballing ability as well.
  2. They don't even deserve to be put in there. Can't see why BRFC fans pay any attention to clubs like that. I personally don't care about any of the local clubs. Local rivalry dosen't really mean anything to me...though I understand why it means something to others. What about Crystal Palace? Some people still haven't got over the 1989 playoff final.
  3. Does anybody actually expect Rooney to miss out on the world cup? If England don't get through the group stage they can't use Rooney as an exuse. The squad is more than good enough to get through the group stage and Rooney should be OK for the konockout stages. Maybe even good enough to win the world cup if he didn't play.
  4. From the moment I started supporting this club. Man Utd weren't exactly the most popular outfit around here at that time...Alan Shearer noted in his autobiography that BRFC fans say if you do go then anywhere but Man Utd. Still aren't popular though maybe the dislike is less intense now overall. Didn't like Rooney when he played for Everton and after he joined Man Utd that dislike just intensified. Grudingly admit he's a talented player but he's got a short fuse. It's not an obsession. I mentioned them a lot a couple of days ago but overall not that often. Burnley and Birmingham get brought up a lot and nobody seems to have a problem with that. Nobody has a problem with it on the Man City and Liverpool boards eiether
  5. No and my post record probably shows it dosen't. Mentioned them a few times today admittedly but no more than certain people mention Burnley, Birmingham or other clubs many BRFC fans hate. In reference to those clubs I don't care one way or another about eiether. If taking shots at Man Utd is offensive to other BRFC fans for whatever reason I'll stop doing it. Sorry to go off topic.
  6. He's nothing but Man Utd scum. Rooney is no role model he's a foul mouthed thug and he always has been. The only player at Man Utd I consider role model material in recent years is David Beckham. Rooney will show his true colours soon enough.
  7. Imagine Rooney getting sent off at Ewood. Nothing would please me more than to see that. Of course Man Utd players are well known for surrounding referees. Brian Clough and Alex Ferguson are managerial legends which I grudgingly admit in Ferguson's case. One difference is that Clough's teams treated referees with respect...unlike Ferguson who regularly treats them with contempt. After all so many refereeing decisions have gone against them in recent years On the subject of referees nice to see FIFA making it even more difficult for them. The amazing thing about refereesing is that people actually volunteer to do it. I read an article by Jonathan Pearce in whatever tabloid it was a couple of weeks ago. Taking a shot at referees before the tournament even starts will make their lives a lot easier won't it Jonathan? Video replays might make things easier but takes away worthwile talking points. For those who like controversy like me that's a no-go. It might just be easier to have FIFA discipline those players who make the refs lifes a misery.
  8. Hopefully he will play and aggravate the injury so he misses the start of next season. Or maybe Alex will fall out with him and we know what usually happens as a consequence to that. Or England winning the world cup and the thug missing every game would be good.
  9. Man United have sold about 40,000 season tickets to glory hunters in Essex. Man City have seen a good response from fans based in Manchester.
  10. A "Rooney"- Thug A "Keane"-Crippler (referring to the disgraceful lunge on Haaland) A "Cantona"-Compete and utter deranged pyschopath and danger to innocent fans everywhere. Van Horseface- Van Nistelrooy Oh and liar = Sven. Probably not any good but I have to take a shot at Man Utd when the opportunity arrises.
  11. I'm surprised he even sees the town not like he lives there. As long as he likes the club's facilities and prospects that's all what matters. The town means nothing to new players that's not the selling point. Most players probably consider the club too big (like I do and that's why I took offence to the patronising comments quoted in my last post) but there's nothing you can do about location. Other than a Milton Keynes and by no means am I proposing that. BRFC are just a big club in Europe...and in all honesty I think Lucas is more UEFA Cup than champions league.
