Personally I think the search for the head coach role has gone on far too long now. We should have had an appointment by now. I would have said is we should have been searching and interviewing for the new director of football in April and an appointment made sooner than we did. That was the crucial role.

Rothwell was always going for me. Wanted out in January.

I think Lenihan was going when Boro came in.

On Nyambe, who knows if he will stay.

Yes one I suggested to replace Nyambe Who I think will be upgrade

Well I think we will be if we appoint the right head coach.

One thing I do agree on this process has gone on far too long who knows if the Dof & Head coach had come in earlier they might have been able to persuade Lenihan to stay on equally he might have spoken then leave anyway the point I'm making the slowness of the process hasn't helped this situation also Lenihan did say he wanted to see who the new gaffer was but this is all their making & they've dithered & delayed their whole tenure you have to ask yourself why they came into football in the 1st place & why they carry on I just hope by fluke probably they get this right!

I know little about JDT other than he’s seemingly succeeded with the tasks he’s had

A friend from that part of the world told me to be prepared to be bored to death, when asked if he didn’t rate him he said it’s not a slight on his managerial style more his dull personality

Tom so long as he gets the job done & does well I'm not bothered however it's hard to think of anyone more dour than TM

Who knows if Lenihan would have stay but I think his Boro deal has been done for a while

Ronny Deila might want to keep one or 2 of them as they know the playing squad. I would like to see Lowe and Benson gone with Bobby Mimms coming back in.

Pleased Grayson won't be coming here.

Who knows Chaddy if they'd started negotiating with managers 1 or 2 months before the end of the season they might have been able to persuade Rothwell, Lenihan & even Nyambe to sign on their dithering & delay has cost us big time I only hope they get this right because it could be crucial as to whether Nyambe signs on

Rovers having problems with getting Ronny’s current club New York & fighting it out with Standard …

The US club are not happy with him and are refusing to sanction his release …

Standard Also took their DOF and they have refused to sign his release for the next 3 months …that’s their minimum notice order for all their staff……so he’s snookered as well…….

work Permit would also be an issue for Ronny ……. Another delay which Rovers can’t afford ……

Should just ask Balaji to send a couple of his big mates give them a good hiding until they release him & anyway who are Nyc some shite tinpot team from the Mls where most English players go to earn billions then retire not exactly a competitive league!

Dundee have just appointed a new management team.

"It has taken time and patience along the way but we have brought someone in that ticked all of the boxes. It's an exciting time for the club and we are looking forward to working with ..."

See, follow a sensible months long process like Dundee and we too could end up with Gary Bowyer

All works out well in the end (yes, tongue in cheek).

At least with him there they'll be giving it a right good go at going up 😂😂

Last man standing yet we don't like him. So back to square one? I give up on our 'administration'. Actually, I gave up on it some time ago.

As for Nathan Jones, I wouldn't want that t*sser anywhere near our club. Can't stand him.

    Totally agree

Couldn’t agree more - he’s an obnoxious little shit.

He can’t stand still; he’s either got some mental issues or he’s doing half a kilo of Columbia’s finest, pre-game.

I’d be ok with Ainsworth at this point. Different voice to TM, has lots of experience and is the kind of optimistic, positive personality that I think some of the young lads we have need.

The fact he’s a local boy and would get us up for the derbies is a nice bonus.

    Should we do better? Absolutely.

But could we do worse? I think we all know the answer to that one.

I have a theory on this I thought he had ants in his pants & if we think TM was bad this guy's worse every 2 mins in the ear of the fourth official horrible little man. This process has been a fiasco 3 weeks before the end of the season they knew TM was leaving they wait 3 weeks till the end of the season then start their search they say they'll get back to both soon about the job wait a while both manager's go elsewhere disaster then they're scrambling around for manager's now 1 candidate says he’s desperate for the job but one person isn't sure next we're linked with another little man who's awful & they still can't decide if they'd approached Farke/Carvalhal 3 weeks ago we could've secured either early one because of their delay we've missed out on both now someone is desperate to join they don't know you couldn't make this up & proves they've learnt nothing in 12 years

Uncle Jack, William Bancroft, Bill Fox, Alf Thornton and Peter White will be looking down with rightful contempt on the utter sh!t show that has become Blackburn Rovers.

The calibre of our owners, through to senior employees at the club and on to those at the local ‘rag’, has been dumbed down to levels that previously would have not been thought possible.

The bulk of our support should also take a good, long look at themselves in the mirror. The 95% that simply shrugged their shoulders when they could see the impending disaster that was about to unfurl.

    You reap what you sow.

Well said Sir! Totally spot on! 👍

Farke has go to the Bundesliga and Carvalhal gone to UAE for around 6 times the salary he would have got here.

Would Warne really be the worst choice? Good solid manager. Hopefully working with better quality players he could take us to PL within 2 years of his reign

He was 3/1 last night at 11pm. He was around 18/1 a couple of days ago

Chaddy I think the big problem is interviewing Farke & Carvalhal then going for Warne & Ferguson it's so underwhelming!

I think the only remaining names that wouldn't divide the fans are Jokanovic and Bilic. Would take either at this point tbh.

    & Nuno

Genuine question; I know they're not rated by pretty much everyone on here, but I don't see any noises from inside or outside the club within the game saying they're unsuited? What makes everyone think they're so poor?

I don't think it's a case of thinking they're so poor more a case they've never managed in the Championship especially when you have the likes of Nuno, Bilic & Jokanovich still out the with more experience however whoever gets it will have my full support

The only reason I don’t think it will be him at this stage is because he’d ruffle too many feathers. The management team are on easy street and he would be like a bull in a kitchen.

That might not be a bad thing something sure as hell needs shaking up with Venkys not that I would endorse Ferguson as manager I reckon we should go for either Nuno or Bilic

DOF is Already lined up but not made public for some strange reason … He has no say in the new manager …

This means he’s no real man of substance & just a rubber stamp ….. if he’s willing to be part of a setup that’s upside down ……

This whole club is very strange ……

CC was willing to take a finical hit but not work with coaching staff he doesn’t know or trust ….He was Told a few days but he heard nothing so moved on …….

Oh FFS! I was hoping for much better this time round if this is true Unleaded I fear this spells disaster for Rovers it shows they've learnt nothing in 11 years & will continue on this failed path & if true if I was in CC or DF shoes I would tell them to do one & no self-respecting manager would put up with keeping existing staff on most sane people with half an once of common sense would run a million miles & wouldn't go near it I'm hoping for a pleasant surprise but very fearful for the future. Poor Uncle Jack will be spinning in his grave if true! 😔

  12. I know it's been a long time but this situation scares the hell out of me. In one of his final interviews Mowbray stated he had no idea who ultimately makes the final decisions at the club on his BBC Lancs interview. That to me suggests chaos no coherant plan. The season begins in July the new manager will obviously want his own people at the football club. Their are the decisions to be made on Nyambe & Lenihan, & they haven't interviewed anyone they should've started the minute Mowbray said he was leaving. The whole process is a shambles, then you have the next nightmare scenario before when Warnock had agreed to join Rovers contract was signed. What happened some clown/flaming Dingle I can do it cheaper the ceo comes back to find the cheaper option has been hired. The rest is history players were on Cakes & irn bru we never stood a chance. I mean how difficult can it be draw up a short list of 5 interview all 5 then offer the job to no.1 if he says no work your way down the list until someone says yes. My worry is after all the good work TM has done this lot bring someone in. The solid foundations are destroyed & the club goes backwards.  Then rightly so imo people will ask them to sell up & they'd be right, because after 10 years running the football club they've learnt sweet fa. Tbh the shortlist should've been drawn up after the Bournemouth game & they should've started interviewing after the Brum game. Especially as the season starts in July early due to the world cup. Btw IMHO I did think Mowbray had run out of ideas & needed to go. I also believe his family life was affecting him, & even if he was offered a new contract I doubt he'd have signed. I hope he gets another job & wish him all the best wherever he ends up, just a shame it didn't work out at Rovers. I'm  grateful for his hard work & dedication & successful times he brought here & for the stability he brought to BRFC.

  15. Sorry I know it's a bit off topic one place that looks really nice is our very own catering Northcote at rovers.

A very good friend of mine eats quite a lot at the one up near Brockhall and he advises me it is really good nosh well worth the dosh.

I have also eaten at northcote at rovers on many occasions including the rovers disabled supporters parties and for my birthday.

I attended the home game after and got a good deal on watching it from the legends lounge.

I had lunch 3 course & pudding and have to say the food they serve is amazing the Lancs hotpot they do is very tasty.

It is a place I shall be eating at when I finally move up permanently to Blackburn.
