  1. Exactly. 2.5 million would have been a gamble worth taking if he had a good season but 5 million is Premier league money. That's money better spent on more areas of the team
  2. We have lost another season playing a player contributing nothing which could have gone to someone who is maybe proven at this level or higher. Think pukki who was brought In then helped Norwich to promotion
  3. 5 million will never be a bargain even if he has a good season at Rovers. There's no guarantee he will replicate that if we signed him permanently. His career suggests he's a league 1 player. Try before you buy is a good way to go but then we will be back to square one if he doesn't work out and that's another season wasted.
  4. Explain how clubs like Huddersfield Barnsley Luton etc had at least one playoff season? I highly doubt they had mega bucks. Mowbray couldn't even see us over the line when he was actually getting things right
  5. I hear if u say their names enough times a moggadon comes down and swoops in for a 6'4 useless manaquin
  6. Let's start a thread of potential signings or managerial appointments that we all got into hysteria over but never happened. I have two. Ronaldinho. This was at the beginning of venkys era. In the end it was all hot air from them. Also Harry redkapp. He apparently had talks with shebby but went away laughing when he heard the terms he was being offered
  7. Barkley would be a sensational signing but this is venkys so I doubt it will happen
  8. I think we should walk away if Leicester are asking him to sign a new deal just so they can request an extortionate fee at the end of the loan. If the player wants a move why not pay say 1.5 million now and he's ours. If he works out we have a bargain if not we could recoup the money by selling him at some point. I think it's arrogance from Leicester to think they can pull the pants down of little old Blackburn rovers. If the player wants to leave then usually they get their way
  9. Midtable is about the best u can hope for with him
  10. Hes a dinosaur. Wasted 5 years of pishing about. Don't expect any progression. He'll have u midtable bottom half most of his tenure there
  11. If he scores 20 goals then there will be other clubs in for him but Leicester are pulling a fast one. I suppose there's no harm in trying him out but we would have to be an epl club next season to pay that
  12. Yes but say he scores 10 goals is he worth 5 million? No but I can bet he would be the type of desperation signing rovers would make similar to when rovers overpaid for Gallagher and Brereton. Brereton worked out eventually but that was at the expense of strengthening other areas of the team
  13. Still wouldn't pay it. Leicester can see us coming a mile away.
  14. 5 million? Leicester are pulling our pants down. Would be a bigger daylight robbery than Gallagher
  15. U don't mean 5 million for hirst? Not a chance. Not even worth 2.5 million
  16. Richard witschge. Played one game. Thought Blackburn was a shithole. Anyone remember yordi? Played in the league Cup final. Only played a handful of games
  17. I would welcome Barkley with open arms. Sadly there's more chance of hell freezing over than him coming here
  18. I've never understood why rovers haven't been targeted by billionaire shieks. We have a top quality stadium, a great academy. Potential to increase fanbase. A proud history. Did man city have a more glamorous history when their owners took over? Not really. Rovers are a good catch
  19. Not really. I wouldn’t call him an upgrade on chilwell. His stats don't match chilwells
  20. From the games I've seen him play he's strong quick. Holds the ball up well. Expert penalty taker. I don't think Wilson has all those qualities
  21. Alan fettis. He was so bad I remember when rovers fans used to cheer when he saved a shot.
  22. Patrik Anderson. Played 12 times for us but went on to have a stellar career with the likes of bayern Munich and Barcelona Edit already been mentioned
  23. Hes an all round forward. Hes a typical old style English forward. Far better than the likes of Calvert-Lewin or Wilson
  24. It makes no sense. Boja and Gallagher are twice the players (yes no pun intended) that Gordon is. Scattergun approach from Chelsea and desperation
