Listened to Kevin Gallagher on Radio Lancs who said Rovers should sell Sam Gallagher given he is out of contract this summer and we can get fee in which we can sign a replacement who will be here long term for us. Big question is would the fee be reinvested

I hope Rovers are seriously looking at Leeds's centre back Charlie Cresswell who was on loan at Millwall and has Championship experience. Plus we need a striker who will score more goals than Gallagher will and be our best striker and lead the line.

Do you remember the Armstrong sale money?
    No- me neither.

  2. Absolutely shambolic performance from both the keeper and backline…

and that’s before I start on the ownership that have left us with a basket case of a playing squad, and Waggot who keeps telling them they don’t need to spend anything.

This January is the biggest in this club’s recent history.

  3. An excellent result overall, and brilliant resilience from the lads, during those life-shortening 20 minutes. What a goal from Brittain too.

The one negative for me was the goalkeeping error… again. I’ve come to the conclusion again that- whilst Pears and Leo are between the sticks during the match, and thus have to take of the blame- we need a new goalkeeping coach.

The amount of times that both keepers punch the ball, putting us under unnecessary pressure, is unacceptable, when it could quite easily be caught. If it’s caught, the attack’s killed off. If it’s punched, we’re immediately back under pressure. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: we need a new keeping coach.

Moan over- our season’s back on track. Up the blues!

JDT has been done over by the owners. That’s the bottom line. They just don’t understand the dangers of doing nothing.

The problem is, Waggot’s delivered a promotion, so they believe everything the bloke says, all whilst spending next to nothing. No other chef exec. has done  anything under Venky’s, apart from to tell them how incompetent they are.

Only caught the last 20mins but played out as expected pre-game.

The ‘We’re gonna score one more than you’ tactics are shit and JDT needs a rethink before we find ourselves in bother.

I think sorting the keeper out goes a long way to addressing our problems. Pears has cost us 3 out of the 4 goals today.

Goal #4 Oears shiuld have an assist for that.  School boy mistake as a keeper your try to mever punch central to the edge of the area, only saw it once but looked to me like he was in space under no pressure, ciuld have caught that I thought.  He has to sit now.

As a keeper, who played at a reasonable level, I was told to catch whenever I could. I rarely punched- if at all ever- because of how vulnerable you leave yourself. How Pears has got to this level is beyond me. He’s absolutely appalling. I’d go as far as saying he’s the worst keeper I’ve seen at Ewood.

Ben Benson has to take some of the blame though. He’s the set piece lead, and we’re absolutely dire at those too

Over to Chaddy now, who told me I was wrong about Pears, after the Millwall game, last season.

The second goal, Pears shouts for the ball and yet Pickering still heads it as and the third goal Pickering should have closed down earlier but allow him to push into the box.

I don’t think he did. Speaking as someone who played in goal, if you’re coming out, everyone on the pitch knows, and you take everything with you. The fact he’s done it a couple times suggests he doesn’t communicate well enough.

    ???

what did Pears do wrong with any of those goals?

The second? Absolutely appalling keeping. It cost us a goal. The third was debatable too. I think he got beat way too easily.

If we’re aiming for promotion next season, Pears needs to be the first out the door.
