  1. At the moment Oi will be mostly listening to

'Society' dance albums (club in Liverpool)

Elvis Costello compilation I nabbed off the web

    and

    drum roll

    *takes deep breath*

Busted do a fantastic version of Teenage Kicks

(teenage kicks by the undertones is one of my all time favourite records, and I never thought I would admit this but the Busted version is excellent. No sarcasm at all, theyve done a cracking job)

  2. Am I the only one to think it curious that kennysuperbuyer posted constanly after the Leeds defeat over a period of three days and yet has not been seen anywhere near the board since the Fulham win (a period now of five days)? dry.gif

No need to be curious mate, they're part of the "told you so" brigade.

    Make me want to spew.

    Onward and upward to Goodison.

  3. Back to topic.

I'm sticking with Souness. It would be a mistake to oust him now, leaving our dogfight reliant on the 'charismatic' tony parkes.

It takes real strength to stand your ground against the likes of Yorke and Cole when your club's in trouble, and to remain resolute when your key players are crocked. Some of his signings have raised a few eyebrows granted, but the notion that 'king' kenny would save us is a little far fetched - Newcastle anyone ?

The big fella has had a rough run recently, and maybe the more fickle among us should vent some of that anger at the dressing room.

We won't go down, and should look forward to next season in the prem with Tommo, Ferguson, Gally and Stead.

  4. Twas always so , Radaghast  -  I remember the days of Tony Parsons and the odious Julie Burchill .

I can't stand that fat ugly cow.

She once referred to Pele's term of "the beautiful game" as homosexual. I mean for chrissakes, calling the most top football bloke who ever lived a shirt-lifter - cheeky bitch.

One of those fat sweaty mingers with a face like horse's dimpled behind who takes out her frustration on geezers. A femi-nazi in short.

She should talk, spent quite some time as a carpet muncher as I recall.

Any road, back to the topic. For sheer comedy value Scooter's "Stadium Techno Experience"

    "Tie Your Shoes"

"Respect to the man in the Ice Cream Van"

    and .... wait for it....

"Were not the Monkees, but we have the key"

  5. I can't believe 'Scooter' haven't had a mention on here yet.

Lyrics ? Dark side of the moon ?  Sgt Peppers ?

What about "de chase, is bedder dan de catch"

or "Is id a bird, is id a plane, id muz be dave, whose on de train"

"de bird, de sea, de land, de tree,"

"How much is de fish ?"

    ........  marvellous.

  6. Good and Bad really.

    Good

TND - thank god for the likes of you, Tash, Ewood Pork etc for keeping a little friction on this message board. Friction gives a little edge, stimulates a good natter (that is after all why we all come on here). God knows even I can accept the "loose perm, handlebar muzzy and cheerio to those hub caps" jibes, even from all the mill town carrot crunchers up there.

     :)

    Bad

This row however has to stop. Paul's a top bloke and doesn't deserve all this aggro. The board's supposed to be a bit of a laugh not a mud slinging exercise. Your posts are always a good read and sometimes a bluddy good laugh, but this saga is tired and pointless.

    A.S. hopeful ?

Get back to having a viewpoint a little to the right of Genghis Khan, and I'll be a happy burglar in my errr hmmm shell suit.

  7. every heard the phrase

YOU CANNAE TAKE A BEATING  :D

    No, but you can, Culloden.

Look, you were the better team at Ewood and you went through, end of story.

Now please leave our message board and return from that place from whence you came. And while you're there, remember me to your mother.

  8. Floopsy.your 'add' kicking in again? What disallowed goal was this then? There definately wasn't any goals disallowed last night.

Would somebody upstairs please remove this Burnley fan from this normally civilised board.

Absurd, the one who accuses others of talking sh1t, whilst alone so talented already.

  9. AS so cole yorke and jansen arecrap yea? your one of the 'supporters' who lick there lips when wesign big names, not cos they might just do well, but cos you can slag em off, 'not giving there all for rovers' ect... whos the guy whos got the 'form is temporary class is perniment' signature, cos thats very true... who adopted you anyway?? ???

Sod it, I'm due a yellow card.

Listen Cretin, I only give a valid response to those who deserve it, those who regularly contribute to this board with a basic understanding of grammar, and who can construct a basic sentence.

My post wasn't designed to 'slag em off' as you so eloquently put it, but to point out our obvious frailty up front. I have stated previously on this board that I was willing to hope (with everything crossed) that Cole and Yorke would eventually find the spark they had at United. Thus far, and with the number of games in double figures, it hasn't happened. By your rationale I want our players to be rubbish so that we can lose matches ?!

Make the post relevant please, or just visit as a guest. That will give you more time to sleep with your cousin, you hillbilly colostomy bag gargler.

Well, that was certainly a personal insult. Mods - can I have my yellow badge please ?

  10. Would you like some vinegar to go with those chips on your shoulder.

I might be in the minority, but i have never had any problems with the police even when ive been steaming at football matches - however a lot of trouble at football matches can be linked to alcohol - although the nobs that start it dont need encouragement just other people get sucked in.

My thoughts exactly my little flopsicle.

Plod, busy's or whatever, acceptable I suppose. But 'filth' ?

That one is usually from someone who has been arrested previously, for being in posession of an offensive attitude.

You've met the kind haven't you ? Always the little git who has to shout louder than everyone else to get noticed.

  11. Flopse, I don't agree with the sentiment.

    Sorry to be so negative about this, but;

Cole, probably the pick of the bunch.

Yorke, virtually given to us by United, and even 13+ games in still hasn't linked up well with Cole.

Matty, can't wait for him to return, although I'm worried that the fall may have affected him too much.

Grabbi, enough written on that subject already,

Ostenstad, not bad recently, but how many offers have we had ?

Just because the strikers we had before were awful, doesn't make the present crew great.

I just don't know where the goals are going to come from, Duff and Tiny probably.

    :unhappy:

  12. WHAT REALLY ANNOYS ME ABOUT A FEW OF YA IS U WHINGE WHINGE WHINGE WHEN WE HAD NO STRIKERS (LAST SEASON) THEN WHEN WE SIGN TWO OF THE BIGEST AND BEST THIS LEAGUES EVER SEEN U SLAG EM OFF EVERY CHANCE U GET. THE COMMENTS LIKE POWDER PUFF ATACK AND WE HAVE NO FOWARDS R ABSLOUT B*LLOCKS. WEVE GOT THE BEST SELECTION OF STRIKERS IN THE LEAGUE APART FROM ARSENAL. COLE, JANSEN, YORKE ALL IRREPLACABLE IN ANY TEAM(LOOK AT MAN U W/OUT COLE YORKE) JANSENS CLASS-WE ALL KNOW THAT. THEN WE'VE GOT GRABBI,7M ITALIAN WHOS SCORED 3 AND AS A 4TH CHOICE IS PRETTY DAMN GOOD, AND 5T CHOICE EGIL WOULD BE ALOT OF TEMS 2ND MAN. SO THINK BACK2  BENT, BLAKE, DAVIES, WARD (18M WORTH 0F 'TALENT') B4 U SLAG OF 14M WORTH OF JANSEN COLE YORKE.

                                 :withstupid:

  13. The filth have been telling the pubs not to open or they won't be available in the event of trouble.

My uncle wasn't happy at all after his visit from the filth, especially when he asked if they would pay his wages if he couldn't serve and they told him to fook orf.

At the risk of bringing you down to earth, and invoking my immediate ban from this site, ten yellow cards a messenger from every mod- I will not levy a personal insult at you.

However, less of this 'filth' business. I have friends and relatives who work at Northgate and find it offensive.

If your uncle is a publican and your relationship with the licencing authorities consists of language like that, I would venture it is a down market establishment.

  14. I can't help the feeling we missed out at Celtic Park after playing so well. O'Neill will have learnt his lessons from that game and adjust his tactics accordingly.

Celtic to go 2-0 up midway through second half with our powder-puff attack scoring a late consolation goal near the end.

As much as I hope for a win to knock them out, I really believe that O'Neill will have learned a sharp lesson from the 'first half', and will be better prepared for Ewood.

Hartson etc have a lot to prove to their club and will be desperate to impress, and we have no forwards whatsoever.

    Agreement there then.

  15. Listened to a Celtic fan on Talksport earlier this evening on Rob Mcaffrey's show. He admitted they were surprised at how we went at them in the first leg, and how it brought home the quality in the Premier league as oposed to the SPL.

As much as I hope for a win to knock them out, I really believe that O'Neill will have learned a sharp lesson from the 'first half', and will be better prepared for Ewood.

Sorry lads, I think we are going to get thumped unless superthommo goes snapping at their wee ir.. sorry scottish ankles.
