  1. Got the Franz Ferdinand album, and whilst I think Darts of Pleasure, Michael, The first one and the first 90 seconds of Take me out are great the rest disappointed me. Been listening to: Stones- Goats Head Soup The Kinks-Ultimate Collection The Beatles-Abbey Road The Vines-Winning Days (Half Good Half @#/?)
  2. So why crtiticize Steven Reid by saying he is ****. Surely it is the clubs fault, if they are going to 'shunt him out' I don't understand your point, you say it is alright to judge him on what we have seen as he is another one for the future who will get 'shunted out' by the club. Please explain. I'm questioning how firenze came to the conclusion he is **** when he has played so few games.
  3. Please explain how Dunns treatment was disgraceful, please define what you mean by disgraceful. Secondly the money recieved for Dunn went on Emerton, Amorouso and Gresko, we signed all these three before Duff was sold, so in my eyes that is strengthening the squad (in numbers if anything else) from the slae of Dunn. Steven Reid is currently injured, only a fool would judge him on the small amount of games he has played for Rovers.
  4. The title track is superb.
  5. The Coral and assorted Stones albums.
  6. I may be in the minority Rover 6 but you have a point. Souness claimed it was detrimental to have 2 wingers, we now have none and the defensive record isn't any better.
  7. I think it was Tris who relaid that observation. Gav gets to much credit
  8. The above post by 1864 is exactly why good lower league managers don't get the opurtunities they deserve. I'm not saying GS out or particulary praising Sturrock, though you list what Rovers need in a manager, how do you know Sturrrock (or any other successful lower league manager for that matter) hasn't got those things, he must be doing something right, he must be good at something. Everythings relative, IMO success in any division is equally hard and to dismiss them like you do is quite frankly nieve.
  9. Well Strachan has left the game for personnel and medical reasons etc Why would he leave a comfortable job at Southampton for the given reasons, only then to accept another job?
  10. They kissed and made up as soon as Pete got out of prison in November. Went to see them at the Forum in London just before christmas the gig was good, but to top it all of I got backstage and met all the band and strokes producer Gordon Raphael.
  11. Anyone else like the Libertines? What a Waster, Time for Heroes and Don't look back into the sun are three of my favourite singles of recent years. Also looking forward tot the new Coral 'album' Radiohead and Oasis are still high up on the list and the Strokes latest album has grown on me somewhat. The album I am on playing the most though at the moment is Exile on Main Street by the Stones probably one of my favourite of all time, just behind Ok Computer.
  12. Cue two page discusion between Shilto Simon and CR about obscure Pearl Jam bootlegs Currently listening to Exile on Main Street, you just can't beat it.
  13. For me The Kings of Leon album was one of my favourite of 2003, My brother also saw them live and siad they were good. The album is very consistent and in Joe's Head and California Waiting the band show real quality, I would certainly recommended. Don't be put off by those people who claim they are fake (who cares?) and those who dislike the band just because the NME like them.
  14. Every time I here the term American Rock I automatically think of Chad Kroeger and Nickleback (yes I know Canadian). Puts me right off.
  15. Axis is good especially Little Wing and One Rainy Wish. Though Electric Ladyland is his best, 1183, Gypsy Eyes, Burning of the midnight lamp, all along the watchtower......
  16. God, isn't that right. They are shee-ite, and pretentious shee-ite at that. How are they pretentious, exactly? My thoughts entirely.
  17. He also better hope that one of his 'superstars' never commits an alleged 'cowardly malicious horror tackle', or he would look rather stupid. Memory like a Goldfish has Gerard forgeting some of HIS players tackles in past seasons.
  18. Spot on. Although this WC has not attracted the masses who appear when the nation is gripped by the 'we're going to win it' hysteria, every two years. Absolute @#/? , both comments that is. I admitedly don't know much about rugby, and don't follow the domestic game, but does that all of a sudden mean I can't watch and support my country because it might be pecieved as jumping on the bandwagon. It's about supporting your country in a world event, maybe this point has flown over your heads.
  19. I feel you contradict yourself, sack him but only if there is someone else as GS is a great manager, how does that work, surley if he is a great manager we should keep him as we are bound to come good, all teams have there bad patch etc etc. I think any talk of sacking GS is premature at best, it would simply make no sense in football and financial terms: - Surely GS record in previous seasons should allow him the time to turn things around. - Why sack a man when 3 months ago we let spend £15 million. (unless your spurs of course) Be patient and we will come good, how good depends on certain supporters (rediculous) expectations.
  20. Its not actually as bad as you say, this year there have been some really good albums, more good albums in a year than their has been for a while.
  21. New Strokes single is very good, the album will also be good if you believe the first reviews. I also saw Elbow at the academy but left just before the encore due to boredom, good on record but not exactly what I would call a good live act.
  22. Whilst I wouldn't say the Seahorses album was fantastic, I thought it benefited from afew great songs and the rest were mediocre at best, they were still a good band. I think they made a comeback single but seperated due to a disagreement between Squire and the singer.
  23. Whilst out of time is a classic Blur song, the rest of the album disapoints and has fallen foul at the hands of Norman Bloody Cook (who produced afew songs) and misses the inspiration of Graham Coxon.
  24. The Thrills album is good. I have also taken a liking to the Kings Of Leon album. Hail to the thief is still a corker also.
  25. I like the White Stripes saw them in Manchester. Prefer there first 2 albums though, the self titled one and De Stijl.
