  1. very true i guess but i find it very hard to respect and go as far as to like an artist if they are manufactured and not actually talented.... eg. good charlotte, linkin park ect. I can understand your viewpoint and why people don't like manufactured bands. However, Talent has all of a sudden become the word in music, I don't neccesarily agree with this. If you have the look and the songs who cares whether they are talented, whether they have the perfect voice or are technically superb on a guitar. Oasis would be a prime example.
  2. Who cares whether someone is manufactured you either like the song or not.
  3. On another note the Radiohead album is a real grower.
  4. Completley agree Derbyshire Blue. I posted something similar on the Travis thread afew weeks back. The attitude some people have of 'my music is better than yours' really irritates me, especially when these people feel the need to criticise and stereotype any music that they don't like.
  5. Rumour has it that out-takes were on the internet a couple of months ago and not the real thing. Is that so? Initially the music leaked on the net were unfinished versions of songs, thoughg there was a second leak and those were the final versions that made the album. Radiohead have hit the nail on the head with the new album again.
  6. Return to Form, they never dipped in my opinion. It is almost impossible to top 2 of the greatest albums of all time (The Bends and O.K. Computer). I agree. The new album is absolutely superb. Cant wait till November to go and see them live! I am seeing them at the men in november. Love the new album especially Go to sleep, A wolf at the door and a Punchup at a wedding.

  8. Sorry are you talking to me? As for NME, it has to be the most pretentious music guide in the world. The way it champions extremely dodgy groups who are in some way 'underground' is ridiculous. Anything that is anyway mainstream is looked down upon, no matter how good it is. Coldplay Oasis The White Stripes The Strokes Radiohead ...... to name afew These examples deem your latter point false I would have thought.
  9. Yes, very good, however having seen The White Stripes a week earlier, I must say that The White Stripes along with their new album aswell, justify the hype. Other favourites at the moment incude: Pink Floyd- Wish You Were Here Hendrix- Are You Experenced Radiohead- Kid A But my absolute favourite has to be Bob Dylan, who I could listen to all day. Dylans songs are that good that it dosen't matter thats he isn't the best singer, his lyrics and song arrangements deem the voice an optional extra if you will. Subterranean Homesick Blues must be one of the most lyrically fluent songs ever. And Dylan seems to get better as he gets older as his last 2 releases are arguably his best albums to date, though 'Bringing it all back home' will remain a personal favourite. On the topic of music, could I please say that Sargent Peppers his a complete mess but for afew moments of magic (a day in the life), for me Abbey Road is the greatest Beatles release just ahead of Revolver which has grown on me, though I do still feel is a tad overated as songs like Yellow Submarine and Gooday Sunshine have no place on the greatest (allegedly/apparantly) album of all time.
  10. And I was planning my Christmas shopping for Thursday night. Fiddlesticks.
  11. just out of curiosity SMC, how hard was it to get a ticket and how do Celtic go about disatributing tickets?
  12. 2-1 to Rovers Rovers to go 2-0 up with Cole scoring first, but a second half strike from Larsson puts the hoops through.
  13. We took afew fans but the amount that came from the north is debatable. As for some of the sentiments on this thread, it drives me mad that some mindless people think that each Rovers fan who went yesterday is a disgrace. I spent 20 hours yesterday supportin my team, standing at the train station at 05:30 in the pissing rain to get to ewood for the coach spending a shedload of money that I don't really have, now if that isn't commintment I don't know what is. And I will be at Charlton in two weeks time when the game is on the tele, now I am not asking for a medal, but I resent people who call me and others a digrace It was a typical away down south atmosphere, I have a theory that afew glory hunters (who live down south) from the tital winning days turn up just for the London games or Southampton and this is detremental towards the atmosphere, I am not for one minute criticising these people just commenting on a trend I have noticed for some time.
  14. Thought Cole along with Yorke and Friedal werev the only players to come out with some credit yesterday. Cole makes run after run but is not found, but no if he doesn't chase a long hit and hope into the corener people will get on his back. Coles goal is exactly what he's needed abit of luck I now think he will go on from here and start scoring more regulary. As for Dunny he needs to get is act together because at the moment he is going through the motions.
  15. Donelly comes from Blackpool, he went to a school neAr me, he is the year above though my brother played against him afew times, very good player.
  16. I just got annoyed with what I saw as Celtic fans on this board just winding up to cause a argument, ie. the lego land stand comment, if you have a genuine opinion then fair enough but I just can't tolerate that. Like Bryan said it is just a case of big club looking down on small club. As for Rovers fans starting the slagging match, I totally disagree with, I thought the atmosphere and the whole Souness thing was a huge anticlimax, especiall y after Celtic fans like yourself had been building it up so much, Rovers fans are just stating fact here. I have no problem with supporters of other teams on this board, I like to here views from a different perspective, but like I said just not when all people have to say is pathetic snide remarks.
  17. It is ignorant comments like this that really get under my skin. Many Blackburn fans will acknoeledge that we don't have a large fan base, we are a small town for crying out loud and there isn't alot of money in the area. Rovers doi very well to get the attendances we do. So what if Celtic fill their ground week in week out, you are in a massive city and have the whole of Ireland almost to get fans from. Your comment is pathetic and petty. well my car is better than yours so there does it make me a better driver? As for the game last night fair play to Celtic you won having played poorly, thats football, but I think we all know including you who was the better team last night. Now #### ## and gloat to some partick thistle fans about how much better you are you ########
  18. Same old story from Celtic fans of we will play better in the next game, thats what I heard last time. For the record Celtic didn't play badly, we didn't allow them to play. As for Rovers, same old story infront of goal, we must take our chances, the tie could have been over by halftime. I was abit disappointed with the atmosphere, sure it was loud when they scored, but other than that it was pretty quite, also after all I have heard and read about Souness's return, it was abit of a anticlimax, I am sure GS can cope with afew 14 year olds booing whenb he gets of the team bus.
  19. so duff isn't going to make it at all? i think that even without duff we can win this quite comfortably if we put our minds to it and if we perform like we did against newcastle and games like man utd home and away last season. if we are going to win then gary flitcroft will have to do the same type of job that mark hughes did in the worthy final i.e get in amongst their players and upset their rhythem. along with this if dunny and tugay have good games then the game is as good as won. i think it will be 2-1 in glasgow and 2-0 at home with taylor showing outclassing larson. Agree, obviously if we play well we can win, however, from some of the Celtic forums I have visited since the draw, the members were all worried about one player, Duff, because apparantly Celtic have a slow suspect defence, and that Duff in full flow would strike fear into them, surely then with Duff out injured we will be missing something.
  20. For me the outcome of the tie hinges on the first leg, I am stating the obvious you may say. I can see Rovers either leaving themselves a mountain to climb in the second leg or securing a scoring draw up in Glasgow, I can't see anything inbetween happening. Like afew others, I also feel that missing Duff is a huge blow, as I believe Duff is the one player Celtic fear, however we still have several top quality players in our ranks, whom if they hit it off we could win this tie in the first leg, the key to this is a good start to dampen the atmosphere, killing it before it has even got going. Also I believe the referee is a key person in the first leg, a week foreign ref could be disastrous, as he could be influenced by the size and noise from the crowd, thi wont be as much of a poblem at Ewood(though it will still be like a Celtic home game )

A case of the FA making a example off a manager. Without wanting to be cynical I doubt Ferguson or Wenger would get the same treatment.
  22. Season Ticket holders should get priority to a extent, but as always there are acceptions. Waggy you can buy a season ticket and pay over 12 months like I did, so for those people living week to week etc, it makes no difference. A point system or something somilar would be a good idea, provided the club think long and hard over the stipulations before implementing it, maybe listening to fans views etc.
  23. Totally agree, I sympathise deeply with Jordan and others, I have missed very few games over the past few seasons and was worried I would be in the same position as Jordan, the fact that Jordan dosn't have a ticket is a huge injustice.# It is good to hear that the club will be rewarding regular away travellers in th future, but like somone said before it is kind of shutting the gate when the horse has bolted.
  24. My argument all along, sorry mate, I feared it would be me in your position, if I was you I would complain all the way, good luck.
  25. Just a quick story my brother told me that I found funny: He qued up for me, he told me that there was North West tonight camers there filming people, the guy behind my brother, asked if he could hide behind him as he was supposed to be at work and didn't want to be caught on camera.
