If we are on a journey, I would love to know what the plan is when our best player, Harvey Elliott, goes back to his club at the end of the season.

I’d love to know what the plan is for when our best defender, Ryan Nyambe, leaves on a free.

I’d love to know what happens when a PL club takes a gamble on Armstrong. Or Dacks 18 month contract runs out.

We have the best team we are going to have for a long while right now. If we don’t finish top 6 this season it’s a travesty, we are 18 months away from a full rebuild.

    Agreed 100%.

He wont be sacked though - we went 11 games last season without a win.

    Painful.

  2. We need to get promoted this season - no questions about that.

How can we sustain as a club when we are riddled in debt?  Mowbray talks about a journey but what do we do when we either sell our best players to comply with FFP or they ask to leave to join more ambitious clubs? Do you trust the current management set up to be able to find ready made replacements? This no doubt will set us back another 3 years and the cycle will be repeated. We need promotion this season. Anything else and I fear we will be left as a midtable championships club for years to come and with this comes more debt and a weakened team.

If we had decisive owners, Mowbray would of been sent packing last season, alas we don't.

There is no argument about attractive football or percentages.

Premier league football = ££££ ( Doesn't matter how we get there, I would take sh*thousing every team and 1-0 wins to secure a better future for the club.)

Anyone who says different is short sighted and needs realise the severity of the situation.

  4. First half summary. Frustrating. Controlled possesion without doing anything with it. Ayala and Lenihan look solid enough without much to do. Nayambe has been decent. Numerous times Douglas has had the ball and played it down the line to no one also got caught in posession taking to many touches.

No fluidity upfront, look a little inept of ideas. Keep making the wrong decision.

Rothwell and Nayambe our two best players first half.

Gallagher cannot win a header. Dont think he has won one all half. Better with ball being played inbehind him.

Rotherham are nothing special, get the ball into the box at every opportunity.

Need to make better decisions 2nd half and score early. I fear that if we dont Rotherham will get an opportunity from their direct play into the box.

    Could be a sh*tty 1-0 loss.

I think the tap has been turned off all of a sudden. Was only to be expected with the current financial uncertainty, zero revenue etc. Very frustrating. And I think Tony sounds frustrated too. Maybe they’d agreed a Manning deal and then the plug was pulled.

"The manager doesnt know that" says to me that its Waggot/ Venkys bloke dealing with it and the finances of the deal.

Its like something a manager says when he making an appeal to the board for more money. That or hes pissed that the Manning deal has got out and is throwing everyone off the scent.

( Doesnt want QPR coming back asking for more money or Manning/agent.)

I suppose the easiet thing is to say we have no money to buy anyone - clubs dont try and drive up prices.

Sharpe knows about LB being close. Did he get that from here?

The bit in bold is funny.

Every Tom, Dick and Harry knows we need a LB. Im sure TM said recently we were close and waiting to hear from the player. Sound to me that the closest Sharpe has to a source is the night cleaner.
