I knew I'd come back to people slating the GK.

He made 3 excellent saves today - and the 2 goals he's made the initial save from difficult shots and his (tired) defenders have been second to the loose ball. If he was good enough to palm those wide / somehow smother them he'd be playing in the PL.

Book one page one of goalkeeping is surely don't palm the ball into the centre of your six yard box when making a save, so surely the Leo should be disappointed. Although I agree he was very good for the rest of the game.

  2. Whilst the future is quite clearly digital for any ticketed events, I mean I haven't got onto a plane, been to a gig or day out with a physical ticket for some time. You cannot go against your long term selling methods without a PHASED change over period at something like a football club.

I've had a bit of a browse and a few teams seem to either be fully digital now or heading that way. Boro are in the process and from what I can gather from their site it is a very slow process which is doing its best not to leave anybody behind.

Waggott and Co have inexplicably decided to do it mid-season, in full, with from what I can gather no exceptions.

Haven't we recently updated our I.T systems? I've got no clue about I.T but could this be to allow a future of self ticketing?

  3. My issue yesterday was the lack of changes, I've rarely in all my time of watching football seen a group of players react to a final whistle like our players did on Tuesday. They were completely done. I certainly wouldn't have had an issue with Sammie, A. Wharton and Tronstad sitting on the bench for Trav, Garrett and Leonard yesterday, it was a tough enough game before a ball was kicked.

Whitewashing of that debacle in full swing.

Its much easier to go with truth. We didn't turn up, tactics were almost non existent, most players has a mare and we were lucky to only conceded 4,

Oh and wtf is that lightweight crap, Moran, doing in a Rovers shirt. If you want that sort of weak in weak out (deliberate) bring Buckley back.

Buckley is looking like being out injured long term, as of yesterday.

Wasn’t a double substitution prepared just prior to Brittains idiocy? Leonard was one of them - didn’t see who the other was tbh

Yes, Leonard definitely one. Pretty sure the other was Garrett. I'm still fuming about Brittain now. Gives himself a nice rest whilst he team mates are exhausted, which is nice for him.

  6. Brittain hung his team mates out to dry. Absolutely shattered team mates already chasing shadows and does that to them. It was a hard watch, I was surprised to not see any fresh legs starting in a team that was dying come the 90th minute on Tuesday.

2-0 would have been a dream to be honest, 4-0 was right. Having the ball 30 yards from our goal and having no pass available forwards was just awful to view, no wonder Sammie was livid!

  7. Good win, ropey performance, stomach in knots for the last 20 minutes, so how very Rovers.

Tronstad, Leo and Siggy deserve lots of praise.

As much as they seemed to turn it on from their goal, I think it was more of a case we fatigued at a greater rate than any other game this season. Which is completely understandable given the game time most of these players have had.

One observation I had about the subs was the difference between Garrett and Trav, you would never have guessed which was the club captain and which was the lad finding his feet in the Pro game. Garrett was cool and confident on the ball and Trav was like a bull in a China shop with all that he did, he is so cumbersome!

  8. It's ultimately just another game were I come away with 2 opinions. The first and most relevant is those players are literally going above and beyond despite the way that the club is being run. Most clubs would not be able to take 8+ regular first team players unavailable but we are doing it with an already weak squad.

Point 2 is my more critical one were I think ultimately we haven't landed a glove on them. Making allowances for point 1 it's harsh, but it's another team that has come to Ewood and not really had to kill themselves to leave with the 3 points. It hurts losing at home.

  9. Waggott is simply an employee of Venkys Ltd, not BRFC. Any CEO that backed themselves, during this latest (of many) sagas involving the Indian Government should be advising the owners that now was the time to knock this money hemorrhaging venture on the head and slope off and sell.

That would be the turkey voting for Christmas though, wouldn't it!

Tactical masterclass from Kompany tonight, 1-0 down in 3 minutes of injury time and makes 2 slow subs to waste more time

The "expert pundits" never ever seemed to workout he literally had Burnley working on a similar financial disparity as Wrexham were last season. No tactical answers whatsoever this season.

Harry Leonard has started thirteen games this season, scored three goals and has two assists. He is improving before our eyes and most importantly is nineteen years old. I find it difficult to be mildly critical of him and his potential is huge. Anybody writing him off clearly doesn't understand the game.

Agreed, Leonard and to a certain extent Telalovic are exactly where they need/should be. Our lack of cash and forwards shouldn't be heaped on them.
