I live in East Kent and support Rovers. Bizarre.
Mr Colin - long time, no banter!
Mr Bryan,
Hello to you too.
I was going to let you know I've just got the "Butterfly And The Diving Bell" out of the library. You recomended it in a far distant "What's your favourite book" thread from a while ago.
I've just got to finish John Diamond's book on his cancer. Makes me seem a bit of an ambulance-chaser.
Anyway, I'm diverting this thread like Flopsy on diversion mode so, back to the subject.

I live in Manchester & support Rovers, what's so odd about that?
-
If only we could all be so gracious.........
T4E,
I may be just old & mellow enough to know when to sit back and not get upset about a Rovers' result. Probably down to past experience. I've seen worse performances than tonight.
It's not that I don't care, and I certainly don't decry anyone else's reaction.
I didn't mean to sound indifferent about tonight.
If it helps, I did stay to the bitter end and applauded Rovers off the pitch.

Take it on the chin chaps.
We outplayed the in Glasgow, they outplayed us at Blackburn. They scored three goals and we scored none.
Sod it.

So some of your friends and relatives maybe the 'sun hill' clones then.
PS i find scousers offensive so that makes us even.
Oh dear, you're not a happy bunny are you?
You should learn to take it easy.

Plastic Perrier/Evian bottles filled with vodka should do the trick.

I know of full supporters buses going down....without ANY tickets!! It's going to be a busy night!!
Lancashire's finest may be daft for closing all the pubs, but that lot are daft with bells on.

Does the away goals rule kick in after 90 minutes or after extra time?
-
You shouldn't be , Tony. A sizeable proportion of our fans are kids and women who may think that this game could be a little too rowdy !
Tut tut Blue Phil, sexist!
If there is any bother I'll be hiding behind the wife and daughter. Any Celtic supporter who wants to take on that combination has my blessing and I'll send flowers to the hospital

PABBY, I'd say you owe around 16000 Season Ticket holders an apology for that insult. Words fail me....we are amongst the clubs most loyal supporters and those LEAST likely to act in this way. Are you aware any ST holder selling on a Celtic ticket faces losing their ST?
Perhaps a backlash from that Citah game where it was obvious that a lot of STH's had actually sold on their tickets for large amounts of money.
As this is not the last game of the season it hopefully won't happen, but from that particular event someSTH's preferred their wallets to a sense of honour to Rovers.

Not at all,
I like other fans here.
In the words of of John Howarth (a long time, if infrequent poster here)
"Disagree without being disagreeabe"

Tchocky
I agree. There are too many bears with sore paws about here at the moment.
Everyone has said how friendly the Glaswegians were in Glasgow and the Celtic fans who have posted here have been courteous and friendly and do not deserve some of the bile directed at them.

I will also remind you that drinking alcohol in the street within the confines of the town's orbital route is an arrestable offence, so best to drink your Buckfast on the train.
That should sort out all the security worries.
I hear that Frank Sidebottom has been made Head Steward for the away fans

I think I can speak for both Paul McGarry & MancRover when I say that we only met friendly Celtic fans at all times during last night (well apart from the guy in the Horseshoe after the game, he was so @#/? I couldn't tell what he was saying)
As for that Beireut stuff..... Ambleside Athletic FC may play in a rural idyll, but there cannot be many grounds when the surroundings are anything but "rough" to one deree or another.

The 'Walk On' at the beginning was good though....which TV viwers would have missed.
It would have been a lot more impressive if the song wasn't being blasted out over the PA system.
Impressive stadium mind, if a bit short on space down below.
But just wait until you see Ewood. The Riverside will take your breath away. It's this impressive

Well, in that case I don't see how we can complain about only getting 3,000 tickets.
Slightly misleading point.
We are playing Glasgow Celtic not (say) Obilic Belgrade. There is a difference
And the winners are...

T Y Bellamy. I'll try harder.
There's this little old lady driving down the middle lane of the M6 at 70 mph, and she is knitting.
Police car drives up along side and the window gets wound down & the policeman yells at her "Pull over."
"No dear, a pair of socks."
