One thing i will say about Tony Mowbray after watching his interview on Rovers Player is that he comes across as an incredibly genuine, honest, hard working man. I will admit after the first interview he sounds like the second most likeable manager we have ever had (Bowyer of course being number 1). I am hoping to god he is successful as he does look like he knows what he is doing. Unlike Appleton, Kean, Coyle, Berg, and so forth.

A man with a plan. But, I've still grave reservations about the lack of ability in this shambles of a squad.

  2. That brought back memories, as I think he was a member of the team that beat Palace 3-1 in the first leg of the play off final, under the old format. Unless I am mistaken, he missed the penalty that could have made it 4-1 ad we all know what followed at Selhurst Park.

He was brilliant that night, ripped them apart. They couldn't handle him.

His reasonings for declining are obvious and well delivered.

  3. It's on the LT site

Eric is a really likeable guy. Heard him speak at length and publically at the ' Tea Party.'

He's sorted out a real mess, and when he speaks you hear his passion and knowledge.

He's a Rover and this club means more to him than most.

    Enjoyable article, too.

Lets home he's right about the current graduates, because we need them more than ever.

  4. In an ideal world, if successful, Wimbledon deserve huge credit. A club literally stolen, and relocated. Rebuilt from the bottom up. A wonderful achievement.

MK Dons are an insult to the English game, and I wish them nothing but ill. (The views are my own).

  5. Same for me. In fact I have more 'affiliation' with Wimbledon.

As I remember being at junior school in May 1988 - when literally ALL the glory hunters supported Liverpool....needless to say the Monday after the FA Cup final was a better day :tu:

No ties to LFC but, as a pure fball lover, I Remember being gutted Wimbledon won.

Liverpool were great to watch that season.

Beating Forest 5nil on Sports night remains a great childhood memory.

Spellbound. Must've worn the tape out.

No Ill will to Stanley, they're a great old name,

    Rovers come first. :)
