  1. I'm too young to remember him, in person, but his autobiography was one of my favourite reads as a youngster.

    His achievements speak for themselves.

The praise and gratitude of those paying tribute,

show him as a true legend.

  2. Today Bayes and Pearce commented on how Hanley and Duffy are good centrebacks in this league. But how many goals are they going gift the opposition (not just this season) before they realise they can't be. Or they can't play together, if we must persist with either millstone?

I'd say they have improved on last season,

But theyre really not good enough, as a pair / individually.

In all the seasons Hanley has played, I can't remember ever being impressed, or praising his performance. That says a lot.

He's an international footballer, which baffles me.

If he was any good, I'm sure many on here would've pointed it out and defended Him.

    Very few have.

Duffy is big and clumsy in both boxes.

The paradox is; his attacking headers look like clearing headers.

Parson Blue---still confident that GB is the man to keep us in this League?

Not that that is the summit of achievement for me by the way.

Read his; "we may fall behind" quote on another thread.

He's still sticking by his beliefs/ loyalties.

  3. Think we have to remember that we didn't have anywhere near as much fan frustration or anger at what's happened as we do now. RR has always been full of propaganda - I don't think anything has changed on that front, but on and off the pitch, it certainly has. The blind positivity is just magnified for that reason alone.

Furthermore, I remember when that Scottish bloke used to be on. He was very well disliked, so it wasn't all rosy for RR, even back then!

    I quite liked 'Scottish John.'

    Very passionate.

The monotone commentator - who snoozed his way through to the early 2000s- used to do by head in.

He didn't have an enthusiastic bone in his body. He was so devoid and dreadry, I doubted he was a rovers fan - or if he even liked football.

  4. cluck me! just started watching Mr. Robot :tu: , just when you think the already great selection of tv shows around in recent years cant get any better or come up with something new and fresh You get this, Easily the most 'must see' show since breaking bad ended imo

I really like it. It builds and builds.

  5. Where did you get that rubbish from? We paid approx 1.5m for Dann. The 6m deal reported in the press included his wages over the length of the contract. It was reported like that at the request of Birmingham City who didn't want to anger their supporters.

Then I've been mislead. 1.5m is too much for Dann. The Scott Dann is Superman chant shows a lack of awareness and basic football knowledge.

  6. Massive result. One that may put off possible financial ruin for another year, while these clowns are calling the shots.

And while playing a crap team with shocking players and terrible service. Well done son.

Absolutely, Roy. Rhodes has been incredible. And to think some fans moan about 8m pounds being wasted on him. 8m on Rhodes looks a steal when you think we paid 8m on Scott Dann.

Overjoyed with the result. Win at all costs. 5 live said rovers players were celebrating wildly at the final whistle! Embarrassing but sums most of this rabble up. Staying up by the skin of our teeth is no cause for celebration, their lack of fight, spirit and desire has put us where we are.

  7. IMO some are unfairly critising Goodwillie. He is a penalty box poacher and nothing else.

I'm not convinced of his full abilities as he's barely been utilised as a CF.

When he played in his rightful position, albeit briefly, last season he scored goals.

Dont get me wrong- he's not the next Gary Lineker- but he's stood little chance being played out of position.

Left out to dry by Kean, for whatever reason.

  8. Kean had long left fulham before they signed Etuhu. There is no link as far as I am aware

Hold my hands up on that.

Good to see Kean attracting players! :P

Absolutely perfect signing if it comes off. The missing piece of the jigsaw in midfield. He breaks up the play, can put his foot in and very disciplined in his role protecting the back four.

    Very impressed.

High praise. Lets hope Dickson plays to your expectations.
