Any club serious about challenging for the playoffs would have strengthened in January, having lost their best player.

We did have the midfield by the scruff of the neck until Travis went off. Bradley Johnson was useless when he came and looked 10 yards off the pace. The midfield played well enough I thought for the first 70 mins of the game. Howler from Walton, Bennett a liability, and Gallagher nothing short of pathetic was the reason we lost. No impact from the subs either. Blaming the starting midfield is bizarre.

Yeah he has next season to get it right for me. Needs to make some hard decisions over the summer, really not far away. Replacing Walton, Tosin and getting a new Left Back will be the priorities. Play full strength against Barnsley, but I want to see the youngsters in as soon as we are realistically out of the race for playoffs. Guessing that will be after Leeds next Sat.

There is no way on earth that Downing would have been as bad as Bennett was at Left Back. Wigan knew how shite he is and tried to trap him multiple times. Davenport looked tidy when he came on, he could have played in Centre mid and downing at left back, would have faired much better. Is that Buckley ostracized now because he showed a bit too much desire against Derby?

He had plenty of clever touches, linked well with Holtby, had a cracking ball to Nyambe early doors. Rothwell is about the only player we have that can actually carry the ball. Hardly up too match fitness, just wouldn’t get after him too much, we all know there is a player in there. Free kick was bloody close too. Not sure why he is being lumped into the imposter category. After that the imposter club contains: Elliot Bennett- The President Sam Gallagher - Chris Brown was better Bradley Johnson - Pub Player Christian Walton - Absolute Dope

Armstrong and Brereton up top is the partnership that needs to gel. BB on the right and AA on the left cutting in. Graham is well past it, Gallagher is pathetic, and Samuel has never been good enough.

Everyone was doing well enough before any subs, bar Gallagher and Bennett who were horrific. Folk on here pelting Rothwell and Holtby, I thought they were decent, and controlled the middle of the pitch. Bring on the youngsters on Tuesday and let’s see what we’ve got.
