  1. We definitely due these guys a royal pounding. Depends which Rovers we see. Feel really good after the victory over a horrific Hull side. Key is Nyambe doesn’t pick up his normal first half injury, think Hull game was the first time this season I haven’t seen him hurt, to some degree during the first half. Straight 4-4-2 Walton Nyambe Lenihan Tosin Bell Arma Travis Johnson Downing Samuel Brereton Play well you keep the shirt policy. Brereton and Samuel need some time. Some will question Armstrong being Right Wing, he is a confidence player he is flying high right now, and will cause problems where ever he is. This formation can switch to 4-3-3 easily enough.
  2. I thought Graham’s response to being subbed off last night was shocking. Absolutely unacceptable. He was atrocious second half, and I don’t recall him touching the ball, Tony was right to yank him. He is totally done physically, he should be used sparingly the rest of the season. He did look in better spirits at the end of match though.
  3. The game changed when he came on, we looked much more dangerous in their half. He was busy, working hard, closing down the defenders much quicker than Graham, he held the ball up well, he is fast like Gallagher over longer distances which allowed him to pressure the Keeper for Samuels goal. Good effort with a header, snatched a strike into the side netting after a good run. Totally taken out by the keeper, clear pen. Best performance I've seen from him and something to build on. He should be coming off the bench more often in the remaining fixtures. Needs a goal asap.
  4. Bell was fine tonight, not exactly Pirlo with the ball, but was good defensively which is what we need especially when Ryan is scorching the earth on the other side. The difference between Bell now and the start of the season is night and day. Don’t know what folk are looking for in him.
  5. Tony, I don’t ever want to see the 4-2-3-1 formation again. What a difference
  6. That second half could of carried on all night for me. Excellent performance throughout the team. Ben and Don were excellent when they came on, and dropping Arma into midfield was the right thing to do. Brilliant boys! Get in!! What on earth was the formation though? ———--Lenihan- Tosin—— —Nyambe—Johnson—-Bell—- ———-Travis- Downing—-— ————-Armstrong———— ———Samuel Brereton—-
  7. Start copying Sheff Utds Wingback system. ——————Walton————-— ——-Nyambe Tosin Lenihan—— JRC———————————Bell —Davenport-Travis-Downing— ——-Armstrong—Graham—-—
  8. Nyambe is injured again, been struggling since 50min mark. It’s every bloody game
  9. How the fuck does that just go through Tosin like that? Some through ball from Travis
  10. Well at least we managed to get through the first half without a catastrophic injury.
  11. When is Butterworth back? Won’t be long until Vale is in the fray too at this rate. Any manager relying on the health of Holtby needs a check up from the neck up. Quality player but will spend more time on the treatment table than playing, that’s been pretty obvious since he signed, has always looked 70% fit at best. Watch Mowbray will come out and act shocked about the Holtby injury, and sight bad luck with injuries.
  12. That is clearly the plan, head back to mid to lower table obscurity, and sell the crown jewels in the summer. Going nowhere
  13. More of a reflection on us, losing 50/50’s, slow to the ball, etc. Boro look dodgy at the back.
  14. I think Brereton might be more useful on the right wing Gallagher. Certainly deserves a shot, Gallagher is embarrassing out there
  15. Lucky to be 0-0, we have been insipid all over the pitch
  16. I’ll wait to see if Benno starts or not before shelling out the $7 for the game tomorrow.
