I'm cast iron certain Mowbray would sell Nyambe tomorrow for a few million then hand that spot to Bennett that's how odd it looks. I'd happy keep Bennett as squad utility number 1 man but the managers obsession means he's almost his star player so will continue to jump over others to be included.
Wouldn't even keep Bennett as backup to be honest. Must be lads in the U23s who can run around and tub thump on Twitter.

The treatment of Harrison Reed pretty much sums up Mowbray's philosophy. A tidy little terrier of a player. Wasn't trusted to play centre-midfield by Mowbray as apparently he needed to learn the game from the mighty Richie Smallwood. Plays centrally at Fulham and they've secured playoff contention. Laughable.

Have we forgiven him for kissing the Chelsea badge at Ewood? What was that all about?

Think you've been extremely generous with Holtby.

"Elliott Bennett brings some character and personality to our team and takes the game-plan on to the pitch".
Is that why no one has a f****** clue what they're doing?

IIRC, had we won that Wigan game he got injured in we would've gone top 6; had we done, and kept Dack fit, who knows how we might have gone from there?
Like I said, fine margins.
Tonight though was just disappointing, pure and simple, too many players off their game.
And we looked shite in that Wigan game before Dack got injured.

Mowbray has lot the plot. He has the concept of a system but no idea how to implement it. He arbitrarily spent £12m on two strikers that he can barely shoehorn into the team. Not to mention signing an out-and-out winger like Harry Chapman for a team that doesn't want to play with wingers.
I don't see a team hungry for success. They churn out all the right soundbites to the media but when it comes to the crunch most of them don't look assed win, lose or draw. It's far too cushy down Brockhall and that comes from the top. And I'm not necessarily talking about Mowbray.

I still think we can improve from here with TM at the helm as he's had rotten luck with key injuries this season.
We didn't look much better with Dack, tbh.

Mowbray is just collecting his retirement fund. He doesn't give a monkey's if we go up or not.

That's because they aren't sadly. One has the potential to be a battering ram workhorse the other a lge one squad player
Gallagher is basically a poor man's Franco Di Santo... or is that too harsh on Franky?

Rovers are delighted to announce contract extensions for Danny Graham and Dominic Samuel.
Samuel will definitely be kept on.
The argument we should keep him as he's done more than Gallagher and Brereton is risible.

Why can’t we just start a game positively?
Its like we can only perform when we are losing and have to go for it.
Again, just like under Bowyer.
Two unambitious, safety-first managers who have fostered a holiday camp environment.

So, if we don’t get promoted we should just he resigned to employing a tosser that gets us relegated?
I’m not really understanding the argument.
I’d rather have kept Bowyer than get relegated by a dingle.
”Some of you wanted to keep Bowyer, look how THAT turned out!”
?
Exactly.
I think you know exactly what my point is.
We stuck with Bowyer too long. Everyone kept harping on about stability etc. but ultimately it got us nowhere other than League One.
Just like Bowyer, the fans have given Mowbray diplomatic immunity because they’re afraid of the alternative. Even though Mowbray was hired by Venky’s in the first place.

Yes, you're right. Instead we should sack our most stable, successful manage since Big Sam because of course "wE'eL eAsiLy fInD sOmEoNe BeTTeR".
Hm, I seem to remember a parallel roughly 10 years ago, when similar posters were calling for Sam's head. How did that turn out?
Saying he’s the most successful manager since Big Sam is like saying he’s the tallest midget in the room.
I seem to remember a parallel roughly five years ago, when similar posters wanted to stick with a “stable” manager. How did that turn out?

How can anyone still defend Mowbray when he has missed his own minimum target of 70 points. If he was as honourable as he likes to make out he is then he would resign after failing to meet his own minimum target.
15th to 12th is “progress”
“wHo wOuLd rEpLaCe hIm?”
There you go. Saved a few posters the trouble.

To be fair, have we spent much on anything apart than on strikers?

Have we ever spent more than a few hundred thousand on a defender or keeper under this regime?
Our first choice defensive unit this season was: Walton/Nyambe/Cunningham/Lenihan/Toisin. Not a single transfer fee. That goes up to £300k with Bell in for Cunningham.
Quite startling when we splurge £12 million on two very raw forwards.
I think Scott Dann was the only defender they have ever "splashed out" on but even that fee was less than reported.

We can't keep looking up at the top six. This lot will get a nose bleed.

Exactly, that was the managers decision ( another one on the bad decision pile ).
If you mean Mowbray, it was actually Bowyer who decided to let O'Connell leave.

Don't think so. Nelsen had already left by the time Shebby rocked up.

Jason Lowe Mk II. Manager's pet. Son-in-law material. He's certainly not being kept for footballing reasons.
There must be a lad in the U23s who can do the same job for half the wage.
