Back along this would have been quite intriguing and exciting. Right now, it feels like the best we can hope for is the lad comes in, plays a few good cameos and promptly gets sold to pay the electric bill for a few months. The soul has been well and truly ripped out of our club by Venkys.

That was a long day.
Not sure it's worth the pain !!
So frustrating!!
Such an opportunity to just retain our championship status. Can't believe our beloved rovers current state of affairs means we are keen for such low expectations of Championship survival. Such a shame.
Just got home, too, and similar feelings. A few positive things to cling to from today. But not many. Also, the state of our Ewood Park home. Totally neglected. It is a moss-coated shadow of what it should be, and what Jack built for us.

George Hirst firing Ipswich back to the Premier League. Lol.
What I wouldn't give to be in the parallel universe where we had given Hirst time and a contract and sold Gallagher.
Or, you know, just not sold the club to Venkys.

As an aside, I was genuinely surprised to see Gally was strong enough to hold up his baby for the lap of appreciation.

Hard to disagree. One thing is as sure as shit with this lot - if it goes to the final day then we’ll drop. No two ways about it.
Its going to the final day. Driving up, I had this image I couldn't shake of watching next Saturday as Leicester are awarded the championship trophy, whilst Rovers relegation is confirmed. Hopefully paranoia, but it feels believable, right now! Huge 45 ahead...

Good first half from Rovers. Cov definitely there for beating. But passing needs to be much better to stand a chance. With the other scores, one point doesn't really look enough. Nervy.

I'm on my way up from the South West for this one. I'm still not entirely sure why!! Here's to the team pulling out of the hat one of their increasingly rare, but much needed, performances...

However he, like several of our lot, has no right to be too critical bearing in mind how many times he has lost possession, missed tackles and wasted attacking positions, this season. Pears' errors were atrocious, but the lack of quality, focus and fight goes well beyond the goalkeeper in this team.

I'm still feeling really proud today of that Rovers performance. Showed how we can be dogged and not intimidated, despite a relative lack of skill across many match ups. It was a brilliant effort, goal, and result. A complete reversal of the shit show at Ashton Gate and, despite some of the other results, I now feel quite confident we will be OK. I'll enjoy this feeling for a week, at least...!

Unlike Plymouth last night, we are inviting attack after attack but without any real threat at all on the break. We are a way off Argyle, Millwall etc tactically (and in terms of fight) and that's seriously concerning
-
The selection of Carter after a spell out is looking really unwise here
-
All our central defenders are dodgy as fuck.

Disgraceful performance. Not just Hyam but he was adolutely shameful

Did you manage to get tickets mate?
Hi, I did - thank you. Taking my 14-year-old Chelsea fan son with me for a "treat" 😆

Unexpectedly I can now get to tomorrow's game but tickets are off sale. Any advice on options for getting tickets for me and my son? Shame to miss it.

That's the worst case scenario. The best case scenario is they sell the club. I'd take administration before the scenario above.
Yes, I totally agree. Wrong choice of words. I was trying to think from the perspective of owners and a strategy. Quite the mistake, itself!

So a regular court hearing that appears to have been vital for the flow of funds to pay wages and bills has been postponed twice, now, ending up scheduled for around seven months after it was due.
I'm struggling to see how this is not a terminal blow for our clubs ability to stay afloat. What am I missing?
I guess the best case scenario is they find a way to reroute sufficient cash to get through until the summer then sell Smod and Carter to keep the life support electricity running a bit longer?

We fucked this up well before the red card, but that sealed it.

But the theory is that it is three defenders and two attacking half-backs. If they play that way we will just have to wait and see.
It's a sound theory with decent players. Pickering and Brittain are nowhere near competent attacking players. Even if they were, the central midfield being a two, is exposed.

Better than expected line up with Brittain fit and Hedges on the bench. Siggy playing too offers us more of a goal threat.
Back 5 is sensible given who we have in goal. We have to stop any attacks at source as any efforts on our goal will probably go in.
We will win today.
I know what you mean. But a lightweight two man central midfield hasn't stopped attacks at source in previous games and it is unlikely to today. In my opinion, we have to start winning the midfield to get more control over games and assert ourselves on games, particularly at home. Lets hope Argyle are sufficiently crap that we get something here. We need 3 points from this one, whatever the manager's spin.

And here we are another five man defence at home against the mighty Plymouth argyle

IF (and it’s a big IF) we win on Saturday, it won’t look as bleak.
There would be grounds for hope and the table should look better.
Fail to win and I just don’t see where one is coming from.
It will only look less bleak until the run of fixtures coming up after it. For that reason, as you suggest, it is a must-win against Plymouth. Not a game for a 5-man defence at home....
-
That was utterly appalling. Millwall will be happy with that. Rovers are in the shit and it's only got much worse since the new manager came in. 2 shots on target, I think, against a shit team at Ewood. We are in a heap of trouble and I don't fancy this bunch of weaklings getting us out of it.

Was that Hyam telling the fans to calm down when yet again he took it backwards? This are bunch of twats we've got here.
