  1. mr.williams,... what the @#/? has happened sir? be a chap and sign that henry fella.
  2. hopefully get jan2 and rover6 and their merry men to p*ss off.
  3. it must be said, souness is under a bit of pressure now. i 100% am behind him, but it doesn't hide the fact that a quarter of the season has passed, and we are in the relegation zone. lose to leicester and he really will be under a bit of pressure... hopefully though, it wont come to this.
  4. i thought ferguson was good on wednesday, i just expected him to put a few more crunching tackles in than he does... maybe he is a different type of player to what i thought though.
  5. it wouldn't be worth the second yellow card.
  6. it's a much more polite and un-hostile name to which you hold in my mind.
  7. do you enjoy the attention of being controversial or do you really believe the garbage you come out with?
  8. Couldn't agree more Rosie, apparently it's all to do with irony. More than anyone else they remind me of Love Fist (fictional British 80's metal outfit in GTA Vice City). Just bought the new Four Tet album (deeply odd, but in a good way) and "Something Wicked This Way Comes" by The Herbaliser, which is the business. Ok, the Darkness sound like a dodgy 70's metal band. Its a lot different from all those who want to sound like bad 60's bands like the Strokes, White Stripes, Kings of Leon and their countless clones that keep jumping on the bandwagon. i hate do agree with steB but he's spot on.
  9. the who live at royal albert hall 2001 for kids cancer research.... great live cd with special guests including sir eddie vedder, paul weller, noel 'the ####' gallacher and bryan 'i wasn't invited why am i here' adams.
  10. Did they mime like when I saw them earlier in the year ?? p.s Metallica Indoor tour this december - first confirmed date Earls Court 20th Dec... can ya keep us updated on the metallica tour dates please SteB.
  11. is that costing you more than roman abramovich's shopping list?
  12. Yes it does. What do you think of it? IMO Footsteps sends shivers down the spine and is simply magnificent! As is Indifference, Off He Goes, All Those Yesterdays, Given to Fly, Nothingman, Betterman, Faithful etc etc.... it's a strange cd.... nothing like anything else i've listened too... i've heard every song on it hundreds and thousends of times before, yet when you hear them its as if its the first time you've ever heard it.... wierd, but i love it!
  13. I'd suggest "Rust Never Sleeps" before you dismiss Neil Young. i'm not dismissing him... i just think weld is possibly his best album.. top artist, just some albums are too short for purchase imo... so the 2 disks of weld offers the best value or money perhaps.
  14. purchased three new albums all top notch... neil young : weld (only NY album i have and need, absolute quality) stone gossard : bayleaf (got cheap second hand off amazon, very good alternate listening, not just ed ved in PJ ya know!) pearl jam : mansfield number three (pearl jam, nearly 50 tracks, live..nothing else needs saying)
  15. i think inxs were a good band, they along with the who and zeppelin have been enjoying there annual visit to my cd player, and imo there music is just as enjoyable.
  16. powderfinger?? are they named after a neil young song?
  17. sorry to always blow the same trumpet but i recently purchased the pearl jam 'single video theory' dvd (i know not a cd but this is the only relevant thread) and like everything else associated with the band... quality.. is more of a documentary looking into the making of 'yield' (some say pj's best album along with ten) and is a very interesting watch.... also to add to this the 'touring band 2000' dvd which i purchased a while back,.. but thought i'd mention.. as is even better in all honesty, 30 odd live songs from various u.s. shows.. pj.. i love you
  18. its on order... do not but fret simon. i just wanna know why they cut off 'arc' i bet that would sound intersting live.
  19. it has to be american at he moment... in my opinion ever since bands like the who and the stones, an even u2, the states have overtaken and left behind britain. all the decades best performers.. pearl jam, nirvana, chili peppers, rem, metallica, soundgarden, audioslave, neil young(still), are all american bands... i cant think of too many good british bands, u2 obviously, but they are head and shoulders above the other brits... and technacly, their not even british!
  20. and also i tend to judge bands on liv performances, and ive hard SOAD live and in my opinion they were truely 'gash.' the lead singer has a woeful voice.
  21. fair enough but personally though i appreciate SOAD are a biggish band now, i feel it is mainly due originality rather than talent or general tendency to make good records. thats just my opinion though.
  22. I disagree. Zack voice was so much more original and grungy than Chris. Also Zack was a lyric genius and knew how to rock...hard. Some of you have real bad taste: What to listen to: Mudvayne System Of A Down Metallica Glassjaw Alkaline Trio [spunge] The Libertines Less Than Jake none of this 'fiddy cent' crap Mudvayne System Of A Down Glassjaw Alkaline Trio [spunge] The Libertines Less Than Jake great selection of well respected great performers there. bad taste?
  23. thats what i thought... do you get the acoustic set as part of the bootleg?
  24. has anyone got the new blur album, and if so is it any good?? an album ive heard VERY little about, but i think blur are a good band. if the new albums out btw.
