But Australia's VAR penalty against Denmark was the result of a very similar handball incident.

Surely they are both penalties or they both aren't?

Change the rules to take away the intension debate, if it hits your arm it's handball.

I suppose it depends on what you term as 'trouble'

I've not seen any (apart from reacting to aggression from away fans).

Keep the away fans in the ground.

Put them upstairs to negate the support

It's ridiculous that the club wants to give away the advantage of playing at home

If you want to negate the away support give them the whole end and spread them out. In general groups of people do not give as much vocal support when spread out.

I’m sure everyone knows between the JW and DE stands there are large steel gates. I enter and exit through these gates for every game.

We walk straight out of these gates, through the exiting away support, through the gated fencing towards exiting Rovers fans and in to car park B.

I have once, in all the seasons we’ve done this, seen a few Rovers kids taunting away support and once, possibly twice, this season had to walk through a police line.

If trouble at the back of the DE refers to outside the ground I’ve yet to see any.

    Oldham, Wigan, Shrewsbury, Southend, Doncaster.

I think the Bolton comparison is quite valid.

If we don't make 5 or 6 quality signings, IMV, we will be in exactly the same position as Bolton were this season.

Got dragged along to see Bolton a couple of times this season with friends and they knew from last season they were going to struggle.

Stating the obvious, there is a huge gulf between League 1 and the Championship and we need to face up to it that most of our current first choices will, IMV, struggle next season as they did at times this season.  Mulgrew and Dack and to a lesser degree Raya and Graham pulled us through this season - add Lenihan to the mix, and maybe Bennett, and after that I think there's precious little left in our squad.

But you are comparing them to the teams at the top of the division. As a starting point we have to be better than three teams at the bottom of the division. I would suggest Bolton, Wigan and whoever wins the play offs as a start.

LOL. Lenny only played about ten games. Nyambe played all season and has been excellent. If you don't think he offers anything going forward you don't go to matches. I thought the same at the beginning of the season but he has come on leaps and bounds this season. This from the LT today in the players ratings:-

    Ryan Nyambe 8 (MOM)

Back in the side after injury and can be pleased with his display. Got forward regularly and his athleticism is a real positive. Made one brilliant block from Obika shortly before Oxford leveller.

Richey Sharpe is an excellent reporter and a good judge in my opinion. He knows the game.

I agree the block was brilliant but then he took an age to get up off the floor and close down the next attack. From that cross they scored.

Mowbray is magic, he wears a magic hat,

And when he saw promotion he said “I’m having that”

We used to cheer on Shearer with Hendry at the back

But now we cheer on Mulgrew and super Bradley Dack

The first line fits slightly better with- Tony Mowbray's magic, he wears a magic hat,

Though he did have money, he spent well over a million quid on Dack, Samuel etc.!

That's the problem when you nick a song from Sheff Wed! :D

From Middlesbrough's point of view (or at least the one they ought to have) one of their assets has been treated with clear neglect. To an extent by refusing to utilise him more but its even worse when there's incompetence from Mowbray Magoo and the medics. Considering the obvious connection in management they should be feeling extremely let down by the neglect from someone they know so well.

The very same happened with him at Sheff Utd last season. Perhaps all the blame does not lie with us.

  9. In my opinion, we do not play passes to Samuels strengths, which for me is a quick turn and a bit of pace. Yesterday when he came on we where playing the ball to him exactly the same as we had been playing it to Graham. The main problem with that is that he hasn't got Grahams close control or aerial ability. The balls should have been played ten yards further forward to make the defenders turn and give Samuel a chance

TM has commented about Adam bringing same as Harry. I'm afraid he's gonna play Adam out wide and thus minimizing the contribution he could have for this club.

If I'm not wrong Bolton, where he failed, did just that. Coventry, where he shined, didn't.

Also my magpie friend said he just can't play out wide.

Interesting to see how TM is going to use the lad.

Correctly used I truly believe we he can be a big factor on our survey towards promotion.

So what you are saying is that when TM last managed him, he shone. So TM knows how to play him.

Bonus points for anyone who can turn "Back in Black" into a Bradley Dack song.

It must be simple to convert the Mungo Jerry song " A long legged woman dressed in black", and its a simple catchy tune. Maybe -

He knows how to make the blues attack,

Bradley Dack, Bradley Dack, Bradley Dack, Dack, Dack.

I didn't say " worst signing " I said  " wrong signing for this league " . He's not mobile enough and he plays too deep.

Graham came on for an ineffectual Antonsson after about 55 minutes. To be honest I didn't notice a difference. Having said that the service the strikers got was really poor today. Nobody played well all over the pitch.

I thought Raya played well, although his distribution can be poor.

I'm only interested in Rovers Tom not somebody elses player in our shirt especially in the third division.

You'll find you're in the minority with the majority vacating their seats.

As far as I am concerned, whilst they wear the blue and white, they are our players!
