He said that on Radio Rovers after the Wigan game.
He also said, for the benefit of the Sam haters, that now we didn't need to go into the Wham game needing to win. We could sit back, stifle them, then try to nick one on the break.
No he didn't Mr. Campbell. he said the pressure isn't on us to win. That could mean either what you say, or he could be playing games with Zola or (most likely) he was saying that we'll do our best but a loss is not a disaster (ie: no pressure).

I do think that quality is more important than the position of the player at the moment. I'd much rather us bring in a quality winger (Ibricic?) than getting a Beattie-type striker just for the sake of numbers.
A quality winger could do DiSanto wonders. He'd get mostly headed goals I imagine. Another dimension added to the attack if we pull that off.

Brilliant!! Robbie Savage is a complete legend!
He could be football's (closest) answer to Sid Waddell! A loveable rogue. I know a few villa fans at uni, who have forgiven him for being a brummie now that he ain't playing anymore and they love him!

Sorry mellison24 I cant see where it looks like Assassins Creed from those trailers?
Free-roam. Horse for transport (just hope 'in between areas' aren't too long for travelling). Knives. Otherwise, looks a western GTA. Look forward to playing it, but do I need to have played the prequel to understand it? Or will it be a game in it's own right, do you think? Like each of the GTAs?
-
Looks to me like GTA has merged with Assassin's Creed. Still looks brilliant though (and looks more like a GTA game than Assassin's Creed, probably due to Rockstar.)

Now if this isn't the best newspaper headline ever, I don't know what is:
http://www.peterboroughtoday.co.uk/news/mps-call-for-jobs-blow.5919884.jp
I'm told that those 2 words aren't allowed next to each other (either way round) in journalism. One of their main rules apparently. Lovely cock-up

Will Red Dead Redemption be a sequel where you have to have played Red Dead Revolver? Or will it be a new game on it's own, like each of the GTA games? I quite fancy it! I love the GTA series, so imagine I will love this too....
My only worry is the horse bit. I hope there isn't a MASSIVE amount of passage between regions like on Assassin's Creed!

I think this is the attitude we should all be taking. That screamer he scored against Arsenal will live long the memory.
Watch it all go out the window when he rattles one in at the weekend though!
My attituide is summed up earlier (previous page I think). While he was a great player and scored some crackers, he has had a shocking attitude every year since his first season. Godd riddance to a fat, disinterested barstool. But yeh, thanks for the corker vs Le Arse.
-
Same as I feel about Roque. Great player; SHOCKING attitude.
-
Onwards and upwards I say - forget him!
Thanks for the memories...but he's nothing now!
Next...
Could not agree more.
Whoever comes in as his 'replacement', will get 100% of my backing until otherwise proven unjust!
Has he actually GONE yet? Yes, I'd hope so, but if the move falls through and we end up having him for 6 months, and he then goes on to be prolific (I doubt it too, but still) you'll look (and possibly feel) a bit stupid. Never assume they've gone until they HAVE.

Laughable comments from Fat Sam. Is there seriously anyone on this board who would doubt even for a moment just how fast he would leave us in a ditch at the first opportunity? I really would love to see how he feels about "loyalty" when West Ham or Sunderland open their doors to him.
Did he not reject them to come to us? I may be wrong, but I thought that was the case.
And from that article, he implies we haven't even contacted the relevant clubs to begin negotiations for EITHER Basturk, Beattie or Gudjohnsen! However, we already know how bad he is at choosing his words in the media.....
Let's just hope he gets some experience in. I'd prefer experience atmo, as we have plenty of youth with potential at the club:
Kalinic
NZonzi
Olsson
Jones
Banton
Gunning
Haworth
Judge
Doran
DiSanto (loan)
Maybe Linganzi too.

Benni is Rovers best player, he is far too good for Blackburn. He should move to West Ham ASAP and kiss their claret shirt.
Whereas you should move away from this board and continue kissing your sisters ass.

Relying on a player moving to a new country to make an immediate impact is quite a lot of pressure.
I believe we definitely need to sign at least one "fresh blood" from within the Premier League or with PL experience, even if we get Ibricic who is an exciting talent.
I'd personally be happy to stick with Hoilett and Olsson on the wings (despite their inexperience) if it allowed Ibricic to settle. I think kalinic would play a big part in any potential move too. I hope he comes here reardless.
-
Rely on unproven players when in a relegation scrap, bit risky, no?
Yep *cough* Johnny Stead
-
He'll have the same service that's available now Smoss.
Kalanic - 0 goals
Di Santo - 1 goal
Roberts ? goals
That's enough?
With Benni (and maybe Pedersen gone) we might get in Ibricic. He'll provide service for both kalinic and DiSanto! (plus some wgaes saved, I'd hope)
-
Or even better get your phone out and start filming then, wonder what they would do
Excellent idea *evil Mr. Burns laugh*.....

How can you call someone a true Rover with seven appearances for the club, OK he came through the academy and was probably sold against his will.
He's never been quoted or even suggested he would want to return to us as far as I know.
Being a fan of the club, maybe? I wouldn't call him a true rover myself. The true rovers are the ones that pay to watch the team. Not those who are paid to play for the team (whether they are fans or not). Him being a fan is a reason he would fit in imo. I think we need a battler up front so that Kalinic doesn't have to fight so much and can use his talents accordingly. We now have Olsson putting crosses in; maybe Beattie can get on the end of those? It's all ifs and buts, but what transfer isn't?

I walked past it on sunday.
I`m getting sick and tired of being filmed at football games, it happens at every away match too. Makes me feel as if I`m doing something wrong...
I'm gunna start waving at them for the sake of it. There is no purpose for them. Have your cameras by all means, but film when something is happening! Not the innocent people wanting to have a drink and watch the football!

Autobiographies by the following:
Sir Bobby Robson (Farewell but not Goodbye).
Matt LeTissier (Taking LeTiss).
Ian Holloway (Ollie!)
Graham Poll (Seeing Red)
Jeff Stelling (Jelleyman's thrown a wobbly)
All cracking good reads.

It's not just your opinion kamy, it's mine too.

Puppies always prance around and look good when someone is looking through the shop window.
Did you become Brian Clough as your new year's resolution? You've been absolutely hilarious since Jan 1st! Keep it up. much of what you say cheers me up just a notch more

It's a strange one cos, according to the two people I know that were in the pub, the police just locked everyone in for well over 45 minutes. Anyone wanting to go home for there tea or whatever was rudely refused. I'm not for one minute saying that allows you to chuck bottles at the police but I reckon a number of the charges are not football/burnley releated but caused by annoyance at being locked in hen they'd only gone there for a quick drink.
Was anyone actually in there?
I was but had gotten out about 30seconds before the ruckus. I can't for the life of me think of anything that went on to start anything off.
-
Got it, sorry.
-
He might be lazy and overweight, but he's without a doubt our biggest forward threat. Who do you think will be the next striker to bag over 50 goals for us?
Kalinic, one would hope.
