  1. https://www.nec-nijmegen.nl/nieuws/nieuws/bezoekersinformatie-n.e.c.-blackburn-rovers.htm

NEC will play their final friendly match this Saturday in preparation for the new season. They will face Blackburn Rovers at the Goffert Stadium. Kick-off is at 4:00 PM. Below you will find the attendance information for this match.

For this match, NEC will be opening the Hazenkamp Stand. Supporters with a season ticket or club ticket can purchase four tickets. You can buy your ticket online for just €7.50. Tickets at the door on Saturday cost €10 each and will be sold at the ticket office on the forecourt, subject to availability. Due to expected crowds, NEC advises supporters to purchase a match ticket (online) in advance.

The match will also be broadcast live on NEC TV.

  2. 1. Winners of the Championship

    Ipswich- sorry to be unoriginal

    2. Automatic promotion (runners-up) in the Championship

    Birmingham to do an Ipswich

    3. Four Play off semi-finalists in the Championship

    Coventry

    Middlesbrough

    Southampton

Rovers (assuming a Leicester points deduction)

    4. Three relegated sides from the Championship

    Oxford

    Hull

    Sheffield Wednesday

    5. Where will Rovers finish in the Championship?

    6th (has to happen eventually)

    6. First Championship club to change manager (after the season starts)

    Watford

    7. Winners of the Premier League

    Liverpool

    8. A notable wild card prediction of something that will happen in the Rovers universe during the season (e.g. Donald Trump visits Ewood Park)

I finally get to a game at Ewood again

  3. Indian Chicken feed is a classic business with a moat. Difficult to exploit for profit maximisation but Venky's has a national logistics set up nobody else is remotely likely to want to compete against because of the low ticket/low margin and limited opportunity for diversification- there is only so much penicillin etc. a chicken is able to pop down.

Their stubbornness knows no bounds, the faultless business empire that Daddy left them which funds their life starting to crumble would be our best hope. Long may it continue.

That is not going to happen and despite Rovers and extravagant birthday parties, the "kids" plus Mr Desai have done much better at managing and growing their inheritance than Jack Walker's heirs have with their's.

  5. I held back getting my Rovers TV season ticket expecting to buy the Nejmegen coverage at the same time...

Fans are banned and still no sign of the match deal. Of course I could be naughty and post this https://tickets.nec-nijmegen.nl/dashboard but I am far too well behaved to even consider doing so. "Ik kom niet uit Blackburn"

Probably the stiffest test as NEC kick off the same time as we are at West Brom so a solid mid table Eredevise side with no excuse for having extra weeks at the beach when/if we beat them unlike Everton and Elche.

I no doubt will be corrected and am almost certainly hexing us but I cannot recall a 100% pre-season win record before. We came preciously close to a 100% loss record not too long ago.

And facing three teams from top leagues is also almost unheard of pre-season these days. So somebody can do a back flip to show off his naff back tattoo.

NEC have two Japanese centre forwards and their keeper and right winger are rated. Should be a very decent test for VI's boys with the starting XI at the Hawthorns likely to be on display... If Rovers TV ever wake up!
