  1. 1. Winners of the Championship Ipswich- sorry to be unoriginal 2. Automatic promotion (runners-up) in the Championship Birmingham to do an Ipswich 3. Four Play off semi-finalists in the Championship Coventry Middlesbrough Southampton Rovers (assuming a Leicester points deduction) 4. Three relegated sides from the Championship Oxford Hull Sheffield Wednesday 5. Where will Rovers finish in the Championship? 6th (has to happen eventually) 6. First Championship club to change manager (after the season starts) Watford 7. Winners of the Premier League Liverpool 8. A notable wild card prediction of something that will happen in the Rovers universe during the season (e.g. Donald Trump visits Ewood Park) I finally get to a game at Ewood again
  2. Less than 24 hours to kick off and total silence about how to watch it.
  3. Did the same v Qatar We could at least have given them Pasha.
  4. Huge surge of posts but nothing has actually happened.
  5. Apparently Miller has a devastating long throw on him.
  6. Come on Eustace, bid 5m. You know you want to.
  7. I see Rovers have drawn Morecambe in the first game of Group A of the National League Cup. Or maybe not...
  8. Indian Chicken feed is a classic business with a moat. Difficult to exploit for profit maximisation but Venky's has a national logistics set up nobody else is remotely likely to want to compete against because of the low ticket/low margin and limited opportunity for diversification- there is only so much penicillin etc. a chicken is able to pop down.
  9. If we have ambition, both Weiman and Baath had the possibility of being big players for us in a promotion push this season. As a Pasha cash management operation, neither player would feature in Rovers operations and Derby have done Pasha a big favour. As for signing a Saudi international, I hope the loaning club are paying a chunk of his wages...
  10. That is not going to happen and despite Rovers and extravagant birthday parties, the "kids" plus Mr Desai have done much better at managing and growing their inheritance than Jack Walker's heirs have with their's.
  11. Good that Harry's back but will have to take his word for it from that animated postage stamp.
  12. Remember the portion of the publicly quoted company they still own is a tiny fraction of the family wealth.
  13. I held back getting my Rovers TV season ticket expecting to buy the Nejmegen coverage at the same time... Fans are banned and still no sign of the match deal. Of course I could be naughty and post this https://tickets.nec-nijmegen.nl/dashboard but I am far too well behaved to even consider doing so. "Ik kom niet uit Blackburn" Probably the stiffest test as NEC kick off the same time as we are at West Brom so a solid mid table Eredevise side with no excuse for having extra weeks at the beach when/if we beat them unlike Everton and Elche. I no doubt will be corrected and am almost certainly hexing us but I cannot recall a 100% pre-season win record before. We came preciously close to a 100% loss record not too long ago. And facing three teams from top leagues is also almost unheard of pre-season these days. So somebody can do a back flip to show off his naff back tattoo. NEC have two Japanese centre forwards and their keeper and right winger are rated. Should be a very decent test for VI's boys with the starting XI at the Hawthorns likely to be on display... If Rovers TV ever wake up!
  14. WOW! Payment went through first time after the dozen+attempts to subscribe for the Spanish double.
  15. Agreed- I thought Cirino looked a great prospect from the limited coverage I saw of him. Gareth Ainsworth is the Gills boss now. He could have two far above L2 gems if he they can keep injury free.
  16. The frustration isn't a pissing contest about stronger/weaker than last season- it's a toss up with weeks to go to the failure to file on time... The frustration is we came 7th, have a boss who clearly knows what he is doing, we are gazillions under the FFP limits and we are so lacking in ambition to press on for a promotion that would be reasonably attainable this season, fans are debating our relegation risk. Pasha hang your head in shame.
  17. Game totally boycotted by the holidaying Spaniards here in Malta- only English were watching. Usually the Spaniards are the loudest when Real or Barca are in action.
  18. Hedges and/or Cantwell is/are the new Dolan
  19. Forgotten his name, but back in the late 60s or early 70s we blew our entire transfer budget on a player who retired from football without kicking a ball for us. I believe that resulted in the introduction of transfer medicals in the English game.
  20. Perhaps they are playing in the Championship in 25/26 season and this is the Championship 25/26 Season thread. Just a guess...
  21. This is serious pre-season nothing to talk about fan madness. The West Brom game will come round soon enough... then we will wish all we had to talk about were phantom autographs....
  22. Newcastle are bang up against their Fair Play ceiling but haven't learned City accounting yet...
  23. But Michalski, Montgomery, Tyjon and Leonard are home grown youngsters so don't count towards the 25. Add Buckley Back to transfers, any truth that Brittain left Spain a day ahead of the other players?
  24. Cantwell was undoubtedly the most gifted player on either side in the Elche game
