  1. Even more depressing than Rovers.
  2. Glad Sheffield cheaters stayed down. Wilder getting his half time talk and subs all wrong makes it even better.
  3. I didn't think my contempt for the useless pillocks running out club could get any more extreme.
  4. sportapp Looks like Facebook has taken it down
  5. Don't know if it is a fake but just seen a report Ishmael has left
  6. So was the Women's club folded yesterday? My hatred and disdain for the inept management of Rovers is particularly accute over this mess up.
  7. Glad City lost. Painful to see Adam in any shirt other than a Rovers shirt.
  8. What might have been again. What would have been if we didn't have sub National League personnel in Swag and Pasha. What should have been had Venkys got the first clue if how to use their money in football....
  9. Difficult to judge. The club failed massively for the second time in 18 months to retain a coach who was clearly capable of winning promotion with by Championship standards, minimal financial backing (JDT and JE got negative backing). JE departure was also protracted and massively mishandled by the management. Ismael's start was as inauspicious as they come and in the run of defeats we had all the breaks go against us, and we're losing without being noticeably bad but with key players missing. The second half against Wednesday came out of nowhere and Ismael managed to capture that spirit and get the back to back wins despite losing Weimann and Beck. Not winning at Sheffield United is not a damning indictment. Replacing Pears with a rebuilt confidence Toth and retaining Ribeiro over Pickering were sound decisions as was late use of decidedly hit and miss subs. I fear he will have a much worse squad to work with next season. So jury out for me. Might not be the basket case I thought he was.
  10. The super computer got Cardiff right...
  11. On Facebook and a likely fake... Sky Sports News: Tyrhys Dolan said a minute ago, “I’m not leaving, I want to stay at Blackburn Rovers to become a leader,” after turning down a huge contract offer from Man Uinted, Everton and two others big clubs to sign a three-year contract extension with Blackburn Rovers before… Christopher May 4, 2025 Championship rivals leading the chase for Blackburn Rovers ace Tyrhys Dolan, talks have been held already Blackburn Rovers’ season is over with the club narrowly missing out on the play-offs, and they now look like they’ll lose Tyrhys Dolan to a Championship rival this summer. It was an odd season for Blackburn, who started so strongly under John Eustace and looked nailed on for a spot in the Championship play-offs. However, when Eustace jumped ship and joined Derby County, Rovers endured a rough transition under Valerien Ismael and slipped down the table rapidly. A resurgence in recent weeks saw Blackburn on the brink of grabbing a top six berth on the final day of the season, but a draw to Sheffield United ultimately saw them miss out. It’s another year in the Championship for Rovers, then, but they’ll have to do it all without star man, Tyrhys Dolan, who will leave on a free transfer this summer. READ MORE: Tom Cleverley confirms Watford will report Blackburn Rovers star for ‘verbal comment’ amid more ‘drama’ Photo by Ian Cook – CameraSport via Getty Images Middlesbrough lead the way in Tyrhys Dolan race EFL Analysis can exclusively reveal via information from transfer expert Graeme Bailey, that Dolan, who is out of contract next month, is being courted by a number of clubs, but we understand it is Middlesbrough who are currently winning the race for his signature. We are told Dolan will indeed move on at the end of his contract, and the highly-talented winger has already held talks with Boro chiefs about a potential switch. Other clubs are keen, of course, but Middlesbrough are thought to be eager to get ahead of their rivals in the transfer market this summer to make up for the disappointment of missing out on the play-offs themselves. We still don’t know for sure what will happen to Michael Carrick, whose future is in doubt, but Middlesbrough are nevertheless wanting to add more options to their squad, particularly in the wide areas, and Dolan fits the bill. READ MORE: Michael Carrick Middlesbrough future questioned after ‘failure’ vs Coventry City, Steve Gibson was ‘desperate’ Photo by Rich Linley – CameraSport via Getty Images Tyrhys Dolan is a star performer for Blackburn Rovers The signs have been there for Dolan’s departure already. Teammate Todd Cantwell hinted Dolan would move on through his Instagram recently, and Valerien Ismael admitted he’s worried about losing the player, too. They’re right to be concerned, too. Dolan registered seven goals and six assists for Blackburn this term and was by far Rovers’ most dangerous and creative player across the campaign. The former Manchester City academy star has stepped up to become one of the best players in the Championship this year, and at just 23-years-old, there’s so much more he can give, too. Blackburn will certainly feel the loss, and given the situation behind the scenes at Ewood Park, it will be interesting to see if and how they can replace such a key player. Blackburn Rovers ace is ‘confident’ for Sheffield United visit despite barren 21-year Bramall Lane record Blackburn Rovers need to take three points against Sheffield United on the Championship final day to secure a play-off place despite their worrying Bramall Lane record. Blackburn Rovers visit Sheffield United on the 2024/25 Championship final day on Saturday with a spot in the second tier play-offs on the line. Valerien Ismael’s side have enjoyed an impressive purple patch of late, winning four on the spin heading into Saturday, sitting just outside of the play-off pack ahead of the final day hurdle. Chris Wilder’s third-place side is hoping to spoil their play-off potential as the Blades boss eyes a record-breaking end to their regular season. Ahead of the final day clash, Rovers ace Yuri Ribeiro has admitted the Sheffield United visit is “like a final”. READ MORE: Chris Wilder and Valerien Ismael have opposite opinions on Watford Photo by Rob Newell – CameraSport via Getty Images Blackburn Rovers ace Yuri Ribeiro admits clash vs Sheffield United is “like a final” Blackburn’s Championship final day permutations mean they head into the Sheffield United visit with just a projected 12 percent chance of securing a play-off position from the OPTA analysts’ predictions. Ismael’s side must beat the Blades, and hope for fellow top-six hopefuls Bristol City, Coventry and Millwall to draw their respective games against Preston North End, Middlesbrough and Burnley. Ahead of the Bramall Lane visit, left-back Ribeiro told Rovers.co.uk: “We’re in a really good mood having won four games in a row, “We’re confident and we know what to do. We have some really experienced guys in the team and I think we can really enjoy this game. “The fans will be with us, I know that, and we’re really confident. “I really like these kinds of games that can decide something. It’s like a final and the aim is to win.” Continue Reading PreviousPrevious post: NEWS FLASH: Following Mark Pope’s shocking outlook on his future, Kentucky has made a decision on its coaching staff because of…. 12. Club sacked for the third time by a manager in the last ten years says everything about the Rovers now.
  13. If we can't pretend Venkys don't exist today, when can we think only football thoughts?
  14. Because Derby and Stoke are playing each other, one or both will be overtaken by the other clubs winning And Plymouth when they beat Leeds 20-0
  15. Oh my, imagine wanting Leeds to win by 3 against Bristol City tonight. But that's what supporting the Rovers does to you.🙃
  16. If we get into the play-offs, it is odds on we play Sheffield United over two legs. For that reason alone, they are not going to be going easy on us.
  17. Sheffield United, so often the breaker of Rovers hearts. And victories for Leeds, Burnley and Preston are needed. Ugh I feel contaminated.
  18. At least there can be no doubt in supporters' minds. Rovers' management haven't got a clue about what they are doing.
  19. Over ten years age difference probably. I'd offer Batth and Weimann extensions and would gamble on a big deal for Dolan on the basis of being able to recover it and more from a transfer sale if needed.
  20. Absolutely no way we are getting 6th but 7th is quite realistic. Unfortunately we have to be in League 2 or the Naltional League for that to be meaningful. Sunderland were on holiday today including a strange starting selection by their coach. We have to beat what is in front of us and we did. Only Woodrow was below the standard of the other players but his control in the goal build up was top class. Nice to see some quality crossing in the first half but of course Gueye wasn't on the pitch to benefit. Not wanting to jinx him, but I increasingly think we have a keeper in Toth - his distribution in the last two games has been excellent. Good to see Ribeiro keep his place and Brittain continuing his great form. Big plus to see Tyjon at the end.
  21. Both results were draws so we have to avoid defeat at Portsmouth next Sunday!
  22. sadly I never saw him play but never heard a bad word about him. RIP
