  1. Waiting to see if Hamrun Spartans draw Palace. First time ever a Maltese club has made it to European Group stages.
  2. I believe he had an op in Switzerland, the deal was done when it was known the op was a success and he might be available after the international break.
  3. Not taking that much notice but I thought I saw Ismael quoted on Wednesday as saying two more signings was the objective. We are reaching the point where PL clubs finalise their squads and decide which players they are loaning out.
  4. Doesn't look like he is wanted even in Saudi Arabia...
  5. Jack had already converted the debt to equity before he passed away.
  6. So we think the case was heard today but we all missed it?
  7. Norwich are weird. Lost all 3 home games including a 3-0 reverse home to Southampton two days ago But Won both away games by 2-1 at Portsmouth and Watford....
  8. Travis was a very competent defensive midfielder and reliable yellow card collector who is the sort of player oppositions prefer not to come up against. A great servant of the club but at his age time to cash in from football while he still can. Good luck to him. In the cold world of money, he is worth more to Derby than he is to Rovers. As someone else posted, Adam Wharton was a kick in the balls of every Rovers supporter. This is business.
  9. Bit miffed Wrexham didn't steal in. So we are looking for two more signings apparently. Obviously won't talk about a striker because RG won't want it thrown back it him when we fail. The lack of loan players at Ewood could paradoxically make us look very attractive for a Prem club with a young striker they desperately want to see getting game time.
  10. The current BBC text coverage of Kairat V Celtic in the Champions League preliminary is a master piece of extremely inconvenienced and bored reporting from Almaty on the near 200 minutes of really bad 0-0 "football". When it goes to penalties, sounds like they will need to take 20 each before anyone hits it towards goal...
  11. Fulham won their previous game 8-0 so was expecting a real hammering. Well that bit was right but we didn't get hammered.
  12. Going to whisper this but what if the Pasha revolution actually works? The £10k straitjacket hasn't prevented a bunch of signings which have reduced average age and are in the let's see if this works out category. Different refs and those Baggies and Brum performances would have produced different results but can't argue we weren't competitive with two promotion favourites while we put trundlers Hull to the sword. Ismael got Barnsley into the play offs and if he gets a tune out of Cantwell... £1m for Buckley (who in all fairness 3 years ago looked to be the club's future) proves there are feathered members of the porcine family. As for Wrexham possibly paying £4m for Trav.. Well there had to be a reason why a deal to Derby that was nearly done ten days ago remains nearly done. Is Eustace going to sack Derby now?
  13. If you look at the left edge of box camera angle, Hedges shot was going a long way wide and Yuki times his run from an onside position perfectly to get the totally accidental on purpose belly rub of the ball.
  14. Nguomah got poached by Liverpool from Chelsea academy which slightly lessens the pain of Chelsea taking a 13 year old from us for a million.
  15. Or even word escaping from Brockhall in July that was Tavaeres was a horribly useless signing...
  16. Terrifying that this game doesn't make the cut for the past encounters table: Even more terrifying that Chris Sutton was playing central defence for Norwich And that Rovers replaced Norwich at the top of the Premier League table at 5 o-clock that afternoon.
  17. Random musings. We can blow Wodz out of the water in transfer dealings even under Pasha restrictions if we want to. Buckingham is the Saudi Manager, Buckley is that rarely, a Rovers player under contract, so some sort of transfer fee is possible. Henriksson collected yellow cards at his former club for fun with the odd red for a bit of variety .It worried me how he disappeared from the game at WBA after the ref had a word about his persistent fouling. Seems a bit uncoordinated physically from the evidence to date. I wouldn't bet against us screwing outgoings as badly as incomings with Buckley, Travis, Pears and Leonard Rovers players this time next week. I find it amusing to see the same people rightly decrying January slumps and extremely weak Rovers benches currently saying we have too many CMs etc. I like the idea we potentially have extreme competition for places.
  18. International break coming up if he can get a training ground knock to avoid having to go to Japan. My wife is over there currently and it's a 16 hour flight avoiding conflict zones..
  19. Yuki I still in Hull arguing with whoever operates their scoreboard
  20. Yes Hyam does play midfield and forward 🤣 💤
  21. Yes Hedges had a good all round performance and took his goal expertly. BUT He did miss two other chances he should have scored from AND He had screwed his shot well wide from Todd's sensational reversed free kick until Ohashi's tummy saved his blushes. Incidentally the sight of Yuki berating the 4th Official about the Hull scoreboard will outlive even the memory of the 3-0 win!
  22. Wharton had an unimpressive game against Forest but he was still rated 5th best on the park. Not often noted but his passing accuracy and tackling stats are almost super human every match.
  23. Dolan has fantastic feet when on the ball and can bamboozle most defenders. Being a deceptively slow runner will always limit him. Problem at Rovers was his lack of a football brain in reading the game or seizing those split second opportunities his skilful manipulation of the ball regularly present which I think is why the Dolan detractors find so frustrating and decry him as a footballer. It could be good coaching and a different style of league could sort out the head stuff for Dolan. We were worthy winners against Elche in their backyard a month ago and Espanyol are very much the same level of outfit. I think Dolan has a decent chance of winning and holding a starting place in Barcelona.
  24. Social media posts that Morishita is here for what it's worth.
  25. Sergeant arguably the best striker in the division as has been pointed out. The rest of Norwich not clicking . yet. Let's keep it that way. If they do play as they are capable of this will be as challenging as our first two games. So I expect us to be competitive but the result a three way evens bet between the three possible outcomes.
