  1. JE: ‘the most important thing today is that we’re competitive’.

How inspiring. It’s like we’re playing Man City at the Etihad.

Bollocks to that, a win and we’re safe. The important thing is that we’re positive and try to win the game.

I genuinely cannot fathom the small-time mentality that’s been allowed to creep in since JDT left.

  2. I never get the 'TV money' argument.

If Scottish clubs had the same TV revenue as English clubs, the top players are still not choosing either Rangers or Celtic over the likes of City, United, Liverpool - or even the London clubs.

    Bit deluded to think otherwise.

Like this season the plan will be just to stay in the Championship.

    It "suits" the project......

It's the lack of ambition that frustrates me as much as anything.

We've just spent the best part of 2 years challenging for the top 6 and talking about wanting to go up - yet right now, every point is celebrated by the club, as if staying up in the Championship is an achievement for Blackburn Rovers.

This summer is ginormous in shaping how the future of our club looks.

no one mentioned Waggott apart you Abbey.

People can only afford to move where they can afford to buy, not everyone can afford brand new houses in the Ribble Valley or outskirts of Blackburn Rovers for 200k plus.

You won't get anything on Fernhurst/Oakdale (up Jack Walker Way) for under £200k.

I don't think anyone on the estate has any complaints about Rovers being down the road, it's more a case of the roads being blocked due to people abandoning their cars on double yellows / blocking people's drives / things like that.

  5. To be fair, some of the parking going up Jack Walker Way, on double yellows all the way up, prevents emergency service vehicles from getting through.

In fact you don’t get more than 1 car through at a time, which is fun when something is coming the other way.

I’m not arsed either way, as I walk it down to the ground, but some of the matchday parking is pretty grim on a regular basis.

I still cringe at that story from Danny Graham(?) where he would just join in regularly with the boys, shouting his own name... "Coyyyyyllllllleeeeeee".

Ah, the Ben Marshall 'Undr The Cosh' interview - only listened to it this week!

The level of unprofessionalism during Coyle's era; it's absolutely no shock we went down under him.

I also finally listened to King Rat Bradley Orr's one this week also.
    What a fucking cock end.
'If only the fans knew what was going on behind the scenes...'

We knew more than you did, you big-nosed Scouse prick.
Completely whitewashed all of the Kean stuff and made him out to look like some kind of innocent party 🤮

My big issue is him saying we have been fantastic. After sitting through a number of managers spouting utter lies as the club is neglected and abused I have no stomach for another. Also its so far from reality ita has to see him as anything but a puppet.

Fantastic? Harder to beat, upturn in form the last few weeks maybe but clearly anything but fantastic.

He'll keep us up by virtue of other teams being rubbish and think he's great, but in fact he is the luckiest Rovers manager I know to have such a low bar for "success"

    Agreed.

He's either intentionally spouting bollocks, or he genuinely believes that those 13 matches he's been in charge for have been 'fantastic'.

And I'm not sure which one worries me the most.

  8. One of the greatest attributes any leader can have is humility.

All JE is interested in is self preservation with these stupid soundbites.

I can't bring myself to listen to his interviews. You know what generic bollocks is going to leave his mouth before he even starts.

I'd genuinely bin him right now and let Johnson & Lowe take the remaining games.

Hyam's performance was even worse than Shane Duffy's sabotage effort in his final appearance. Hyam looked like he was playing under the influence of sleeping tablets.

The most bizarre bit was keeping him on at HT, but taking off arguably our best player in that first half - and certainly our best defender (SW).

Be interested to hear the justification for this...

John Useless will probably try and put a positive spin on this, and comment that we're all in it together 🤦‍♂️🫡

If he does, he'll have completely eroded any credit he'd earned for the last couple of decent performances.

Stop with the bullshit, this has been nothing short of horrific.

We could have brought on Telalovic to make an impact. He never has before, but still.

I do think he's got a better touch than Gally - the couple of matches where he was given a start under JDT, I think he looks decent enough.

Should have scored a few (at least a couple at Hull springs to mind), but he's just struggling to get that first one away.

Gallagher won a lot of headers today which he rarely does. Couldnt direct them though.

Not exactly sure what Peter Jackson was smoking up in the directors box when he was dreaming up his MOTM. I wonder if a number 9 has ever won one without having a shot all game!

Agreed, he was about as far away from MotM as anyone today - Mr Jackson is on crack.

Brittain was the obvious choice for that, really good today.

  13. I thought we were really good today - the press was excellent and we looked more of a team than we have in a while.

Plenty of positives: clean sheet / Brittain / defensive positions and tracking back / Tronstad excellent / Dolan good and Markanday impressed.

The negative for me was Gallagher. Works hard and does lots of good work, but he’s the point of failure in attack time after time. He just looks out of place when we attack.

But happy tonight. 4 points from the last 2 is a very good return.

I think Ayari looks a player too- only small but very aggressive, tenacious, skillful and can carry the ball. Can see why Brighton thought he might be worth a gamble.

Agreed, I like the look of Ayari - definitely has something about him.
Has the technical ability, but also puts his foot in.
A proper 'Rovers' player, I guess.

Chrisene, I'm still not 100% on. He's looked better in recent games, but I think he's still playing within himself a bit.
