Would he be on holiday if he was looking for a club when the season has started?

You wouldn't think so, but domestic generally means not international or foreign and the only reason for quarantine is if they have been abroad recently or have had a positive Covid test or been exposed to someone who has.

  2. Would spending the money that we used last year on bringing in Gallagher,  with Tosin, Walton & cunnigham on loan, for decent permanent signings in other positions (ie left back and centre back and a goalkeeper) have helped balance the squad.? Rovers have always bought and sold players.  We seem to buy them now and keep them until they are released.

Sack them both ... shambles ..

My Tip would be Mark McKenzie US Player ..Under a Million .. Center Back Hard as Rock .. Fast .. Within Our budget

Prob End Up with some young raw Local lad who lives around the corner ....

Unleaded, why would we sign someone who plays in a League the scouting network have not  been researching, especially as he is already a full international and looks to be

able to pass with both feet, tackle, head and doesn't get pulled out of position. It would be madness to sign someone from the MSL, it never goes well...  Oh apart from Ryan Nelsen.

To be quite honest, the LB position worries me more, because it feels as though Mowbray wants to play Bell there as first choice. That frightens me far more than having to play Wharton/Carter in the middle. Personally, I'd be playing JRC in place of Bell - at least for the time being. JRC is superb at venturing forward and causing problems for the opposition. Bell is supposedly good at that, I hear, but I haven't seen much of it in the 2.5 seasons he's been here. As for his defending, JRC is not great, but Bell is far worse by my reckoning. He's lethargic, doesn't close down crosses, never seems urgent enough in getting back if he's caught at the other end of the pitch... I'd go as far as saying that Bell is the worst left-back that I've seen playing for us. Vratislav Gresko could teach him a lesson or two.

IIRC Gresko was pretty good when on loan, but not as good once signed, but might have been him feeling his knee that pretty much finished him.  Bell just seems like he cant be arsed getting back when we loose possesion even when he looses it!

Grabbi  by a country mile for me

The story goes Souness wanted a centre forward and asked his team to go out and get the top scorer in Serie B.

We ended up with a (homesick) player who considered himself a no 7 for a price at which you could apparently have bought the town his parent Club was in, let alone the Club or the player.

Pretty much agree with Grabbi, cost £7 million (plus wages) scored 2 goall then a free transfer.  But he was a "wide striker" in Italy so Tony would probably have loved him!

  6. If it was the cost of testing that stopped the League 1 and League 2 completing the season, maybe the EFL should have funded the tests rather than expecting the clubs to? PPG with relegation/promotion between  league 1 and the championship which are playing the outstanding games doesn't seem very fair.
