Would he be on holiday if he was looking for a club when the season has started?
You wouldn't think so, but domestic generally means not international or foreign and the only reason for quarantine is if they have been abroad recently or have had a positive Covid test or been exposed to someone who has.
-
It could be any out of contract UK centre back who has been on Holiday recently to a destination on the list, doesnt mean its definitely Ayala?

I just really hope Kaminski is decent. Might be able to buy a decent centre half and left back is King and Raya both go.

I don't think our current Scottish centre back is going to put in a good word to McKenna about coming here!

Signing tomorrow, I feel it in me bones.....
Mulgrew, extended contract?

Would spending the money that we used last year on bringing in Gallagher, with Tosin, Walton & cunnigham on loan, for decent permanent signings in other positions (ie left back and centre back and a goalkeeper) have helped balance the squad.? Rovers have always bought and sold players. We seem to buy them now and keep them until they are released.

I can’t believe Davenport has a buy back option. That’s got to be A joke. Not sure he’s going to oust De Bruyne anytime soon.
Its on the thread about him on here when we signed him.

Offer Man City a higher sell on percentage, lower fee (Maybe with a potential buyback like Davenport) Offer Tosin a decent wage (but with a massive promotion increase) Jobs a good un.

Could the club re-hire whoever found Chris Samba for 400k and Ryan Nelsen on a free? It wasn;t Gary Bowyers dad was it?

Sack them both ... shambles ..
My Tip would be Mark McKenzie US Player ..Under a Million .. Center Back Hard as Rock .. Fast .. Within Our budget
Prob End Up with some young raw Local lad who lives around the corner ....
Unleaded, why would we sign someone who plays in a League the scouting network have not been researching, especially as he is already a full international and looks to be
able to pass with both feet, tackle, head and doesn't get pulled out of position. It would be madness to sign someone from the MSL, it never goes well... Oh apart from Ryan Nelsen.

Think something has gone on with Mulgrew and Mowbray. New contract, club captain then loaned to WIgan before he ended it and came back. Think Charlie might have thought he had a move (or two - one last summer and one in january) and Mowbray doesnt want him in the mix.
-
I would like Nat Phillips on loan, if it means we could sign a decent left back! He is sort of local as well!

What I cant get my head round with Mowbray is his apparent willingness to offer contracts to certain players (downing and rodwell) and then leave them open for ages, but if a younger
player who has the chance of going to a PL team, then its sign for me or on your bike?

Hope its not Morsy, was it not him who "nudged" Dack when he did his cruciate?

"Brace positions" sounds more like plane crash than car crash!

Unless Cunningham is lined up to come back?

To be quite honest, the LB position worries me more, because it feels as though Mowbray wants to play Bell there as first choice. That frightens me far more than having to play Wharton/Carter in the middle. Personally, I'd be playing JRC in place of Bell - at least for the time being. JRC is superb at venturing forward and causing problems for the opposition. Bell is supposedly good at that, I hear, but I haven't seen much of it in the 2.5 seasons he's been here. As for his defending, JRC is not great, but Bell is far worse by my reckoning. He's lethargic, doesn't close down crosses, never seems urgent enough in getting back if he's caught at the other end of the pitch... I'd go as far as saying that Bell is the worst left-back that I've seen playing for us. Vratislav Gresko could teach him a lesson or two.
IIRC Gresko was pretty good when on loan, but not as good once signed, but might have been him feeling his knee that pretty much finished him. Bell just seems like he cant be arsed getting back when we loose possesion even when he looses it!

With regards to Kipre, it might come down to playing every week when fit for less money or playing a small amount and earning more. Agent would probably prefer the latter, the player might not.

Top two on the list of who he follows are Adam Henley and Leon Best. Hope thats not a sign!

Grabbi by a country mile for me
The story goes Souness wanted a centre forward and asked his team to go out and get the top scorer in Serie B.
We ended up with a (homesick) player who considered himself a no 7 for a price at which you could apparently have bought the town his parent Club was in, let alone the Club or the player.
Pretty much agree with Grabbi, cost £7 million (plus wages) scored 2 goall then a free transfer. But he was a "wide striker" in Italy so Tony would probably have loved him!

If it was the cost of testing that stopped the League 1 and League 2 completing the season, maybe the EFL should have funded the tests rather than expecting the clubs to? PPG with relegation/promotion between league 1 and the championship which are playing the outstanding games doesn't seem very fair.
-
Hope he makes a speedy and full recovery. I thought he was just getting towards full match fitness and could have been a key player for us in the 2nd half of the season.

We had a pot to piss in. Unfortunately we have already pissed, on two players played out of position. Not Venkys fault. Hard hat put on.

We have missed out on a young polish player from this club before. Bit of a better scoring record though.
