I think that's pretty harsh. If there's one thing you can say about Givet, it's that he always gave everything out on the pitch, and he stood up to Kean, if my memory's correct. Seems more likely to me that he meant the player's were laughing at the ridiculousness of Allardyce's motivational techniques.

Not sure many on here would've called Downing at left back a "square peg in a square hole" before a few games ago.

If he can consistently show the composure he did for the finish today, then he'll be a real quality player for this level.
