Anybody else feel that we kind of need to go up 2nd as we would buckle in the playoffs? I don’t see us holding up to the pressure of that personally.

who do you fear up the top?

for me Bournemouth with Parker in charge, I don’t see them getting too 2. West Brom seem to be lacking too. So for me I fear boro, forest and qpr seem to be grinding out results with lots of late winners, hopefully that bubble bursts but they seem to be able to keep it going

I personally felt Middlesbrough was a bit of a pressure game and after that performance I would have some confidence in the playoffs games.

Only Fulham , just based on our last experience but they should get automatic.

I do! Cesay and Omole were sent off for Spurs and Garrett for Rovers. Cesay was their number 2.

Was Garrett the rovers player right at the start,  who walked towards a spurs player looking like he was going to nut him ? Near the technical box

    I don't think we're going up.

I think our performances will pick up again after January.

It's not good with a number of the players possibly moving on this window and possible replacements being brought in .

We need 100% commitment to have a chance,  but a few could be hoping to tie up a deal now after some good form.

Once the window closes and Dack plus new signing are getting up to speed, I hope we hit some form again,  but might be a couple dodgy games beforehand.

Nobody is paying 25 million+ for Brererton.

West ham will pay 25+ million for Brererton to be Antonio's understudy?I don't believe that.

Even if he was sold it would most very likely be another inexperienced player that would come in to replace him

I think until we return to the Premier league most of our signings will be young inexperienced players with potential

If we are sticking to our wage structure, we cannot afford the wages of players in their prime, who can impact the first team straight away.

The only exception I see is in the foreign market, which is harder now.

A lot of forward planning needed (succession lines I believe TM reference to ) .

This is fine but not good for a quick fix as would be needed if BBD leaves this month.

This is why Rovers Chat run the academy page on Twitter, it's not technically official but we've got the support of plenty of people within the academy set up, there's good coverage of the 18's & 23's and there's been interviews with the likes of Stuart Jones, Tony Carrs & Simon Cooper on there.

Ahh yes I have seen a couple of the interviews,  good stuff 👍

I don't really go on twitter,  other than following links to rovers topics.

Excellent fighting win despite a poor performance.

    Defence was rock solid.

Does anyone else think Travis is incredibly limited? Really stands out in a strong technical team. Not sure he’s all that, have the ball away so many times today.

Yep nearly said a few times,  doesn't look like he's progressing,  if anything influencing less than before last sessions injury.

I know his role is a limited one but give me a Savage/ Flitcroft/ Batty , think an upgrade as an option, wouldn't go a miss in future .

I'm sure they were putting all their efforts into fixing the streaming problems in good time. Oh, wait...

The club site is shit really 😁 In the last match against Stoke they didn't even bother updating the score from a starting 0 -0,  no line up,  updates etc .

Even to log in to rovers TV you need to do it twice

Definitely. How many times in the past have we played well and got nothing from a match. Ugly wins are good wins. It’s almost like we’ve gone back to basics, being hard to beat and being able to win games with a flash of good play.

We haven’t been able to do this since Sparky was manager and Nelson was captain.

I know it’s the hope that kills you, but it’s hard not to be thrilled at the moment. ARTE ET LABORE!

It's this period ' The Underdogs ' which I still picture Rovers as ( Souness/ Hughes), rather than  the title winning period and the Venkys.  I'm hoping Zeefuik will bring some bite
