The name I was given had a wealth of experience from Academy through to 1st team and is widely respected and still employed in a football capacity.  I think we probably baulked at the cost of that experience / quality.

Now we have a DoF, care to name the one you were given or is it top secret 😉

Yep. I’ve really tried to hold my tongue but this is now appearing farcical at best. We knew he was leaving for a while, yet we’re ‘hoping’ to speak to candidates for a second interview four weeks in. Jesus wept. We will NEVER advance as a club under this lot.

Shhh don't tell Rev as we were all gutter life protesting against these wonderful owners.

I have no confidence it will ever be right until they buggar off.

Will people continue to suck on the teet? Absolutely!!!

Being a board member at Ewood is the easiest cash they will ever get, sit there collect a wage and be the face of nothing

Any owners with an ounce of sense would reflect on what went wrong, take clubs the structure back to way it was when it was bought, even use John Williams, Tom Finn ect (if willing) as advisers to recruit the write people they can trust.

I know it won't happen as common sense and the Venkys aren't good bed buddy's.

    Was Farke ever ‘here’?
Re - Carvalhal, it seems he is waiting on us to go through the rest of our list, but that is hardly going to help persuade him to join.

That is the problem with doing it this way.

It’s going to annoy the better candidates on the list.

This is what happens when you're own by wankers and employ wankers 🤮

From the January window , I drew that it was not one that you would expect from a Club with any genuine aspirations of promotion.

    Far from it.

However IF they made an impressive appointment like Farke or Dyche and funded him properly I wouldn't draw any adverse conclusion from that. I'd be more inclined to think they'd learned from their mistake in January.

If however they give Mowbray a new deal or make a really disappointing appointment in the Woodgate ilk I'd be more inclined to start coming round to your point of view that we will never prosper under there ownership despite what might be promised to the contrary.

The proof of the pudding is in the eating at the end of the day.

F#@#ing hell Rev we've been served this shitty pudding and promises since 2010, how've you managed to breathe with your head in the sand this long.

This will keep going on until there's nothing left to salvage!!!

His exact words were along the lines of "I want to make sure the Club's all right when I'm gone".

Once he had gone the Trust's Solicitor Paul Egerton Vernon announced in the LT that there was no specific pot for the Club but that it was hoped the profits from the other Companies would sustain Rovers. Whether this was Jack's actual intention who knows, but to play devil's advocate the amounts needed to remain competitive at the top end of the Premier League were rising all the time and the family had either no interest in football, or a passing interest but weren't willing to risk the family silver on the Club.

I know several of the family to say hello to and I would say they are exceptionally nice people in a social capacity. As owners however the last straw for me was when they announced they were withdrawing funding from the Club and then one of Jack's other Companies Fly Be subsequently appeared as sponsors on the front of Birmingham City's shirts.

As Rovers needed a net influx of funds of c £2m - £3m p.a. at the time and Fly Be presumably flew a large number of flights from East Midlands Airport I suppose the moves were sensible in a strictly commercial sense.

I bet Jack was spinning in his grave at that point though.

Ross owned FlyBe at the time and took umbrage at having to go to the trustees and for money for another business yet rovers had just spent 8 million on Andy Cole. Maybe (only my opinion) this was his way of sticking 2 fingers up to the club that he had no interest in.

  7. I had a conversation with a friend who has a family member at the club. The jist of it was mowbary always goes on about " I could be at home with my family" when things get to him and he can't cope with criticism. On a Xmas night out with all the players, instead of engaging with them he sat on his own watching some lower tier Scottish game!

As a side note, in training players say Gallagher is frightening when running with the ball at players but can't control balls fizzed into feet, not that I needed telling that.🤪

    Depends what you're after.

If you want 10,000 people with pitchforks and torches causing mayhem outside Ewood Park it probably isn't going to happen.

If you want some of us to completely destroy the footballing arguments in favour of this proposed scheme I think that can be done.

Sorry rev but if fans couldn't see or have the appitite to have their voices heard even when it was and still is obvious that the Venkys aren't fit be be owners then the numbers objecting to Brockhall will be nominal.

As for pitchforks and torches not the people I know, just wanted our club back, but that horses has bolted.
